House holiday rentals in Lauwersmeer

We were there in June, four of us – despite the rain and colder temperatures, we were able to enjoy our stay thanks to the sauna and the heated pool, which was our highlight! We were very warmly welcomed, the accommodation is really great – we can only recommend it and will definitely come back. The adjacent forest is great for walking and Groningen and Leeuwarden are each just under 30 minutes away by car.

We had a wonderful stay. Everything was as described and Janna and Christof took great care of us. Would happily do it again!

The dune house is a wonderful place to spend a relaxing time on Ameland. Located directly on the dunes, you can experience the nature of the island in all its facets. The house is tastefully decorated and has everything you need for a relaxed stay. Geertje is a great host and communication with her was very pleasant. We will be happy to come back and can absolutely recommend a stay dune house!

We had a very nice stay as a family in the very spacious house. The large living room was particularly nice, the kitchen offers everything you need. Jaap was very helpful, gave us tips and was very flexible with a late check-out. The area is wonderfully quiet and idyllic.

We enjoyed the time very much and did many small bike rides. The accommodation is beautiful, quiet and very idyllically located. However, we would not stay in the property again with 5 adults. The loft bed is more suitable for children and unfortunately we were not able to sleep so well, as there was no air coming up under the roof at night (despite the open window) and it became very warm and stuffy. With children, you can definitely recommend the accommodation! :)

Wonderful accommodation to relax and unwind. No neighbors or surroundings and vice versa. Despite that, the supermarkets are a 2-minute drive away so the location is very nice! Host is super helpful and can be reached immediately if anything comes up. We would definitely come back here!

With a group of friends of 5 people, we stayed three nights in this AirBnB on a small-scale park. There were few other guests in the park, so we could enjoy the nice jacuzzi and garden. Unfortunately, for the (unheated) pool, the temperature outside was just a bit too cold. Inside is a lot of space, the cottage is much larger in terms of seating space than for 5-6 people. The beds (a total of 6 sleeping places) were excellent. With two refrigerators, six burners (gas stove) and a spacious dishwasher, the kitchen was also great, although unfortunately there was no towel or tea towel available to dry the hands and small dishes. It is also nice that there are two toilets (one of which is separate), but the door to the bathroom with toilet cannot be locked and does not close completely. Arrival is fine, with some information from the host in advance via the app and on site instructions to get to the right cottage at the small bungalow park. All in all a great stay in a nice area!

Nice cottage, very clean and complete. Lots to do in the area, well worth it. Host was very helpful and quick to respond if we had a question.

What an excellent house to stay. Very great surroundings, quiet and beautiful stargazing at nights. Close enough for travelling around Friesland and/or visiting the isles of Ameland/Schiermonnikoog. The house itself has all features you need. Great kitchen, very good beds and big badroom. Highly recommended for a stay.

The four of us had a wonderful weekend here. The house is located in the quiet De Monnik Park and is equipped with every comfort. Very harmonious in color, bright and comfortable with a separate toilet and new bathroom, the beds are good and the kitchen is nice and functional. All around satisfied, we would like to come back!

Only one night, but full of impressions. Rysum welcomed us with its quiet beauty, and the "Alte Bäckerei" was a very special place to arrive and feel good. Furnished with a lot of love and a lot of taste, the listed house radiates a warm, honest atmosphere - you can feel its history. And for me as a person trained in the craft, I particularly liked the artistic master's certificate of the former resident, when I compare it with my dry journeyman's certificate (but also almost 100 years later). Thank you for this little break in a great place and a great village.

Many thanks to Bianca, and her husband, for providing us with the incredibly exciting house for a long weekend. Despite the bad weather, we had a wonderful time at her house and on the great grounds. Both inside and outside, it is decorated with so much attention to detail! Highly recommended, not only because of her sugar-sweet, little kittens that we were allowed to cuddle and play with. 😀

Everything was great! The house is unique, the location wonderful. Moddergat is truly a special place. Having the mudflats right on your doorstep is great!

beautiful historic house in the heart of downtown, finely and tastefully furnished, everything as described, excellent cleanliness and excellent check-in experience. The surroundings are very tidy and quiet, a true oasis of tranquility. Excellent communication with the host, really recommended

We enjoyed our stay and had a fantastic time in Midwolde. It was easy to start our bike tours from here. The sauna and all other amenities were outstanding! A very tasteful intererior design. The beds were so comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay!

Great place, very clean and cozy, you felt right at home in the chalet. The location was a bit secluded and you had to drive longer for things to do/shopping because there was not much going on there. Unfortunately, prices are only a little too expensive for all the possibilities. Overall, we still had a great few days together & thank you Nicole for the uncomplicated conversation. ☀️❤️

A beautiful, cozy house right on the canal, which was furnished with a lot of attention to detail and has everything you need. Communication was easy, friendly and fast. Even before arrival, Connie provided us with all the important information. Despite the bad weather, we (8 people) had enough space in the house. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely come again!

We were there with three couples and three dogs. And a toddler. It was wonderfully beautiful. Absolutely easy to arrive. The house is furnished with love. You have everything your heart desires. Lucy is a super super nice hostess. She responds very quickly and responds to requests. Lucy is a great host with a beautiful place. We will be happy to come back.

We had a great week at Geert's place. The location is great for bike tours in the area. In general, this area is definitely worth a trip. The accommodation is fantastically beautiful on a small lake. Everything is clean and well maintained. Very stylishly furnished and super clean. Geert is very friendly and helpful. All in all, a very successful holiday. Thank you. We'll be back...

The house is simply magnificent and quiet with its location directly on the canal! You can watch ships all day or get active yourself. We had our bikes with us and took nice trips directly on the canal. A trip by kayak, which is available there, in the direction of Wanswerd is also highly recommended. The house is very clean and well maintained. Everything you need is available in the kitchen. Clear recommendation!

We had a short vacation with two children. The accommodation has enough space for a family of 4. The rooms were all clean. You have everything you need. And we had felt like at home. In the garden there is a nice sauna and a large hot tub. The sauna is worth the money in our opinion. And we were allowed to enjoy the hot tub to the fullest with the wood provided to us free of charge. The surroundings and a very nice playground also leave nothing to be desired. I'm sure we'll be back. Thank you and all the best!

We felt very comfortable! Particularly positive to highlight: Hotze got us bicycles and brought them to the accommodation as well as picked them up again! Also a small attention (juice, snacks, chocolate) on arrival made us feel immediately comfortable! Great view from the terrace, everything very clean! We will be happy to come back!

We were in this beautiful house for an extended weekend. Everything is as shown in the photos and as described. The house is top equipped, nothing is missing. The location is exceptional...very nice directly on the water with its own jetty. From there you can make many excursions, cycling, etc. Communication with the hosts was very friendly and with lots of helpful information. We say thank you for the wonderful stay and maybe until next time.

We had a very pleasant stay! The communication beforehand went smoothly via Paula, who had arranged everything well. We were received kindly and felt immediately welcome. The house is completely separate and offers a lot of privacy – ideal for a relaxing stay. Very nice people, definitely recommended! Also quick response if you have a comment or remark. It was also a bit of a stay at a fantastic horse stable/management. But you don't have to worry about it if you don't want to deal with it.
