Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Mascalucia

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad. Het huis is erg comfortabel, en de tuin is prachtig. Onze kinderen hebben heerlijk in de tuin en zwembad kunnen spelen. Als je een beetje buiten de toeristische hectiek wilt zitten, en toch alle voorzieningen binnen handbereik wilt hebben dan is dit ideaal. We willen graag terug komen.

Geweldig huis met prachtig uitzicht op zee. Ruim genoeg voor ons gezelschap van 6 volwassenen en 4 kinderen, met grote woonkamer, fijne keuken met grote eettafel en meer dan genoeg slaapkamers en badkamers. Fantastische tuin met zwembad, al is het zwembad onverwarmd en toen wij er waren in april net te koud om er aangenaam in te kunnen zwemmen. De uitrusting van de keuken was prima in orde, maar ik vond het fornuis en de oven aan de kleine kant voor de hoeveelheid personen waarop het huis berekend is. Koken voor 10 personen was een uitdaging, meerdere grote pannen pasten eigenlijk niet op het fornuis. De omgeving van het huis is wel wat afgelegen, een auto is een must om ergens te komen. Patrizio is een fijne host, reageerde snel en hielp ons waar nodig. Al met al hebben we een heerlijk verblijf gehad en raden we dit huis zeker aan!

We had a great stay in Tina’s place. Tina was always very helpful and very quick to respond to requests. The place is really peaceful and beautiful. To sit outside and listen to nightingales singing, scops owls calling at night and many more birds was fantastic. The only other noise was the bells on the cows as they came past the house to go for a drink. The flowers along the tracks are gorgeous. The place has a fantastic ambience. A wonderful relaxing retreat. Wish we had been able to stay longer.

Het contact met Andrea verliep prettig en soepel. Hij is erg behulpzaam en deelt graag tips over de omgeving en bezienswaardigheden. Bij aankomst in het donker was het even zoeken, maar eenmaal binnen werden we aangenaam verrast door het schitterende uitzicht en de fijne sfeer in het huis. De omgeving is veelzijdig, met volop mogelijkheden om te ontdekken en te genieten. Het huis van Andrea is absoluut een aanrader – het zal je zeker niet tegenvallen.

Die Unterkunft ist gemütlich und lädt zum erholen ein. Für Umgebung ist ruhig und der Ausblick genial. Es empfiehlt sich aber ein Auto vor Ort zu haben da in dem kleinen Dörfchen Puntalazzo die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten beschränkt sind. Zur nächsten größeren Stadt (Giarre) sind es ca. 20 min mit dem Auto das geht aber völlig in Ordnung. Die Parkmöglichkeiten direkt vor dem Haus können je nach Auto herausfordern sein da es etwas verwinkelt ist. Allerdings gibt es 1 min entfernt einen Parkplatz. Orazio ist ein super Host, er ist schnell im Antworten und gibt gute Empfehlungen für die Umgebung und Restaurants. Er ist extrem daran interessiert den Aufenthalt zu bereichern und ist immer gut erreichbar🤩 Absolut top. 👍

Fabulously views. Lovely apartment, basically equipped but suitable for our needs. Safe parking for the motorbikes at the bottom of quite a steep driveway. Supermarket about a miles down the hill. We cooked in the apartment so don't know about local restaurants. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

La petite maison de Francesca et Enzo est idéalement située au pied de l'Etna mais aussi dans une localité paisible, jolie et très agréable, avec toutes les facilités. Nous y avons passé un séjour génial pour visiter toute la côte est de la Sicile. Francesca est particulièrement attentionnée et de très bon conseil. Nous recommandons fortement aux voyageurs qui cherchent le calme, l'authenticité et le contact.

Had an amazing two month stay in this place. The apartment is spaceous and centrally located, I felt right at home. Lisania and her husband were very welcoming and provided fresh linens throughout my stay.

Wonderful house and location! We loved it here. The house has a lot of beautiful furniture, as well as an open terrace with a great view. The host Franco was so very kind, gave us many recommendations on local beaches and cafes

Helgas place exceeded our expectations. We had family of 7 and the apartment is spacious and very comfortable with an amazing view . The location is quiet whilst being only a few minutes walk from the town centre . We had a problem with the shower head and it was sorted within a couple of hours . Great service . Wir waren verzaubert von der traumhaften Aussicht und wunderbaren Natur um uns. In ruhiger Umgebung konnten wir uns erholen und tolle Ausflüge machen. Die Unterkunft hat alles, was man braucht und ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Besonders gefallen hat uns die grosse Glasfront und die Wandbemalung im Bad. Cinzia war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und stets erreichbar. Die Strasse zum Hof ist holprig aber gut machbar.

Sono stata a casa di Francesca per una settimana. La casa è in una posizione perfetta, vicinissimo a lidl, supermercati e centri commerciali. Distante solo 10 minuti in macchina dal centro di Catania (per il tipo di viaggio che avevo in mente io è stata una casa perfetta) in più è leggermente rialzata su una collinetta, e nelle calde giornate di agosto abbiamo avuto il piacere di respirare un po' di aria fresca! a 15 minuti dalla casa si trovano anche delle bellissime zone di mare (come "le grotte di Ulisse"). Francesca è molto disponibile e aperta al dialogo! nel complesso un'esperienza positiva!!

Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet gewesen, was wir für unseren Aufenthalt benötigten. Die Lage hat uns sehr gefallen. Es ist eher ruhig, dennoch sind die wichtigen Ziele in der Umgebung sehr gut zu erreichen. Die Wohnung liegt direkt an der Strandpromenade und vom Balkon aus hat man einen wundervollen Blick auf‘s Meer. Die Kommunikation mit Elvira war einwandfrei. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Rocca’s place was incredible! The view from the balcony and the kitchen were unbeatable and although it’s inside of a complex, it still feels very secluded. You are a 5ish min walk away from the main shopping/dining area of Taormina which is nice and the pool was also incredible! Definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Taormina.

This was our first visit to Sicily. We were a group of 8 with 3 families. We had plenty of space & privacy. The home is truly as beautiful as the photos & is like a step back in time. Maria is an amazing artist who added her special touches all over the home This was Francesco’s grandfathers home built in the late 1800’s. The backyard overlooks the town below & the ocean w Mt Etna on the other side. Magnificent! The added bonus of Rosaria’s services made us feel incredibly pampered. Her services are an additional fee but are very well worth it. She cooked 2 amazing meals for us (her chicken cacciatore is the absolute best!). She also helped secure a restaurant reservation & transportation. Note that a driver or rental car is a must. Unless you are fluent in Italian you will need translation apps. Truly a lifesaver as Sicilians often do not speak English. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever fortunate enough to visit the beautiful island of Sicily.

Villa Gorna is an amazing location with fantastic hosts. The property is as described and photos are accurate. A lot of care was taken to put nice extra features. Orazio was very responsive and helpful, with offers available for tours etc. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend.

This was the most magical Airbnb experience ever. Guiseppe and Giulia are the most hospitable Hosts I have ever come into contact with. They went above and beyond to make our stay the best. The villa is incredible with massive outdoor grounds to enjoy and a very beautiful large deep clean pool. Inside the villa is exactly as described but better! They were gracious and filled the fridges with many drinks to enjoy. They met us at the toll booth and escorted us to the villa and then drove us around town later to familiarize ourselves to the area and provided many dining recommendations. They were even so kind as to make reservations under their family name and deliver the most amazing desserts I have ever had! The location of the villa is perfect for day trips to Savoca and Taormina and surrounding areas. To have such a beautiful peaceful villa to return to made this our own slice of heaven! I would return in a heart beat. Thank you Giuseppe and Giulia for the most amazing stay.

Just about the closest accomodation you will find to Etna! It's a couple of miles off the main road that's a little bumpy in places but well worth the effort. A wonderfully peaceful house set in well maintained, spacious grounds (sit in the shade and soak up the wonderful view!) that is surprisingly cool in hot weather thanks to the thick lava walls. Nunzio couldn't be more helpful and was always contactable. Just be aware there is a resident (very friendly) dog as well as several cats.

It was an unforgettable experience. The location was stunning. It was a real pleasure to stay there. The people who welcomed us were incredibly kind. Everything was very clean. The hosts kept checking in to make sure we were doing well and helped us with all our questions. We are truly grateful for this experience. We highly recommend this place to everyone.

Stay here if you are in Taormina! Louisa could not have been more helpful and kind to us during our week there. Her place is beautiful and peaceful and only a very short walk to the center of town. It was spotlessly clean and spacious with a gorgeous garden and old Roman tomb that our kids were fascinated by. We will definitely stay there again if we find ourselves in Taormina!

My stay at Sarah’s villa has been one of my favourite on airbnb so far. The property is traditional and spacious with two large terraces that overlook the coast to the front and mount Etna to the rear. Its location within a Lemon grove provides an ideal peace and quiet, whilst still being near enough to the local villages to make shopping and eating out easy. Sarah is an excellent host who was responsive at all times and went out of her way on several occasions to help us out (dropping off an iron and ironing board, meeting us at the police station after a minor road accident, and dropping us off at the train station at the end of our stay). She was also greatly informative about the local area. A car is essential as the property enterance is on a tight country road that isn’t easy for those on foot. I’ll definitely be visiting again.

A Hidden Haven in the Heart of Catania We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay. This villa was a truly unexpected haven tucked away in the city of Catania. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the peaceful atmosphere, stunning views, and the beauty of the grounds. The lawns and garden were meticulously maintained—lush, green, and full of color—which made every morning coffee feel like something out of a postcard. The spacious pool was a highlight for our family, offering a private and refreshing escape after a day of exploring Sicily. It was spotless, well-kept, and perfectly positioned to enjoy both sun. What truly set this stay apart, though, was the hospitality of our host Giovanni. Not only was he warm and welcoming, but the food he prepared for us was unforgettable—fresh, flavorful, and a true taste of Sicilian home cooking. We came expecting a comfortable place to rest, but what we found was a sanctuary that far exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend
