Holiday rentals with beach access in Little Italy, San Diego

This was just what we needed for our stay! Easy walk to the bay, and to surrounding restaurants. Quinn gave very clear instructions on where everything was.

My family and I had a fantastic stay at Tamara’s Airbnb. The property was exactly as described—beautifully decorated touches, and best of all, it included access to a private beach that felt like our own hidden getaway. We had originally planned to stay at the Gaylord Hotel but stumbled upon this listing—and we’re so glad we did. Choosing Tamara’s place turned out to be the best decision. The spacious layout, multiple comfortable beds, and well-appointed bathrooms offered a level of comfort and privacy that far exceeded what a hotel could provide. When we weren’t relaxing on the private beach, we explored the charming local town and rented electric bikes from IB Bikes, which was a perfect way to take in the area’s attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, stylish, and well-located retreat!

Pretty much perfect. Location is just stupid perfect. Walk right over to the Del Coronado, right to the beach, right to coffee. The place is perfect for a couples romantic stay. I plan on going back each year. I would suggest using their parking at the B of A right next door. Totally worth it. I really have zero bad things to say. Value A+. Easy A+ Clean A+. Safety A+++++. Lobster rolls across the street A+. Buzzed coffee around the corner A++++. I’ll be back.

Wonderful vacation and spot for 2 adults and 3 teens! Everything was in walking distance. Home was just as described. Dan was super helpful and responsive when we needed it. We would definitely stay again!

We had a lovely stay at Rob’s. The location is impossible to beat with amazing restaurants, bars and coffee shops all in walking distance. The space is small as it is a studio but it was perfect for a long weekend with myself and my husband. Communication was extremely fast and everything was smooth as can be with our hosts!

Location, location, location. This unit is very conveniently located within walking distance of everything the Village of La Jolla has to offer, from the coves and the park to the walking trails along the bluff and all the cafes, shops, eateries and bars along the way. Well appointed space, clean and comfortable; I made use of the beach towels and sunscreen provided which was appreciated. Host was responsive which is always a plus.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The unit was clean and very well stocked with necessities. The location was perfect for us and we highly valued the assigned parking space. The weather was lovely and we were able to enjoy a nice walk along the coast line to the nearby little beach town and stopped for a morning coffee and an acai bowl. Cody was super fast to respond to any questions we had. Would certainly stay again.

We are relatively new to using Airbnb properties and its refreshing to stay at a property that perfectly matched its listing description. The unit was sized just right for my wife and I, immaculately clean with everything in working order, was an easy walk down to the beach (10 minutes), freeway access was simple, and was very peaceful. John was the perfect host and responded immediately when we reached out to him. It was a very nice long weekend!

The home was well-stocked with thoughtful amenities—including beach gear—and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The location is unbeatable: a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood within a few minutes walking distance to the beach, great restaurants, coffee shops, and more. John was a friendly and responsive host who made everything easy from start to finish. Honestly could not have asked for a better host. Highly recommend for families looking for a relaxing, convenient stay in La Jolla. We’d love to come back!

I very much enjoyed my stay. The apartment was in a great area and I was able to walk to the two main events I came to town for. Lots of other good restaurants and shops nearby in walking distance as well. Camila was very helpful and responsive at all times. The apartment was very comfortable and clean and the neighborhood is very nice. Would love to stay here again!

Great location and very well kept. Beach bungalow/ cabin vibe. Walking distance to anything and everything around Ocean Beach, which is so fun and lively but still peaceful! The cliffs down the road are a bit dangerous and windy but with the right shoes, so worth the views. We didn’t realize the hot tub was shared with 2 other units on the property but we got lucky and had no trouble using it when others weren’t and barely noticed our neighbors- they were very quiet. Owners were great and responded within seconds!

Great stay, felt very safe and at home. So much to do at a walkable distance, very close to the beach, 10/10 would definitely stay again. Albert was awesome, proactive at check-in, and quick to respond to any questions we had.

Elizabeth was a great host and responded to all my messages in a timely manner. The property is in a peaceful neighborhood but close to all the activities we wanted to do. The property was also clean and had ample amount of space. I would stay here again if I was in SD with a large group! Thank you Elizabeth!

Our stay at the Blue Beach House was comfortable & quiet. The upstairs cottage was private, with a sweet covered porch and well stocked kitchen. Inside décor was creative & cozy. Colorful artwork and nice furnishings. The neighborhood was quiet and great for walking. Suzanne was available if we needed anything and very friendly. A great weekend stay. This was by far the best Airbnb experience I’ve ever had. The cottage is elegantly but comfortable decorated, linens high quality, kitchen well equipped, bathroom well designed with plenty of counter space for a small room. A heated toilet seat and bidet were appreciated! The entire property is beautifully landscaped and the little garden in back is serene. The overall design and layout are like something out of Architectural Digest. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in the area.

My first visit to San Diego and selecting Chad's place worked out great! Ocean Beach is a great neighborhood and was very walkable... so much to do right in the immediate area. Chad was very responsive, friendly and very welcoming! Highly recommend!! Already looking forward to a return trip to explore more.

Great location , if you are looking for a peaceful and quite with beach access, close to restaurants, not too far from downtown or airport, this is a great spot . Again just a reminder it is not the upscale area , more of a local experience. Felt safe and walkable to beach .

A Perfect San Diego Coastal Getaway! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Carl's beach home in the Pacific/Mission Beach area, and it was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charming beach cottage. The decor is super cute, combining cozy beach vibes with modern comforts, making it feel like a home away from home. The location couldn't be better! Just a short stroll from the beach, we enjoyed daily walks along the shore and stunning sunsets. The nearby restaurants and shops added to the convenience, making it easy to explore the local scene. Carl was an exceptional host, providing us with all the information we needed for a smooth stay. The cottage was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. If you're looking for a perfect beach getaway, I highly recommend Carl’s beach home. This was our second stay at this apartment, and it was just as wonderful as we remembered. We love being so close to the beach and within easy walking distance of Ocean Beach. For week-long visits, having a well-equipped kitchen makes it easy to cook a few meals at home. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and having access to a washer and dryer is a huge plus. We will stay here again on our next trip to San Diego.

Great place to stay to be close to the beach and boardwalk! Parking Was a challenge on the weekend but we were able to walk and find it easy.

Great location on Mission Beach. Emmy's book of local suggestions was great for finding good food in the area. Centrally located to all different San Diego attractions which was great. Loved the beach being right outside the door as well as the ability to walk all around Mission Beach. My family and I even walked to Pacific beach. Emmy was wonderful with checking in on my family. I would definitely recommend.

We had an amazing stay at Nicklas’s place in San Diego! The condo is beautifully renovated and right on the waterfront—waking up to those ocean views was such a treat. The kitchen and bathroom were fully stocked with everything we needed, making our stay super comfortable and convenient. You can tell a lot of thought has gone into making the space feel like a true home away from home. We would absolutely love to stay here again in the future. Highly recommend!
