Cottage holiday rentals in Los Nogales

Peaceful stay for a week. Beautiful elevated location with panoramic views. Rocabella restaurant at the bottom of the track was great if you dont feel like venturing out far, with a varied menu from light bites to main dishes with burgers, steaks and fish.. My advice would would be to grab some basic groceries from a supermarket prior to going up to the house i.e coffee, bread eggs , drinks etc. I travelled with my ederly mother and the accomodation was suitable for our needs as she is unable to manage steps. There is one twin room downstairs with a bathroom and walk in shower which is next to the kitchen , lounge and outside patio so easy access for her with limited mobility. its would not be suitable for a wheelchair however. Upstairs there is a double bedroom with doors opening onto a patio with table and chairs, perfect for your morning coffee to relish the sun rise and sunsets, and also affording privacy if travelling with others in your group. I throughly enjoyed my stay. 😊

At Casa Lopez, we stayed for 1.5 months as 5 adults, a child, and a dog. Occasionally, we were up to 10 people, but space was never an issue. The villa is beautiful with stunning views of the mountains and surroundings. The mountain road to the villa adds charm, and the place feels comfortable and safe—even accessible with a Fiat 500. The villa is more spacious than the photos suggest. Rafael, the host, showed us all the amenities: pool, Jacuzzi, and game room—all in perfect order. We also worked from the villa using the internet without any issues. The area is picturesque, close to beaches, mountains, and towns, with plenty to do. The hosts are very kind and helpful, even recommending a mechanic when needed. After 1.5 months, we still felt their warmth and friendliness. Leaving Casa Lopez was emotional for us. So, I recommend the villa for vacations, as well as a place where after work you can open some wine and jump into the pool. I wish everyone an equally wonderful stay.

We had a great stay at this villa. The villa was clean, the beds were comfy, the pool was great and the views were stunning! it was approximately 20 mins walk to La Joya and 35 mins to Hotel Fuente del Sol, so was easy to get around as well.

We had a really great time in Madre Tierra. Rafa welcomed us and was really helpful for any request we had. The house is comfy, calm and with a great view, close to nice mountain paths. Totally recommended. Thanks again Rafa!

We had a fantastic weekend in Monte Naturivo! The accommodation is surrounded by beautiful nature and is the perfect place to relax. Everything was absolutely clean and very well maintained - you can see how much love is put into every detail here. We were particularly enthusiastic about the great pool, the relaxing hammam and the beautiful yoga room - ideal for switching off and feeling good. The hostess was incredibly friendly and warm, we felt welcome from the first moment. Monte Naturivo is truly a special place that we can highly recommend to everyone.

Just retuned from a 1 week stay at the Cassita! Lovely and peaceful with beautiful surroundings and plenty to do if you’re happy to drive. Our two children loved the pool too. Kila was very responsive and friendly and we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Thanks again.

We stayed here for 4 weeks (family of 3) and it was the most wonderful holiday! So peaceful and quiet, well equipped house and a lovely pool. The beds are really comfortable and the aircon in the bedrooms was brilliant. Cómpeta is a beautiful town and worth a visit. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

We had a great week at Finca el Cerro! Pleasant place and away from the city, which gave us a real feeling of vacation. The owner is very kind, thank you so much for hosting us!

I cannot rate this place high enough. It’s a slice of heaven and a place of dreams. If you want to get away from the world but be close enough to be in Malaga within 15 minutes, I don’t think you can do better. The work and effort that Juan and Ana have put into this place is outstanding. It’s secluded, it’s peaceful, it’s surrounded by beautiful vistas. It’s only 15 minutes from the outskirts of Malaga, but you feel in your own, private world. From here I visited Malaga, Ronda, Cordoba and Granada. I also spent days doing nothing at all, just laying by the pool or swimming, relaxing in peace and reading. It’s such a wonderful place. May I please say a particular thanks to Juan, who is the most charming and friendly host you can hope to meet. The pride and passion he has for the home and the area is incredible. He was an absolute pleasure. Kind hearted and patient while I practiced my terrible Spanish on him. I look forward to returning and miss being there already.

The stay at Angel's accommodation "Las Lavaderas" was excellent. The quiet and private atmosphere allowed us to recover well. A perfect place to relax. The house is equipped with everything you need. Communication with Angel worked perfectly, friendly and always prompt.

Really unique place! We have spent the majority of our vacation (three weeks in Spain) in old town Valencia, Granada, and Sevilla, with some stops in Alicante and Merida, so getting out of "city center" was our goal for this stop, and this place DELIVERED. It's up a well maintained mountain road, and there are several restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive of the location. We would definitely recommend "El Tunel" which has ample parking and an amazing menu. However, if you are staying several days, we recommend you stock up on stuff for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you don't want to hop in your car for every meal. They have a well supplied indoor kitchen and outdoor cooking options as well. The pool is not heated, so in April/May it wasn't really swimmable (for us), but I can imagine in the summer it does heat up ambiently. The chickens, duck, guienna pig and rabbit we excited to see us every morning with scraps from the prior day's meals! Zip line and trampoline are cool!

Comfortable house in a beautiful spot very private and spotlessly clean. Good base for exploring and walking. Was the wrong time of year for us to use the pool but the grounds and outside space were really nice too. Only thing would be to have information in the house about how everything worked, what there was to do in the area where to put the rubbish, house rules etc. Overall a great stay.

Walter and Sabina have a dream cabin. It's a beautiful and very peaceful place. The hosts welcomed us and were always charming. I recommend it to everyone who is looking for a little peace. We are already looking forward to repeating!

A little slice of heaven. It truly was perfection, from the moment we booked to the moment we left, we felt it was a home away from home. Bruno and Gert were the perfect hosts, we stayed in the studio near the pool, and it was fully equipped with everything we could need or want. It truly was a fantastic experience staying here and we will 100% be back. I couldn’t finish this review without a special mention to the 4 doggies, who made this stay extra special for us and made us want to spend more time in the villa to spend time with the doggies. We were looking for peace and quiet and that’s what we found! We appreciated the environmental concerns, water conservation and recycling. We were very happy with the simplicity of the house and the great restaurant recommended to us by Maria. Due to the hear we couldn’t do as much walking as we had planned but we were comfortable in the house with air-con and on the gorgeous shady terrace with hammock, loungers and table. I would love to go back in the winter and sit writing at the desk, walking the trails, and enjoying local food and wildlife!

This is a beautiful, unique, peaceful spot, with a wonderful history, and an excellent restaurant at your doorstep.

We had a fantastic vacation at Antonia’s house in Viñuela. The view and location exceeded our expectations — even better than in the photos. The house is spacious and comfortably accommodates six people. The outdoor area is generous, with a lovely veranda, outdoor kitchen and a marvelous view over valley and hills reaching into the ocean. The property is easy to access, fully fenced, and gated for added security. The ocean and hiking areas are within short range. All amenities are exactly as described. Communication with Antonio was excellent — he is a friendly and attentive host. We would highly recommend this house; it offers great value for the price.

We loved the views and peacefulness but felt safe having someone English next door. The welcome pack was amazing and appreciated as we stayed put for 3 days due to heatwave and didn't have to worry about shopping.

This is the second time we have had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful place, and once again, it did not disappoint. The views are absolutely breathtaking, just as mesmerising as we remembered. Our hosts, Bruno and Meredith, were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They struck the perfect balance, being hospitable and engaging without being intrusive. Their presence added a lovely touch to our stay, and we enjoyed some delightful chats with them, filled with wonderful stories. A car is definitely essential to reach the site and explore the surrounding area. During our stay, we visited Estapona Beach, which was simply stunning, and took a short 20-minute drive to the charming village of Gaucin. There, we enjoyed a quiet coffee at one of the quaint local coffee shops, soaking in the serene atmosphere. One of the highlights of our stay was the swimming pool. We made sure to take a dip every day, and it was pure bliss. In the evenings, we savoured wine looking across the valley.

Great casita with lovely view. Everything was present and the interior was supercosy. Great to have a little (supercold!) pool on the patio. Plants are a bit moregrown than on the pictures, but the view is still lovely.

If we could give 6 stars, we would ! This is by far one the best places we ever stayed at. The finca is amazing, well equipped and offers a breathtaking view that you never get tired of. The different terrasses are big and perfect to enjoy some shade during the hot days, and the pool is super clean. Jim and Rein were amazing hosts. They were very accommodating, friendly and reactive! They live in the other part of the finca, but offer perfect privacy while being available if needed. They gave us clear instructions from the beginning. In short, we fell in love with this place and we would gladly come back in the future !
