Elsie is a very pretty cottage, with a peaceful away-from-it-all feel. Immaculately clean…extremely comfortable. Sitting on the deck in the late afternoon sun, with a G&T in hand was a most pleasant way to finish a day of sight seeing. Also communication with Discover Daylesford was pleasant and easy, especially after I left something behind! Definitely recommend.

This place is an absolute gem. Right in the beautiful forest, filled with wildlife, privacy & an overall great experience. From the moment you arrive you feel calm & at home. The accommodation was great & homely with the gas fire heater which was a nice touch during the cold periods there. Sassafras had great restaurants etc, plus the local people are so kind & inviting to tourists, I've never been to a town where everyone is so pleasant & happy! Not to mention the hosts of this airbnb are incredibly kind, generous with their welcome packs & communication was perfect! It was also a pleasant treat to be greeted by kookaburras, Rosella's & parrots each morning on the balcony! I highly recommend this airbnb & location!

The stay at Jessica's was very relaxing and perfect for a quiet weekend getaway. The bakehouse down the road is sensational and recommend the forest walking tracks nearby. We look forward to coming back again. Brett & Brooke

Susan's place was exactly what we were looking for for a weekend getaway from Melbourne. It's close enough for an easy drive, lovely scenery, and a very comfortable place to stay. Lancefield was the closest town which had all of the the food and restaurant options we could use. The bed was fantastic, and there were extra blankets, towels, and enough cutlery and crockery for a couple of people on a weekend away. We had tea, coffee, and very kindly some fruit and biscuits for us on arrival which made it feel right at home. The property is listed as pet friendly, and it's so well organised for the pup that we had everything at hand that we needed including towels to keep her dry when it was raining outside. The hot tub was great, and although the weather wasn't fantastic, it was lovely to spend the evening in. I could go on, but if you're reading this, and need a short stay away in the country this is the place to be.

We had a great time at the stay. The place itself was cosy and beautiful. Justin was a very responsive host and gave us clear instructions on everything.

We had the most amazing time there, and Marina and Malcolm have honestly been the best hosts we’ve ever had through Airbnb. They were incredibly kind, thoughtful, and helpful from start to finish. The cottage was absolutely immaculate—spotless, cozy, and perfectly prepared for our stay. The location is stunning, surrounded by peaceful nature, with breathtaking views, birds, and even kangaroos! We especially loved spending time by the fire pit and relaxing with our dogs in such a serene and magical environment. To top it all off, Marina and Malcolm went above and beyond by baking us fresh bread and leaving us a variety of delicious treats to enjoy. It was such a warm and generous gesture that made us feel truly special. If we could rate this stay 100 stars, we absolutely would. Thank you again for an unforgettable weekend—we can’t wait to come back!

Rustic, charming, intimate cabin nestled on a hobby farm made me feel down to earth again. Roaring fire, home-made cookies and easygoing owners welcomed us after exploring the very many dog-friendly trails and gardens in the area. Big thank you, just what we needed.

We had a fantastic stay at Mt Madison over the weekend! Sharnie was a great host—very prompt and easy to communicate with. The place was amazing: clean, beautifully set up, and incredibly comfortable. We had one of the best sleeps we’ve had in a long time. Even our chocolate poodle, Lily, felt right at home and slept soundly in her own little bed we brought along. Highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a relaxing and pet-friendly getaway

I really enjoyed my stay and really appreciated the quiet serenity and privacy offered at Botanica Retreat. The gardens are beautiful offering a very peaceful setting and was exactly what I needed for my break. It’s very close to the village, close to walking paths and has everything you need. It’s very homey, beautifully appointed furniture, linens, decor etc, and Karen offers some really nice touches to make it feel like home. Will definitely be back!

This place is fantastic. Very peaceful set in a beautiful part of Broadford only 5 min drive into town. Plenty of heating and cooling in the cottage. Upon arrival Janis had left me fresh bread, milk and eggs. Would highly recommend.

Every single detail was thought of at Amanda’s place. The fireplace and a pot of tea were both hot and waiting for my arrival. It instantly felt like a huge warm relaxing hug. Amanda has the most beauty energy and made sure I was cared for whenever I needed her throughout the trip. Waking up to the sunrise and that view was magical and not to mention the outdoor bath and shower. Plenty of hikes around the area or just spend the time star gazing and reconnecting with yourself of a partner. I really hope to get back as this was an incredible experience and I feel so rejuvenated. Thank you Amanda

This is a simple and clean place to stay in the caravan park. It had a bunk bed which my friends kid loved. Check in was a bit hard because we got in late. Would recommend if you need a spot to crash :)

Todd was a fantastic host, responded quickly and helpfully to the requests we had. We really enjoyed our stay. Nice big tv for watching movies, and great restaurant and bar a very short walk away at the Trawool Estate. Staff there were lovely too. Would definitely recommend.

This place is "next level". My wife and I searched for a place to get away together to celebrate my birthday. Thankfully, our first choice fell through! From the moment we arrived, it just felt cosy and warm. We explored as far up as Marysville, and what an awesome place to return to. Kate and Michael were so accommodating! Could not fault their hospitality and attention to detail. We will be back! We will be recommending 'the eleventh Oak' to absolutely everyone! Look forward to revisiting in the not to distant future! The log cabin, surroundings and views were amazing. Both rooms comfortably appointed and the kitchen and dining area well laid out and functional. There is a steep gravel driveway leading up to the carport, so if you have a city car, be careful when driving up, especially if it is raining. There’s some steep stairs up to the cabin, but not too much of an issue. The cabin itself is very comfortable and with the ducted heating and fireplace in the lounge room it’s very cozy. The rooms have their own air conditioning to warm things up as well. The views are absolutely stunning especially in the morning. Coffee on the enclosed veranda with those views are definitely worth it. It is a bit of a drive up and down the mountain to get to places, but there are also very nice places close by to get food and breakfast in the morning. There’s a botanical garden nearby in Olinda which is a must see.
