This quirky beach side A frame that has recently been renovated is well appointed. Wonderful outdoor furniture, double BBQ, great fire, dishwasher, washing machine, and only steps from the sea. Perfect for families in the summer or a romantic getaway for a couple in the winter. The view from your bed upstairs is just a gorgeous sea ! In the summer, throw all the kids together in the one room, and parents are upstairs in their own rooms. Sorry, not suitable for under 5 because of the stairs.

Welcome to The Sows Ear @ Rahui 🐷. 45 mins east of Masterton. A renovated cottage in the beautiful established Rahui gardens 🌸 You cant get much more rural than this. No phones, no wifi , just good old fashioned being 'present', hanging out with Mother Nature, listening to the birds, and enjoying the company you are with. Rahui has 3 houses on it, We are in the front house. You may see us walking about, or quad bikes. Rent the ebikes for a sweet as ride to the coast. Two great pubs near by

Ti Tree Rural Escape

If you need to relax and have a restorative break away then Ti Tree is the place to come. This is an unknown part of the country that has ancient geology and astounding beauty. A guided trip to the river mouth weather permitting and depending on tides is where you will experience 7000 year old Totara Tree stumps . There are amazing rock formations at the mouth of the Kaiwhata river also. Walking options are available and in evening you can relax under the night sky in the spa pool.

Make this your get away base camp for exploring the beautiful Wairarapa. Private 2-bedroom accommodation with bathroom and kitchenette. Sit under the shade of the heritage plum trees, use the hammock, or fire pit. Guests can also have access to the swimming pool. Children only under close supervision as there are dangers on a rural property. The property is also home to a lamb named Ash, 6 chooks, and a cat called Zoom, who will be hiding. Parking for any sized vehicle.
