Family-friendly holiday rentals in Marnac

Peaceful oasis! We absolutely adored our stay here. It was remote but surrounded by beautiful towns and villages to explore. The place itself was perfect for what we needed and just spending time outside in nature/farms. The pool and hot tub were exceptional. It was so quiet we felt we were fully alone and could fully switch off. There was everything you needed kitchen and bbq etc. Would love to come back.

Une petite pause entre amies d'une nuit qui a été juste parfaite pour recharger les batteries. Le gîte est un petit bijou entre la piscine, le spa, la vue, et le calme environnant. L'accueil et la disponibilité que nous a réservé Angélique a rendu notre court séjour que meilleure. Nous serons de retour très vite et comptons bien en faire notre destination annuel (bi-annuel?😊) Merci pour tout!!

Super séjour ! Les hôtes sont très sympas et accueillants. Le logement est propre, confortable et bien équipé, exactement comme décrit. Très bien situé, avec plusieurs villes sympas à proximité pour les visites.

Wij hadden een zeer aangenaam verblijf bij Dominique. De omgeving is prachtig, rustig en charmant. De gîte heeft een authentieke stijl, was zeer goed onderhouden en erg goed voorzien. Ons dochtertje (1,5 jaar) was een grote fan van de geitjes en schaapjes op het domein. Supermarkten, stadjes, marktjes, wandelingen,… alles is zeer dichtbij. Absoluut een aanrader!

Un grand merci à Cathy pour sa réactivité avec notre demande de réservation au dernier moment. Nous avons été très bien accueilli, avec des instructions claires et toutes les informations sur les activités à faire dans la région qui est magnifique. Notre séjour a été super, le logement est très joli et fonctionnel avec tout ce dont on pourrait avoir besoin. Nous avions même ce qu'il faut pour le petit déjeuner à disposition. Le jacuzzi est un vrai plus avec une superbe vue. Une adresse à retenir !

We had a wonderful stay at april and max’s (4 adults and a 1 and 4 year old). The house is in a beautiful and peaceful setting with lots of lovely places a short drive away. April and Max were such warm and kind hosts - we had a minor incident with one of our children while on holiday and they couldn’t have been more helpful. The house was clean and had everything we needed with great facilities - we felt it was better in real life than the pictures. We would definitely return if coming back to the area 😊

Exceptionnel !! Tout était absolument parfait, le lieu est magnifique et très bien décoré. Gilles et Nicole sont extrêmement gentils et nous ont très bien accueillis dans leur havre de paix. Nous avons également pu profiter du jacuzzi, de la piscine chauffée et du petit potager dans leur jardin. Le petit déjeuner proposé en option était également délicieux. Ces quelques jours dans leur gîte ont été une vraie parenthèse enchantée.

le gîte est conforme a la description. le gite est très spacieux avec toutes les commodités nécessaires. environnement calme et reposant. les instructions de David sont très claires. je conseille fortement.

Caroline und Gilles sind sehr herzliche und freundliche Gastgeber, die bei Fragen sofort zur Stelle waren. Die Unterkunft ist wie auf den Fotos beschrieben. Es handelt sich um eine wirklich außergewöhnliche, sehr große Wohnung. Das Wohnzimmer (früher die Bahnhofshalle) ähnelt einem Museum, Caroline und Gilles haben alte Bahnhofsutensilien und Bilder gesammelt und dort ausgestellt. Haus und Garten sind liebevoll restauriert und gestaltet, die beiden haben viel Arbeit (und Geld) investiert, um aus dem alten Bahnhof eine wundervolle Unterkunft zu machen. In der Küche fehlt es an nichts. Das Zentrum von Le Bugue ist ca 1 km entfert, über den schönen Fahrradweg "voie verte" sind es 4 km. Wir haben die Radtouren und unsere Unterkunft sehr genossen. Ich habe mich auch über den persönlichen Kontakt und einen kleinen "Plausch" am Abend gefreut, so konnte ich mal wieder die "eingerosteten" Französisch-Kenntnisse anwenden. Vielen Dank für alles!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et en partie grâce a l'emplacement du logement, direct dans le quartier historique, parking a proximité, jardin public à deux pas idéal pour le chien, grand choix de restaurant ,simple pour sortir et visiter autour de Sarlat. Dans l'appartement tout y est , très fonctionnel

Très belle maison au calme avec deux grandes chambres. Il manquait quelques produits de base dans la cuisine (huile, sel, sucre ...). A noter que ce logement se situe dans un environnement agricole (maraicher), possibilité de présence de tracteurs.

