Welcome to Charlotte’s Place in the beautiful little town of Clarens in the Orange Free State. We have made every effort to make your time with us as comfortable as possible. During your stay you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity that Clarens has to offer and which is surrounded by the beautiful Maluti Mountains. Due to load shedding we have installed an inverter for your convenience as well as a tank to supply the house with water when the towns water pumps can’t pump due to load shedding

Step into another world when you stay at the Clarens Mountain House. Perched high up on the slopes of Mount Horeb, overlooking the beautiful town of Clarens, this home is second to none. Located in the Eastern Free State and surrounded by the pinks and yellows of the renowned sandstone mountains, the Mountain House offers views out towards Golden Gate, the Maluti Mountains and down into the valley over the busy little town full of its art galleries, restaurants and the well known Brewery

Four Good Seasons

A stunning house filled with bright, natural light. River frontage and valley and mountain views. Two sitting rooms, both with DSTV so you can have sport and cooking on at the same time! Only 6 minutes drive from The Clarens Square and 26 restaurants, yet you can unwind completely in the peacefulness of the wind and sunshine. Lovely walks. Electric blankets and wood burning fires , fully equipped kitchen, 4.5 bathrooms for 6 bedrooms including one with 4 bunk beds. It's huge but homely.

Waterfall River Lodge

This is a unique, comfortable, fully kitted, self-catering house sleeping 8/10 people. Hidden in a quiet corner of our working farm it overlooks a pristine section of the Wilge River, with the famous waterfall and Nelson's Kop mountain providing spectacular scenery. Guests will be able to enjoy absolute peace, uninterrupted views and walks in almost every direction. Please note that the property is remote and the last 200m of the access road will require a high clearance vehicle.

G&T Cottage

A beautiful sunny home close to town but down a quiet street, with stunning views of the local mountains. The house has been recently built and has everything needed to make it a home away from home. It has large living areas, separate kitchen, full bathroom with walk in shower, toilet and large bathtub and a guest bathroom. the cottage is a close 300m walk to the main town square and is decorated in modern African style, perfect treat for a couples weekend away in Clarens!

A barn with great views of the valley into KZN

A hop, skip and a jump off the N3, situated in in the Van Reenen Eco Village Precinct. Down the road from the little church tea garden. A great one night stop off. Breakfast at the Tea Garden (not included) or take a early morning walk before continuing with your journey. Dinner can be booked in advance. Safe and convenient for single female travelers with manager living next door. No charge for children/elderly parent sleeping on lounge bed if accompanied by both parents.

Clarens Villa Apartment

This unique place has a style all its own. One bedroom en-suite apartment joined to a main house with self catering facilities. The living area is heated by a wood burning fire place and the bedroom en-suite has an air conditioner. Braai facilities on site as well as a Smart TV with DSTV and WiFi. Two to three kms from the centre of town, on a mountain side. It is the bottom level of a three storey house but completely private and not affected by loadshedding.

Calm, relaxing and beautiful views. Walking distance from town, easy access to mountain trails. Free unlimited Fibre and a Wood-burner fireplace for those cold nights. We have solar power and a borehole. Being independent of Electricity and Water, will ensure that your modern comforts stay in tact during unpredictable load shedding or water challenges. You will always have hot water, lights, Wi-Fi & security.

Dragon View Estate, Central Drakensberg

Set on a private eco-estate. Dragon View Estate is situated in the heart of the much loved, Champagne Valley. Centrally located close to family-friendly activities including 2 golf courses, hiking, the reptile centre, the extreme adventure centre, Drakensberg Boys Choir, Bakeries and Restaurants. A Saverite grocery store is also available a couple of Kms away. Great for families, and larger groups.
