Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Lassen County

Simply put, this place is a slice of heaven on earth! The only thing we regret is only booking it for 3 nights! 😂 It is clear from the moment you walk in that so much thought and care has been put into making sure all who stay there feel like they are at home. It has everything you could possible think of and then some. Between the game room, board games, books, huge living room for movie nights, several outdoor gathering places, fire pit for s'mores and so much more - it is such a cozy, inviting, relaxing, tranquil space that we rarely left the house. Thank you Dorinda and family for offering this lovely home for all to experience, it is truly a treasured space that we will not soon forget! We would stay there again in a heartbeat!

My 4 friends and I stayed at Ernie's retreat for our Memorial Day weekend trip to Lassen and Lake Almanor. The photos don't do it justice--this place is gorgeous, and huge! We had plenty of space to relax, cook, and play games. There are clear instructions with how to use the propane fire pit outside, which we used to make s'mores. There is a roaring river right outside that makes you feel like you're far away in the wilderness. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked and the TVs all worked as well. Lake Almanor is a short walk or drive away, and we rented kayaks to explore the lake. Most importantly, Ernie is a stand-out host who is kind, proactive, and communicative. Thanks, Ernie!

What a wonderful and restful stay at Eva and Greg’s Almanor House! A friend and I wanted a girls' getaway to escape the 100+ degrees heat in the Butte County valley floor. We wanted to be close to Lake Almanor but away from the Labor Day crowds. This place was perfect in that we were minutes from a wonderful Pizza place, and other restaurants in Westwood and only 12 minutes from Lake Almanor for boating, hiking, picnicking, and lake-view restaurants. We enjoyed the beautifully decorated cottage with super plush couch, comfy beds, and fully stocked kitchen and two bathrooms. We ate our meals both in a breakfast nook and outside by the fire pit and we enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of exploring. The neighborhood was very quiet and we can see the stars at night. Eva and Greg were very responsive with our every question before the stay and were available by email/text. Everything from toiletries, towels, fresh linens, very nice cooking instruments were provided in this cottage. Eva and Greg thought of everything to make our stay incredibly comfortable. We definitely will return again!

Great location and home was as depicted in the listing. Fun place for the family with the cornhole set up and board games for night time.

WOW! We had a great time at Hannah's river house. Location, location, location. The "back yard" is an absolutely GORGEOUS river with a lovely deep pool suitable for swimming. We spent two days hanging out back there relaxing and it was heaven. As for the house itself, Everything was very clean, neat and in good repair. We used the washer and dryer several times and they worked perfectly. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. And there were plenty of other amenities provided such as beach towels, sun umbrella, and lawn chairs to use down by the water. We had terrific communication with Hannah. She is friendly and quick to respond to any questions. We're already planning a return trip to stay at this house!

My family stayed the weekend at Rachel’s place. It was perfect. Quiet mountain setting with a stream running through the property.Lots for kids to do. Well equipped house. Will stay again.

What a beautiful home and location! Katie was very helpful and we loved our peaceful stay

The place was great, even bigger than it looks in the listing. The upstairs had the kitchen and primary bedroom plus bathroom and sitting area. The downstairs had the game room, 2 more bedrooms, and another sitting area. The game room was really large, it was a finished 2 car garage, so had a full-sized pool table and a full-sized ping pong table as well as TV and some other games--not the mini versions that you get sometimes. Everything was really clean and plenty of bedding for the 5 beds we used. The location was very central, about 15 minutes to golf and boating at the lake, and under an hour to Lassen Volcanic National Park. I thought it was a great place to stay to visit both the lake and the park.

This is a wonderful cabin in a peaceful setting. Awesome outdoor space with a huge yard, hot tub and lawn games. Well appointed setup with comfortable beds. Coffee and waffles a nice touch. Communication was excellent and granting us a late checkout on the day our son was headed to his first overnight camp was going above and beyond.

Ben & Nicole have a lovely cabin that’s been fully renovated with modern touches in a quiet woodsy neighborhood not far from downtown Graeagle. Although we didn’t get to fully enjoy the space and all its amenities due to the circumstances for which we were traveling, I’d absolutely love to stay again. It was clean and really was beyond my expectations. Thank you & I hope to have another chance to stay again.

Beautiful house and location. Kitchen was best stocked we’ve stayed in. Furniture was comfortable and plenty of room for everyone. Very happy and would definitely stay again.

I can't say enough about this property or Elizabeth and John. The space is breathtakingly beautiful and such an incredible find. They went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. We can't wait to come back! MUCH LOVE!

We had a lovely stay here as our home base for adventures in the area and a few visits to Lassen National Park. The location is perfect to have as a place to recharge and relax in-between adventures. The view from the yard is breathtaking. The beds were cozy, the living room set up with a TV for movies, and a well stocked kitchen. We opted for this place in particular because it had an impressive two full bathrooms which is a must for when we travel. If we ever find our way back to Chester, we'd totally stay here again.

This place was amazing and the hosts Greg and Alaine were responsive throughout the entire process and even left us a bottle of wine to enjoy. They made this space to be very cozy and homelike, we were all very happy! The patio and backyard we loved, one recommendation that would elevate the space would be an outdoor umbrella on the patio as the sun was very strong, but other than that we love this space and whenever we are in this area again would love to stay here!