Great Gite in a very tranquil and peaceful location. Well situated for visiting Brantôme and Perigueux and the surrounding area. Christian was very friendly and explained everything well when we arrived. Would recommend this host and this Gite if you like exploring rural France.

We had an utterly fabulous week at Magalie's lovely gite. Very tranquil settings, just the sounds of the birds and peace and quiet. The grounds were beautiful tended and the gite was immaculate and very well set out and equiped. The beds were memory foam I think and very comfortable and lots of hot water. Important things i think when looking for reviews. It rained most days but the heating was on and very comfortable. ,Magalie and her husband were very helpful and lovely hosts. We will book again xx

We had a great couple of weeks here. It proved an ideal location from which to explore the Périgord Vert. A very peaceful spot with a secure garden for our dog and walks nearby. The facilities in the cottage were excellent and as described and we really appreciated the bottle of wine and home made cake on arrival. The pool was very relaxing and comfortable and easily warm enough to swim in late May. There is an (excellent) boulangerie in the nearest village which is walkable and supermarkets for provisions in Brantôme. Several nearby towns had markets. Suzy and Steve (and Alfie) were lovely hosts and we fully recommend it. It was exactly what we wanted.

We were a group of 6 and had a fantastic time in Rachel's house in Thédirac. The kitchen was very well equipped for us to prepare meals, there were lots of lovely outdoor places to sit and eat, the garden was beautiful and well maintained (and a great source of herbs for cooking), and it was a real treat to walk to the bakery each morning for fresh bread and croissants. It was about 30-60 mins drive from the main attractions, which was fine for half-day or day trips. Couldn't have asked for more.

We had a wonderful stay at Château de Monciaux. We were 12 adults, 5 infants and 3 children and there was plenty of space for all of us. They were even able to accommodate our request for 5 high chairs and 5 cots, which came in very handy. Agnès was incredibly helpful during our stay and responded quickly to our enquiries, even dropping by in person one day to help sort something out. I would definitely recommend this place to any large groups!

We went as 3 families, 2 with young children. The Villa was perfect, pool was great and the aircon was a blessing on the few extremely hot days we had! It was very easy to walk into town with a variety of restaurants and shops, supermarkets very close by and a Lidl in walking distance. The villa is far enough away though that there is no traffic etc noise, very peaceful surroundings. Emmanuelle was very responsive to messages and always easy to get hold of, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nous avons sejourné chez Noisette and co pour la seconde fois. La localisation est ideale, le logement est tres propre et bien equipé. Cest un lieu tres tres calme et reposant. L'accueil est irreprochable. Nous sommes encore une fois ravis de notre séjour!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ces magnifiques cabanes perchées en Dordogne. L’emplacement est idéal : en pleine nature, au calme, tout en étant à proximité des principaux sites touristiques de la région. Le cadre est paisible, ressourçant, parfait pour se déconnecter. Les cabanes sont très bien équipées, décorées avec goût, et tout est pensé pour que l’on se sente immédiatement à l’aise. Un vrai petit coin de paradis que nous recommandons sans hésiter. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !

Notre séjour à Monfort a été extrèmement agréable. Quel bonheur de boire son café dans le jardin le matin face au château de Monfort. Certes le logement se trouve juste à coté de la route (donc si vous voulez du silence totale ce ne sera pas le cas) mais la vue et les environs font de ce logement un endroit tout à fait exceptionnel, ce qui en fait oublier ce petit désagrément. Morgane a été une hôte charmante et tout à fait à l'écoute. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement pour une pause hors du temps. Merci pour tout!

An excellent choice. It was off season so we had the benefit of total calm. Within easy walking distance of a train station, boulangerie and great restaurant. The gite is well- equipped but we brought our own bedding and towels. We were only there for four nights but given the lack of height in the bedroom, if we were staying longer, we may not have chosen the gite because we are both tall. The woodwork is impressive and all in all, we highly recommend the Bergerie for a total escape but with the convenience of not having to drive everywhere.

A lovely peaceful place to relax. The house is very cosy and has a nice area to sit outside and enjoy the view. The pool is nice and large, and along with and the many other leisure facilities very well looked after. Alan and Fanny were very friendly and gave us some good tips on places to visit. It's a very short walk into the village where the Forge restaurant is well worth a visit.
