In the old days, Hjelmerstald was a notorious and poor street, but today the street is the most photographed street in Aalborg and contains some of the most cozy houses. The sand-colored house with one of the city's old renovated gas lamps on the house wall holds plenty of coziness, nooks and crannies and stories.
