The house is in the middle of the butter eye to take advantage of the amazing hiking opportunities in Lyngen. From the house you go directly up on Storgalten, Lillegalten, Lasso mountain and several other peaks. Russelvfjellet and Stetinden are also nearby. This is the paradise for the top tour enthusiast! Dogs are also welcome and the entire grounds are fenced. You'll love my place because of the location and the outdoor area. My place is good for couples, lone travelers, families (with children), and furry friends (dogs).

The area has fantastic views of the Lyng Alps, with opportunities to see the northern lights in winter and the midnight sun in summer. There are good hiking opportunities in the immediate area. Popular mountains for randonees. From the property you can go directly up to Storhaugen. Sorbmegáisá is also nearby. Short distance to other mountains. Wood fired Sauna and grill hut. Bicycles, snowshoes. Beds are fully made.

Nord-Lenangen is located 90 kilometers from the city of Tromsø, at the northern tip of Lyngen municipality. The village has around 450 inhabitants and it's main industry includes fisheries, agriculture as well as a growing tourism industry. Our lodges are named after some of the beautiful and magnificent mountaintops that are a part of the Lyngen Alps. We have three lodges: "Rødtinden", "Lenangstinden" and "Storgalten." All of our lodges are close to the sea, with it's own boatlanding.

Idyllic cabin in the Lyngen Alps

Lyngen is one of the world's most beautiful and undisturbed Arctic regions. From this exclusive cabin you can enjoy the northern lights in the winter and the midnight sun in the summer. The cabin is by itself, with a spectacular view. You can hear and see the ocean from the terrace. You need to walk up 140 stairs to the cabin, or walk the access road. You can be a bit shocked by the steepness, but it's worth it :) You can not drive up so you have to be a bit sporty to rent this place.

Gamtunet - idyllic cabin - spectacular location

Gamtunet is a charming old log house with a top modern architectural extension including all commodities. The view is spectacular encompassing the Lyngen landscape from the view to the Ulsfjord to the alpine peaks of Trollvasstind, Sofiatind and the Jiehkkevárri massif. We still have lots of snow in the mountains so it looks like skiing will be good all through May at least.
