Holiday rentals with a kayak in Lunenburg County

We enjoyed staying at Robert's fabulously decorated home. It is a unique home in a beautiful setting; it's not often we get to stay in a home with exotic birds, friendly ducks, and a dinosaur room. And Robert is an excellent host. It's a great location for seeing the area - many attractions within a 1-2 hour drive. We would stay here again if our travels bring us back to Nova Scotia.

From the moment we arrived at this charming cottage, we were blown away by the breathtaking view. It made every sunrise and sunset feel magical. The amenities were equally impressive. The cottage was clean, and beautifully decorated, and stocked with everything we needed - from a fully stocked kitchen to linens and even games for a rainy day. The location was fantastic, as we were just minutes away from local grocery stores and a mix of eateries - perfect for grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a leisurely dinner. Plus, the area is packed with sightseeing adventures and historic landmarks to hidden gems we discovered along the way. This place felt like home away from home and we can’t wait to go back again!

The Pearl was a beautiful place to stay! From the furnishings and artwork, to the amenities (like a hot tub and sauna) and private surroundings, it had everything you would hope to find in a vacation getaway. Liz put extra care and thought into this home, and it shows. Fresh bread and eggs for breakfast, scented candles for a cozy ambiance, wood for an indoor fire or a heat pump for added warmth, and soap, shampoo, lotion, etc that is free of many allergens and chemicals) just to name a few. I honestly could have left half of what I packed at home as this place has it all! My only regret is I wish I had more time to spend there. Don't delay in booking this space.

We loved our stay here. Great location for getting to different places. Beds were super comfortable. Nice front porch to sit and relax in the evening. Owners live on the property so you will pass by eachother, they are really friendly.

Our family of six adults really enjoyed this beautiful, well-appointed house — particularly the location. This new home has incredible views and we spent considerable time enjoying the wildlife that came into the cove. The hot tub, sauna, croquet set, and kayaks were really special added bonuses of which we took advantage. The house had everything we needed in regard to linens, kitchen items, and entertainment. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The location was very private and peaceful — we didn’t see another person save some friendly waves from passing boats. We drove about 25 minutes for a dinner in Shelburne and visited Digby (2 hours away) and Mahone Bay (~1.5 hours away) while we were there, but also — because of the beautiful setting — ended up spending more time at the house than originally intended. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay at Hook’d 2. The deck right onto the water during sunset was pure heaven. We relaxed in the hot tub while playing some tunes in their speaker. The inside was beautiful decorated and comfortable. The place was in a great location and was a very short ride to Lunenburg. We were well informed about everything through the host and they answered back in a timely manner. We will definitely be coming back!

It was a place like more than a home. Feeling of residing in a resort. We liked very much. In future when ever we plan to visit this side we will see that we come and relax in the place

This place was incredible! Close enough to Halifax to enjoy the city but remote and quaint to enjoy the seaside life. The accommodation was very well stocked with coffee, milk, bread, treats! Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay at Melanie's cottage. The cottage was very spacious, clean and had absolutely everything that we needed. (bottle of wine was a nice touch) Melanie was very responsive to our questions and responded right away. The cottage is on a busy street but is relatively quiet when you are on the beautiful front deck. We would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to explore the area.

Great place with an outstanding hosts. Instructions were simple and clear. View of the water is beautiful with lots of wildlife in the area. Plenty to do or not to do if you choose.

Nancy and Darren’s place was a slice of paradise. Our 2 big dogs, my husband and myself loved our time at the Red Door Barn. We started our mornings at Louis Head beach, located a short 5 minutes car ride. We had the beach for ourselves and our dogs loved playing fetch on the beautiful stretch of sand. The Red Door Barn is impeccable and Nancy thought of every little detail. It’s beautifully decorated. Extremely clean. And just perfect. We loved the extra dog friendly touches such as the doggie treats, the water bowl, the blankets and the big basket near the door full of little surprises. The kitchen is fully equipped. We cooked Lobster from the Wharf several times during our 12 nights stay. I highly recommend staying at The Red Door Barn. We can’t wait to come back.

Ein schönes Cottages, was bei gutem Wetter, eine Vielzahl an Möglichkeiten bietet. Aber auch wenn es mal nicht so passt mit dem Wetter wie leider bei unserem Aufenthalt ist Halifax und Co. nur etwas über eine Stunde entfernt.

Unfortunately, due to health circumstances, we were unable to stay at Shelly’s place. However, communication with Shelly was excellent, she is very compassionate and understanding, and I look forward to staying at her place in the future.

Ian and Sandi’s family cottage was perfect, like finding a piece of paradise. It was even more beautiful than the pictures and descriptions portrayed. Beds and linens were amazing, kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need, beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. It’s spacious both inside and out. We can’t wait to go back.

To say we were satisfied is an understatement. We most definitely will be booking again to utilize in the summer season. We rented this time to be closer to the venue holding my sons wedding, and having such a wonderful home and hosts made is so much easier on us ❤️

My friends and I had a wonderful stay here! It was a peaceful, serene place with ample space for our group size.

The boathouse is such a beautiful location. We had most perfect, relaxing, unplugged weekend (swam, kayaked, read, napped, forest bathed, star gazed and soaked in the fresh sea air). We were the only guests on the property so it was very peaceful and private and only an hour from Halifax. Hosts were super accommodating. Highly recommend!

Loved this spot. If you enjoy a cozy rustic cabin (with electricrity and plumbing) with a view of the water then this is perfect. I plan on staying again if I'm back out this way.

The cottage was exactly what we were looking for, even better than we expected! We can’t wait to go back in the Fall. We think it will be awesome once the leaves begin to turn! Highly recommend for a mini retreat!

Jodie and Marc’s airbnb was above and beyond what we anticipated. Although the weather wasn’t what we were hoping for, we had such a great time. They had numerous amenities and necessities that were all provided. It was a great place to have a nice staycation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you have any fur friends, this is the place you want to go! Although we didn’t bring any puppers with us, we were pleasantly surprised at the thoughtfulness Jodie and Marc provide for your furry friends! The thought that has gone into this Airbnb is impeccable. Would definitely stay here again and again!

If you are looking for a place to kick back, relax and make some memories this is the place. The sunrises from the loft were magnificent- and the short walk to enjoy coffee on the lake was well worth it. Indoor and outdoor areas were well thought out, and just added to our overall experience. We will definitely be back :)
