Holiday rentals with lake access in Lough Derg

excellent location. check in was seamless. house had all the amenities I needed and more. couldn't fault anything. Will definitely rebook if I need to stay in Loughrea again

It was a nice staying in Sarah’s spacious, beautifully decorated apartment. Everything was as described and shown on the pictures. The apartment was ideal to explore different surroundings as it‘s close to both nature and little villages.

Conor’s place was fantastic! Extremely tasteful and cosy. We particularly enjoyed the warm and subtle lighting during the night hours. I would highly recommend a stay at the cottage. I look forward to coming back and staying for longer than 1 night. Thanks very much Conor!

A perfect, dreamy location with amazing views and the natural world all around you! A wonderful spot to enjoy nature, to enjoy water and to have friends and family comfortably around. A quintessential lake house in every sense. Would HIGHLY recommend this gorgeous and magical spot.

Very enjoyable stay. The lodge was functional, clean and comfortable, very attractive size and well equipped. Philip was accommodating for late arrival and early departure. Instructions for daily life in the lodge were clear and sufficient. Philip, the host, was smiling and gave very good advices. Thanks a lot.

Wir mochten das kleine Häuschen inmitten eines wundervollen Gartens mit viel Ruhe sehr. Es ist liebevoll ausgestattet, mit allem was wir benötigten und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind von dort aus gut erreichbar. Conny ist eine sehr freundliche Gastgeberin, die uns begrüßt, verabschiedet und mit vielen hilfreichen Tipps versorgt hat (ausserdem mit leckeren Cookies :). Es war uns eine Freude dort zu wohnen und wir würden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

If you have a chance to stay with Frances you are so lucky. One of the nicest hosts I’ve met through AirBnB. The house was perfect and spotless. Homemade baked goodies were to die for on arrival. The fire was lighting, the heat was on and the house was so cosy and warm. Beautiful and quiet location in the countryside. We booked Prosecco Painting and it did not disappoint. The snacks and Prosecco was flowing and the 4 of us now see ourselves as budding artists. The hot tub in the evening to relax topped it all off. All the locals we met on a walk were so friendly and helpful. The beds were so comfy. A home away from home. We will definitely cross paths with Frances again. She is just amazing!!!!

Had a great stay at the lakehouse, its a beautiful location and very remote, so extremely peaceful. We were lucky with the weather and had a perfectly calm lake and magnificant sunsets most evenings. The house has amazing lake views and you could spend hours relaxing in the living room enjoying the serenity. We liked having access to the private pier, to do some fishing didn't require a boat, and pike and perch were caught every day. Having a great supply of coffee pods and a machine was great and appreciated. A very special house that I hope to return to again some day. Madeline was a great host and made us feel very welcome. Sorcha and Roy's cottage was perfect for our stay to explore Connemara. We received a kind and warm welcome when we arrived at their home, and Sorcha was very helpful with all her instructions. The cottage itself was peaceful, clean, and quiet and we felt right at home. Not to mention, the beautiful surroundings. I only wished we could have stayed longer. We can't recommend this place enough!

a lovely apartment with everything you might need. Slept very well with the firm matress and quality bedlinen. Good shower pressure and lots of towels in bathroom. The pizza downstairs in the bar was so good that we had it 2 nights in a row. Really friendly and helpful staff in the bar who gave us plenty of recommendations for the area. The pub was full each night but we didn't have any issues with sound or noise from below. Highly recommend staying here.

A great place to sleep and relax in a quiet neighbourhood. A full kitchen to cook your own meals in, a comfy bed and an adorable guard dog/playmate Oreo keeping the yard in order. Stayed here for 2 nights and it was absolutely perfect.

Highly recommend this house for a group or family occasion. we had everything we needed and everything was in walking distance. The whole group were really pleased. Malcolm was very responsive and helpful when I needed him. Spotlessly clean and had everything we needed to cater for 11.

Fantastic location in Galway. Near great food options and close to the main tourist areas. Very walkable area. Only 1 step to get in the Apartment. space was on the limited side but fine for 4 adults. Women may want to bring a mobile mirror as the only mirror is in the bathroom but there's no outlet in there to do your hair. Very minor issue overall. Would definitely stay again. And will recommend to anyone who's visiting the area!

Great short stay at Cathals place. It was clean and comfortable and as described. Communication was quick and easy with Cathal. Would stay again. Nice walk into Killaloe restaurants along the lake. Would definitely come back.

Excellent venue and base for a family get together. Already know the area so we instantly relaxed and settled in . The area is amazing.

The cottage is in a rural area, very beautiful and quiet, with woods and meadows nearby; it is spacious, with a large living room and a lovely veranda overlooking the lawn. Sally was a helpful and very courteous host. It was a perfect stay.

Wir haben die Ruhe und die schöne Umgebung sehr genossen. Das Cottage hilft einem dabei, den gewohnten Alltag zu vergessen. Der Blick aus den Fenstern ist in alle Richtungen besonders! Man blickt entweder auf Berge, Loch Coulin, Kühe oder Schafe. Die zur Verfügung gestellten Informationen sind sehr ausführlich - doch wir haben es auch nicht geschafft, den schnellsten Weg auf den Mount Gable/Binn Shléibhe zu finden. Wir sehen aber das Herumirren - das auch von anderen Gästen dokumintiert wurde - als lustiges Abenteuer an, das zu diesem Aufenthalt dazugehört ;)

Had such a lovely stay in this large, beautiful cottage! Great location, walking distance to the town centre, shannon river and all the local amenities. The cottage has lots of space- large bedrooms, two bathrooms with showers and a lovely kitchen/sitting room area, with everything you could want in them. The outdoor area was great too. The beds were really comfortable. Very easy to find and access, with a helpful video sent well in advance of the trip. Will definitely stay again in the future, highly recommend the cottage and the location.

We had a lovely stay at Audrey’s house, every thing was as expected, very clean and spacious,outlook to front through the glass sliding doors looked out across to the park . We were met by Paul who showed us around and said we were to contact him if there were any problems of which were none, we have been going to Mountshannon for 26yrs now, it is a lovely wee village and the people are so friendly, we will definitely be back

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was cozy and quiet. The property is beautiful and there were lovely grounds and woods to explore. John provided us with a fascinating tour of historic Lisdonagh House. They also gave us helpful recommendations for sites to visit in the area.

Sheila & Michael were great hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at dairy cottage. They were communicative throughout and supportive with any queries including late check out! Highly recommend staying with them!

Pat and Mary Angela are marvellous hosts. When we arrived the fires were lit, the table was set and there were gorgeous scones made by Mary Angela. They are both so friendly and gave lots of recommendations of places to visit. Their lovely cottage is perfectly situated for exploring Galway. It is definitely a home from home. My husband and I along with our 3 adult children and 2 Jack Russells had a great time there and we had everything we needed. We also loved Pat and Mary Angela's cafe and bookshop in Oughterard Village. Well worth a visit. Couldn't recommend this cottage highly enough!
