Holiday rentals with lake access in Leisure Island

Lovely place to stay at & the location was great to explore Knysna.

Watching the tide come in….watching it go out….so relaxing. Super weekend with baby, kids, grandparents and dog. Playing in the lagoon all day and enjoying the quiet splashes of the fish in the evenings. Thanks again Charles and Ryk

We quickly settled in at Paradise. The house has everything one needs, felt peaceful and safe. Very close to the lagoon and also mosaic/slow roast for morning coffee walks. Hosts warm and friendly.

We had a great time at Kim's place, the view from the deck alone was worth every cent. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and extremely spacious, coming and going was a breeze. thanks to the anti-bug mesh on the bedroom windows we could keep them open and have a constant supply of fresh and cool air which made the hot summer nights quite bearable (it's the little things that count). overall a lovely stay with zero issues. Big thanks to Vincent for giving us the tour :)

Our principle contact was Jonathan who couldn’t have done more for us, a superb host who lives nearby. The property is well equipped throughout and located in a safe residential area just 200m from the estuary. We spent 24 wonderful days there. One point is that internal access to the upstairs is by a rather narrow spiral staircase which might not suit all ie elderly but for others ie children a point of excitement. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending both the property and hosts as a wonderful home to relax and unwind in. We’ve only found one other to match!

Morne is a super host. The house is way more beautiful and spacious in real life. It was a really magical getaway for my family. The street lights reflecting on the water of the lake at night was one of the picturesque highlights for me. We would definitely like to stay there again in the very near future. Thank you Morné.

Our party consisted of 6 adults from one family who travelled from Western Australia, Johannesburg, Cape Town and George.. We wanted a peaceful holiday catching up with each others news. The beach house was perfect. There was only one very small criticism and that was the lack of a washing machine but we did know that when we booked. An efficient laundry in the village satisfied our need. Thank you Richard.

It was great to arrive at a place where details like milk, tea, coffee, drinking water and enough toilet paper is prepared. Heinrich is very friendly and most accommodating. He responded very well to personal preferences. Definitely a great space if you have many people to cater for! The view is awesome and the direct access to the estuary with canoe usage is a bonus! He will get to see me again!

I really don’t know where to start, Diane is such an amazing host. The place is gorgeous and she communicates exceptionally well. It’s not just an Airbnb it’s a home away from home. My parents can’t wait to visit Diane’s place again. Let me also mention that she allowed them to checkout a bit later due to them having a late flight, that on its own shows just how much she cares about people. Rating 5 stars isn’t enough I want to give her a 100 stars!!

We stayed in one of Tine’s luxury glamping caravans as the room on AirBnB got double booked. Tine solved the matter very professionally and upon arrival she was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for our short but beautiful stay!

Colette's Airbnb was divine! The place is truly breathtaking, the pictures are accurate and the space is thoughtfully put together with everything you could possibly need. She is highly responsive checking in with you to see if there is anything you need to elevate your experience. The Airbnb is nestled in a peaceful nature reserve overlooking the Knysna estuary. It is located out of the hustle and bustle of town, with Knysna's hotspots just a stone throw away for your convenience. Colette went above and beyond host duties, offering trips to town when she was heading out, showing me lovely places to visit and sending exclusive restaurant offers of the day! She is a joy, and I would recommend her place to anyone looking to relax, unplug and reset. Colette's Lovely Airbnb is the only choice to make. I look forward to booking it in the summer and any other time I happen to be in Knysna.

We had a wonderful stay and felt very comfortable. The surroundings are fantastically beautiful and the lagoon is great for swimming for small children. On the terrace we grilled and made ourselves comfortable. We would come back anytime!

Beautifully located within the Thesen Island precinct with access to its facilities this unit is a penthouse with convenient access from your parking directly to the unit. Well maintained and kept well by Douglas who communicates clearly and is always close by if you need additional support.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in a very pleasant apartment in a beautiful location. We would highly recommend staying at No 41 Laguna Grove.

I’ve stayed in Thesen island many times but the helpfulness and friendliness makes the stay special. Wonderful place, well equipped with everything you could need and some.

Allison was super friendly , gave us great recommendations for activities and kid friendly places. Randomly checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable throughout our stay.

This bungalow transported us to our childhood holidays. As a family with 2 kids, we were so comfy and just loved this spot. Comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. Outdoor taps to wash off all the sand. Cute kitchen with everything you need, and a cozy lounge for card games. Lovely deck with bright red chairs that we assume resemble the colour of the Loerie's wings, that fly past everyday. Quick and easy to walk to the beach and the kids loved riding their bikes safely to the shop for ice creams. Endless activities, walking, biking, fishing, hiking, swimming, paddling. Honestly PARADISE on earth. The lagoon is beautiful but we loved the walk over to the sea against that huge mountain where the otter trail ends. The turquoise blue ocean was incredible. We cannot wait to come back to our new favourite place!

Great spot. Kids loved the surroundings and the Ratex gym was a bonus for them too.

Staying in this tiny house was like stepping into a fairytale! The space is beautifully designed, cozy, and full of charming details that made our stay unforgettable. We love staying at Paula's place, it is a divine cottage complete with everything one needs. Set in a beautiful garden, which our border collies just love. We thoroughly enjoy our holidays at Paula's place and will definitely be back again.
