I highly recommend this location if you're looking to connect with nature or enjoy a peaceful moment with your family. Hoedspruit is an excellent place to immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature or experience some adventure. Susan and Per’s home is ideally situated in a secure estate monitored by security and surrounded by wildlife. We felt safe and well-connected. The home was updated, clean, and provided everything needed for a bush stay and more. We highly recommend this home for your next visit after exploring the wild. 5 stars!!!

Absolutely magical! Our stay at this incredible spot was nothing short of magical. The views are breathtaking, the space is beautifully and uniquely designed, and the entire experience felt like a peaceful retreat from the world. Waking up to the mountain view was unforgettable. Everything was just as described (if not better), and we felt right at home. Andre and Erna were wonderful, warm, and generous with their time and local knowledge. One of the most unforgettable experiences was feeding the zebras that wander right up to the house. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a special, soul-restoring getaway. We have just come back from spending nine unforgettable nights at Penzhorn Rest Cottage and it exceeded all of our expectations - even better than the photos! Zonja, our host, welcomed us warmly on arrival and was so accommodating to make sure we were happy throughout our stay. Her hospitality has honestly blown us away! The highlight of our stay was the daily sight and sound of the river with nightly hippo visitors which added such a magical touch to our stay, immersing us in the beauty and awe of the African bush. Whether enjoying a coffee while reading by the river or relaxing in the ‘bosbad’ every moment felt really special to us! Zonja’s meticulous eye for detail was evident in the small touches around the cottage which made us feel right at home. This is a haven for nature lovers seeking a luxurious yet authentic escape. If you decide to book this listing you won’t be disappointed! We left feeling rejuvenated and are already looking forward to returning!

Very beautiful and clean place to stay. Absolutely spotless. Very comfortable beds. Magda and her husband are very friendly people. Would reccomend to anyone in the area.

My partner and I had a wonderful one-night stay at Alan's place. We arrived later in the evening, but were warmly welcomed and guided through the gate without any issues. That night, we enjoyed a cozy bonfire in the beautiful courtyard. The kitchen and pantry were well-stocked with essentials, everything was spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Although we had to leave early the next morning, we were able to enjoy a coffee on the porch, soaking in the peaceful surroundings. We only wish we had had more time to stay longer!

Too many things to mention so I’ll get straight to the point: -Location is great, view of the river from patio. Looks exactly like the pictures -Yes you can see hippos from your balcony, yes its 100% safe -Wi-Fi is fast and works -There is a designated braai/BBQ space -Really peaceful, great for get-away in nature -I’ve been to so many airbnbs, this one is my favorite!

The stay was awesome and really easy. Elmone really did his best to accommodate all our requests so that we could feel at home.

This is truly a five-star Airbnb experience, the recently refurbished accommodation is clean and very comfortable with every thing you need for a comfortable stay. Natasja is a wonderful hostess going out of her way to ensure that her guest have everything they need for a great stay. The location provides that perfect blend of quiet bush lodge but still extremely close to the Kruger National Park Gate for the easy entry to the park.

We've got replacement accomodation as there was some problem with the ordered one. It was amazing, however this review is therefore not much relevant. Hosts were perfect. Thanks!

We had a great time,the unit is so gorgeous,the furnishings are to die for the place is beautiful 😍. The linen and towels smelled so fresh,I can go back there anytime 😊. Thank you Judith for being the best host and the extra goodies we received during our stay.
