Peaceful family house, recommended for families especially.

We recently had the most wonderful summer break staying at this lovely, peaceful cottage in Melby. From the moment we walked in the front door, we felt ourselves relax. The cottage is beautifully decorated, kitchen is super well equipped and the beds are very comfortable - easily sleeping our 2 families. Outside, we loved using the pool, snoozing in the hammock and eating on the expansive deck in front of the outdoor fireplace. The cottage is a 10-15min walk to a pretty local beach and a short drive (or bike ride) to the pretty Liseleje Beach. Lots of fantastic restaurants in the area and plenty to see and do. Christian and Pernille were brilliant hosts - easy to communicate with, always responsive and gave us great tips on what to see and do in the area. Thanks for a truly fabulous stay!

It's a very cozy house. We enjoyed our stay. The sauna can fit 2/3 people comfortably, but more than that is too tight. The location is great, it's at the same time private and also close to grocery stores, the beach, and coffee shops.

We had a great stay at this summerhouse! The pool and all the other amenities – including sauna, outdoor areas and kitchen – were really high quality and everything worked impeccably. The atmosphere and setting were perfect for a cozy and relaxed getaway with friends. The only small minus was that you had to bring gas to the grill yourself, which came as a surprise to all of us. It would be nice if it was mentioned more clearly in the description. All in all, a wonderful experience – we would love to come again!

We had a delightful stay. Kim is a very responsive and helpful host, and the house was clean and equipped with everything you might need for your stay. We were impressed by the attention to detail. It’s a quiet neighbourhood with beautiful surroundings. Would recommend having a car, but we managed it all on public transport and the handy bikes at the house. The only confusing bit was the light switches that took some finding! If you’re looking for a comfy space an hour outside of Copenhagen, this is a great place.

A beautiful home in a wonderful location. The house is full of amenities and has lots of great Scandinavian design to make a stay in this house a luxury experience. The view from the pool meant we didn’t want to leave! The house is clean and very well kept. Martin was a great host and very flexible on check in and check out times that we appreciated. An easy walk to the harbor and restaurants was an added bonus.

We are looking back on a wonderful Denmark vacation. Christiane is a great host who welcomed us in person and showed and explained everything on a tour. We felt right at home and were able to enjoy our break from everyday life in the cozy cottage and on the magnificent sun terrace in full and swim a few laps in the really large pool for refreshment. Everything was clean and furnished and decorated in a vintage style with a lot of style and attention to detail. Beds are very comfortable, we slept heavenly. There is nothing missing in the kitchen and you can take care of yourself very well. If you are looking for peace and quiet, proximity to nature and privacy, this is the place to be. The sea is just around the corner and there are really many great excursions and attractions in the vicinity. It will not be boring, there is always something to discover and we will be happy to come back...

We (couple with 8 year old daughter) spent a great week in the beautiful summer house. The house was actually even more beautiful than in the photos, very stylish with designer furniture and high-quality art on the walls, lovingly furnished and in an absolutely top location to the beautiful steep coast (with adventurous private stairs), where you can enjoy the picturesque sunset, but also great swimming. The kitchen is super equipped, with everything you need. The pool was the absolute highlight! It's not heated, but the sun does it wonderfully. The huge garden and peaceful surroundings were also very convincing. The area invites you to numerous activities, but you should definitely be mobile, because the local shopping is best to reach by bike or car. Janus is a very friendly and reliable host, communicating with him was always straightforward and prompt. Thank you for everything

We were with 4 people a week over New Year's Eve in Henrik's house and enjoyed it very much. It was very cozy in bad weather to stay in the house with a fireplace. The house was super clean and everything worked out great. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, we lacked nothing. A short walk leads to a very nice coast with wonderful sandy beach. We would like to stay in Henrik's house again at any time and can highly recommend it. In summer, the large terrace and the large garden invite you to linger. Everything is fine, thanks to Henrik.

