Waterfront holiday rentals in Lake Wakatipu

Really beautiful spot just a few steps away from the main center of restaurants and shops. Great angle to view the lake and mountains — the owners suite on the second floor had a nice view, and then the third floor had a stunning view (which was nice with the open concept between living/dining room). The sauna was a fun touch too! We juuust barely managed to fit our 2 cars into the garage, but might not be doable if your cars are on the larger side.

The accommodation is worth for the value, with beautiful view, quiet and convenient location. Rooms are very clean. Very happy with the experience, highly recommend!

Good accommodation in a good location for our family of 5. Walking distance / short drive to town and good location for being able to get to the ski slopes. Ged was always helpful and responsive. We had a great holiday.

great place to stay and fantastic view

All 4 of us were beyond blown away by this place. Fitted our needs and then some. Actually spent more time cooking and dining at home than expected because of the kitchen, bbq and incredible views of the lake. The only negative we could come up with was that we weren’t able to overstay our welcome and squat here forever. It was the consensus that we will book this apartment should we return to NZ next year.

The place is amazing with stunning view and great interior design. The neighborhood is quiet but convenient at the same time. The hosts are responsive and helpful. Definitely a good place to stay!

It was great to stay at a place that was so easily accessible to the center of Queenstown, with the shopping and restaurants so close. The beautiful view of the lake right across the street was an added bonus.

Travelling with family of 6 plus grandparents. Was a great stay and 5-10 mins from airport and 5-10mins from town depending on traffic. The layout was good for us as we could stay upstairs while the grandparents had the self contained unit downstairs. The main living room was great and had a big window that captured the views amazingly. The outside had a nice little outside space with table and chairs and great on the couple of sunny days. The hottub was good on our ski days and overlooked the water which was nice. The property was clean and functional and had the basics. The bedrooms were on the smaller side but was fine for that style and time of building. One thing to keep in mind is that the driveway is a little harder to get down coming from the south if you have a long wheel base. This is due to the orientation of the hairpin corner. It sometimes hard to get out from during busy times if heading south as you cannot clearly see around the corner and can be dangerous.

Beautiful stay with great views. My family and I really enjoyed the stay and really appreciated all the details and thought that went into designing the place. In particular, we really liked the fact there were hangers and space to put our luggage and clothes. Convenient ports to charge our devices and the place was absolutely clean and stunning. Would definitely come back to stay again in the future.

We had an amazing stay! The lake view from our place was absolutely stunning. The location was super convenient—so close to the airport and major supermarkets like Pack’n Save. Check-in and check-out were the easiest we’ve ever experienced. The interior was beautifully designed and made our stay feel extra special. We spent three nights here during my dad’s 60th birthday trip, and my parents loved it so much that we’re already talking about coming back. Everything was spectacular!

we had an excellent stay at the Bay House. everything is as pictured— beautiful furnishings, spacious, super clean, uncluttered. the location also cannot be beat with the lake just across the road and an easy walk into town. there was plenty of room for the three of us, the kitchen was well equipped and the washer/dryer came in handy after going on rainy/muddy hikes. it was rainy a few days during our visit to Queenstown but we did not mind spending time indoors at this home playing board games and reading. highly highly recommend!

This is a truly beautiful home and now our second stay! We love the views, location, the jet boats passing through and all the wildlife the natural environment provides. We prefer to commute to town on the water taxi to avoid the busy traffic. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home.

I had a great time with my family at this Air bnb, it had amazing views, the house was clutter free and very clean, felt just like being at my home. Kids loved the bunk beds 😊

Picture perfect view of the lake and mountains. Quiet restful setting. Well equipped kitchen and good functional appliances. Easy walk to a tramping tracks. Nice shower and fabulous tank water, no chlorine or fluoride The only reason we wouldn't come back is the low ceiling height for my 6ft 2" husband who had to lower himself every time he used the stairs. Both bedrooms are upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs. The house rattled in the strong winds so ear plugs are a good idea if staying in the second bedroom. I highly recommend this place, but do your shopping enroute as the local supplies are limited.

We recently stayed at Emma's place for 4 nights, and it was a fantastic experience for our family of five. The home was clean, modern, and stylish, which made our stay very enjoyable. The location was great, offering easy access to Coronet Peak for our ski activities, while also just a short 10-minute drive to the town centre. Emma was a great host, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommended!

Julia’s place offers one of the best bang-for-your-buck views in Queenstown! With two separate bedrooms, it was more than spacious for us as a couple. The living area has a gas heater that warms the space quickly, plus finned heaters in each room kept us cozy during chilly nights. The kitchen comes thoroughly equipped with 4 gas powered stoves, electric kettle, microwave oven and nespresso machine. There's also a washing machine and clothes rack to dry your clothes! The hot tub was a highlight — perfect for a solo soak under the stars, with consistently warm water. The location is super convenient: just 10 minutes from the airport and around 15 minutes to the CBD. Plus, major supermarkets like New World, Woolworths, and Kmart are close by. Highly recommended for a comfortable and well-located stay!

The place is self-sufficient and offers a gorgeous view of Lake Wakatipu. It was perfect for our family with a toddler—fully equipped with all the necessary amenities. Very private, clean, and in a great location. Being close to the airport, we occasionally spotted airplanes, which was an absolute hit with our toddler! Highly recommend

The studio was in a great location. It was easy to find, clean and tidy. Will definitely stay if im in Queenstown again.
