Wivenhoe flat - with parking - near shops

Great base for working, visiting the area or relatives. Short walk to Essex University, 3 miles to Colchester and local villages. A practical first floor flat in Wivenhoe with double bedroom, lounge, sofa bed, bathroom and kitchen. Plenty of parking behind the flat, TV and unlimited broadband. A brilliant shop opposite, a friendly pub next door and bus stop outside with lots of other pubs and shops nearby. Nice walk down to the River Colne and have a drink or meal at the Rose & Crown.

Shepard’s Hut in Small Orchard

This is a stand alone unit totally self contained with shower and toilet. Unlike garden rooms this unit has wheels and a tow bar. The (should I say) Shepherdess Hut as it was used by a small holder during lambing to be close to her flock. Not suitable for long stays. More details below in The Space. Our small orchard has 2 x cherry, plum, 3 x pear, 2 x apple, greengage, apricot, mulberry, medlar and olive. We also have two 2 x raspberry, loganberry, Japanese wine berry and our own hops

The Old Stables

On the Suffolk Essex border surrounded by fields, trees, and plenty of wildlife lies our old late 18th century stable building. Just 5 minutes off the A12 and you are in a different world. We live in the thatched Farm Cottage, the oldest part dating back to the 15th century and the stable is situated at the end of the drive. Excellent location for cycling (on the National Cycle Route 1), or visiting Jimmys Farm just 4.9 miles up the road. Walking is a must or just relax and unwind!

Self Contained Studio in Wivenhoe

Tuck away next to the Wivenhoe woods (upper Wivenhoe), this lovely self-contained studio flat provides comfortable accommodation throughout. The studio is on a cul-de-sac, with its own entrance. It is just a short walk to the University of Essex via Wivenhoe Public pathway. The the train station is also only 15 minute walk away through the Wivenhoe trail. Ideal for 1-2 guests, but a baby or small chid is welcome (providing that you bring your own travel cot & bedding with you).

The Studio is modern self-contained bed and breakfast suite in a village location 5 minutes off the A12 road 7 miles SW of Ipswich on the Suffolk/Essex borders. Ideal for an short stay or a longer visit to explore the beautiful countryside. A spacious Bed-sitting room with double bed, well equipped shower room, kitchenette. Own front door access with parking adjacent. Food for a light self- catering breakfast. A well behaved dog is welcome, by prior arrangement.

Idyllic house and gardens on estuary

A beautiful large farmhouse, dating from approximately 1600 and listed Grade II, in acres of idyllic gardens and overlooking a mile-wide river estuary. There is direct access from the bottom of the garden onto the ‘sea wall’ along the river, for walks and wonderful birdwatching. There is a duckpond (fenced) by the house and chickens (collect the eggs), and a large summerhouse with veranda in the garden, as well as a paddock of alpacas!

Located in a quiet village on the Essex/Suffolk border, this converted rustic barn is a stylish family friendly bolthole. Within easy reach of the picturesque Stour valley, the barn is perfect for family stays in need of space and tranquil countryside adventures. Restaurants, pubs, shops, beautiful walks and the river are all moments away. The private annexe is attached to our house with its own entrance and superb views of St Mary's Church.