We were only able to stay for one night in the end, but such a peaceful and relaxing trip from Copenhagen. The house has everything you need and is really comfortable and cosy. Stine was so flexible with us to accommodate our slight change in plans. Highly recommend.

Nice location close to the beach.

Susanne's place is lovely, I would highly recommend it. It's even better than the photos, is really thoughtfully decorated with some lovely touches. Everything you could need is there. A short walk from the station and to the harbour/beaches. We wouldn't hesitate to book again if we go back to Gilleleje.

The house had all the charm of a traditional Danish summer house, but with all the amenities of a modern home. The decorations were super charming and showed that the host had thoughtfully chosen each item with care. That also applies to the planning of the garden and the charming porch with a roof, which was super convenient. I highly recommend this place for families with kids or multiple generations under one room, which the home can easily accommodate.

Henrik & Peter's Bellevue house is incredible! It is located on the highest point of Kulhuse and offers total privacy, the terrace and outdoor shower are both facing a little forest. There is also a barbecue on the terrace. The rooms are big, very bright and furnished with excellent taste. There is everything you will need both in the bathroom and in the kitchen. The living room offers you plenty of different cosy spaces, with nice sofas and chairs. The two bedrooms are also exceptional, with big windows, high quality beds and very nice furniture. On top of the quality of the house, Henrik & Peter are very sweet and helpful hosts. They came to greet us for check out and were very responsive during our stay. We really enjoyed our stay with our little dog Ruby as the garden is totally fenced. Thank you for a great stay! We will be back ☺️

Another lovely stay at David's lovely summerhouse, we had been looking forward to coming back and the house and summer weather definitely did not disappoint! The cottage and location are top notch, and we are already looking forward to returning.

We spent wonderful holidays in this lovingly designed holiday home and felt very welcome and comfortable. The garden is fantastic, there are lots of different seating options, outdoor games and the kids loved the big trampoline. It was also great that there were bikes, we could use you. The location of the cottage is perfect, bakery, supermarket, beach, etc. can be reached quickly - we mostly used the bikes for this ☺️ We would come any time and preferably very soon.

This picturesque cottage is a rare beauty in a lovely seaside town. We experienced the full spectrum of Danish weather during our weeklong stay, and this home was perfect for it all. On rainy days we enjoyed hygge with the wood-burning stove and candles. The clear days were spent enjoying the sun in the gorgeous and well-maintained yard. The town is charming with great bars, restaurants, and beaches. This home is tucked away, yet nearby everything. We walked into town for fresh pastries and coffee almost daily. Malou was a gracious and communicative host. We would love the opportunity to stay here again and again.

The house inside was beautiful and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Quiet, quiet, quiet. Here you can just switch off and relax. The accommodation is fantastically located. It is equipped with everything you need. It was great that we were allowed to use all the amenities on the property. There was a lot to explore in the surrounding area. We had a very nice relaxing and restful vacation in Marie-Louise's house and can only recommend it. Thank you for the wonderful time.

A very unusual beach house. Not slick. Not fancy. Just very simple& down to earth. Peaceful & serene, comfortable. It’s Right on the cliffs above beach, with huge views and amazing air! Easy to walk down to beach. Other poster said it was dusty, etc. That was not my experience at all. This is a one in a 1000 place!

What a beautiful house in a fantastic location. Tucked away in the woods, yet with a lovely open garden where you can truly relax. Sooo quiet! The house is perfect for 4 to 5 people. Communication with Marion was excellent. We would love to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at this amazing house! The interior is so hygge and cozy, with a brand-new kitchen and bathroom, and really comfortable beds. The spacious garden and the lovely terrace were perfect for relaxing and spending time outdoors. Our child especially loved all the toys available – it made the stay even more enjoyable for our family. The location is fantastic: just a super short walk to a beautiful beach, and the area is quiet and perfect for exploring. The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We would love to come back again!
