Staying at this beautiful country house just outside Adare was truly an unforgettable experience. The home, originally built in 1831, is steeped in charm and history while offering all the modern comforts you could hope for. The house itself is stunning. High ceilings, antique details, and cozy accents make every room feel like part of a storybook. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking, and there was plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy. Our hosts were warm, welcoming, and thoughtful—offering great local tips and making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a peaceful, authentic Irish countryside retreat with historic character this is the place.

Noreens place is the best way to see Ireland and experience it fully. There is space to relax and enjoy yourself. The recommendations need to be listened to. She leaves flyers for every thing on the bookshelf incase you need help planning. She will answer any questions and will deal with any problems. We had a magical time with Richard at the Wild Atlantic Bus. A truly spectacular place. Has to be one of the most unique places to stay in Ireland. Forget staying in a castle when you can stay in a double decker bus! Richard was a great host. So friendly and informative about the area. Thank you Richard we hope to return again.

We had a wonderful stay in Bunratty! The home was very comfortable and perfect for our group of five — clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. It was also in a great location, conveniently situated between Limerick and Shannon Airport, which made our travels really easy. Our host was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay, offering great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. We even had the chance to meet them in person at check-out and took a quick photo together — such a thoughtful and personal touch. Highly recommend this Airbnb for anyone visiting the area — great hospitality and a lovely place to stay!

What can I say, it is a wonderful property, the views are spectacular. Very comfortable bed. Mary was so warm and welcoming, made us feel right at home. We enjoyed sitting looking out at the wonderful view, seeing the lights across Lough Corrib, I’m sure that image will stay with us for a very long time. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Lils Airbnb just outside the enchanting village of Adare was perfect. Ten minute walk to town. Beautiful garden. She was extremely responsive and helpful. She even brought us back to town on our final day and returned with our luggage at our bus departure time! Beds were very comfortable , slept well.

Amazing stay!! My boyfriend & I got engaged in the backyard! Absolutely beautiful place, and David & Irene were great hosts, who were so kind and inviting! We got a whole tour of the property and all of its history. Hopefully be back some day!

John's little cottage was beautiful. The views from the cottage stunning. To be able to hear and see the ocean was so tranquil. John was extremely friendly and came to my rescue as I got a flat tyre . My dog Duke loved the beach he explored it for hours . If you want peace and quiet with the most beautiful views John's cottage is a must . I definitely will be going back again . Tbh I didn't want to leave there.

Selina’s cottage was one of those Airbnbs that you feel at home. It was warm and cosy. We had everything we needed for our 2 night stay during our trip around Ireland. Cooking facilities and all the extras that Selina has in the kitchen makes it so much easier when you are travelling. The bed was really comfortable, and plenty of room in the lounge area, and Netflix a bonus! We wished we could have stayed longer in the area. Steve loved the muffins that Selina had baked. Her communication was great also.

Nice place and Andrew was helpful with local information and expectations. One thing to consider is the Idler bar, which is a 5 minute walk, only takes cash so be prepared for that.

Keith made everything so easy from start to finish. The house is lovely & cozy. We were down for a wedding in Gloucester house. It is a really good location for Gloucester as it is only a stroll away. Would highly recommend Valhalla.

we couldn't recommend this fabulous accommodation enough. It is set in beautiful surroundings with spectacular views. The property is everything you need and more. The rooms are all excellent and we had a choice of relaxing spaces to chillout in. Fantastic location with great space both inside and out. We met John who was lovely to chat to and pointed us in the right direction for activities to do etc. We will definitely be returning 😊

Our stay was fantastic. The house was wonderful, nicely designed with lots of space. The beds were comfortable & the bedrooms had ample space. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies & the kitchen table was big enough for a large crowd Deidre was so very helpful & kind. She helped us with securing transportation to Galway one day. She gave us tons of suggestions for activities & restaurants. The house was perfect.

Carola was great in all the communication. The house was perfect for our family with 5 children of different ages. Toys and books and enough spaces for each to chill. Lovely outside space and inside all available that you may need. Would certainly come back

This is a love song to Atherlow Castle. Our family of 6(all adults) stayed for a week and didn’t want to leave. We truly felt at home. There’s plenty of space for everyone to have their privacy in the castle but there was still such a comfortable feeling. The grounds are lovely, with the nicest looking herd of cows I’ve ever seen peacefully grazing on impossibly green grass. Freda and Declan were quintessential hosts! Friendly and unobtrusive with adorable bouncy dogs. The area, as described by a local tea shop owner we struck up a conversation with, is real Ireland not tourist Ireland. All of the major sites are within driving distance but the local area has hidden gems. We have stayed in wonderful Airbnbs all over the world but Atherlow Castle won my heart.

Located in a private forest, Finola's estate is a living history. It's my first time staying in such an old building. A quiet country road takes us into the woods, then the fountain welcomed us, just like entering an elegant Victorian film. The house is equipped with all modern facilities and even a bathtub. The first day, the wifi was not functioning, but Finola helped promptly. Minor flaws: the cups were not cleanly washed, and providing toiletries would make it even more perfect.

What a beautiful place to stay in. The house is stunning and really has the wow factor when you walked in. Susan was super helpful and friendly throughout the full booking process and whilst we were in Ireland. We would 100% stay there again and hope to make it a regular holiday spot for our family. Highly recommend goosers pub on the other side of the river.

Justin was helpful from my first enquiry onwards. The property was as described & spotlessly clean. Easy & clear check in instructions received. Could not fault this in anyway.
