Beau’s father “Goodie” built Goodie’s Gravel Get-Away and was his permanent residence for 25 years. You can see a lot of work has went into it. We want you to enjoy it as much as we do. Goodie’s is our home away from home. This is a shop style home on 30 beautiful acres. You will enjoy 2 ponds, a private discgolf course, sand beach, 2 docks, walking trail, fishing, fire pit, and so much more. We are located on the edge of the flint hills which is a must see when staying.

Please read: I live in the home, so closets / dressers are full. It's not fancy, but cozy and loved. On the edge of town, you get amazing sunset views. This one-stop-sign town is 7-10 miles from Emporia, small, and friendly. You are just blocks away from an amazing restaurant (Rolling Hills) and bar (Harry and Lloyds) - both the best in Lyon County. There is a gas station, bank, and liquor store very close, as well. You are about 10 minutes from a Wal-Mart and fast food.

Campsite is on the site of a former Atlas E missile silo well houses.

Marcy was extremely helpful in her instructions on the checkin process and with instructions for items in the home. The home was perfectly located for what we were doing in Emporia and it is in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood. Marcy left us a welcome gift that was so thoughtful and delicious! I would definitely stay here again.

First and foremost, Keevin is an excellent host and communicator. His responses were always within a few minutes. And his attention to detail is a nice touch - cold drinks stocked in the refrigerator, travel toiletries provided for each guest, led lights under the bed that can be used as night lights - all the things a traveler like me appreciates while on the road. He was also very flexible with both check-in and check-out times. As for the house, it’s truly a hidden gem: - location (if doing Unbound) is beyond perfect - just a few blocks from the start line - individual rooms have their own television - kitchen is well-equipped for cooking - nice area and proper equipment for working out - plenty of room for bicycles and gear - very pretty back deck and yard with a beautiful pond full of Koi I can’t recommend Keevin’s place enough and I really hope it’s available next time I’m in Emporia.

Heart of Emporia, Unbound Gravel Biking

My three friends and I recently stayed at Joshua's place in Emporia KS. We chose this place due to the location to downtown Emporia, as we were competing in the Unbound 200 mile Gravel Bike race. The house and location could not have been more perfect. We were able to easily walk (or bike) to all of the Unbound Gravel activities in town and when not out and about the house was perfectly comfortable for 4 people to kick back and relax. The house had everything we needed and Josh was responsive to any of our questions. Would definitely stay here again in the future.
