It can be reached by public transport: buses C30 C31 C32 departing approximately every hour from the Como San Giovanni railway station, Como Lago Ferrovie Nord or from Piazza Matteotti towards Como-Bellagio, take about 8 minutes to reach the Blevio stop - Decorations Savio, about 100 m away from the house. A pleasant alternative to traditional public transport may be the use of Lake Como navigation boats, departing from Piazza Cavour in the direction of Torno, from where walking for about 15 minutes you will reach the destination. I ALLOW ME TO STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE SMALLEST AND CHEAPEST CAR, TO MOVE INDEPENDENTLY, AS IN OUR AREA PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TAXIS ARE NOT COFORTABLE Villa Pasta The villa was built in the early XIX cen- tury and was bought in 1830 by the famous opera singer Giuditta Pasta hosting space for its several guests. In the park the fol lowing built: the studio painting of Clelia, Giuditta's daughter, who attended the Brera Academy in Milan; the cafe-house, a small cave to cool in the summer; the wooden theater where Giuditta practised singing. Captain Wilhelm Locke, grandson of the famous philosopher, drowned in front of his wife and other guests in the lake area in front of the villa. Later his daughter erected a gravestone in his memory. In the small ceme- tery of Blevio it is possible to visit the grave of Giuditta Pasta who died in 1865.

The villa was beautiful and clean, Marco was super nice and available for everything we needed. We were two couples of friends, just notice that one bedroom is actually in the living room so there is not much privacy for the couple staying in the living room. Other than that everything was great!

Beautiful 3 floors house located in a beautiful location at the end of the magic Valle Calanca. There are 2 fireplaces (one indoor + one outdoor) and a BBQ as part of a nice garden. Peaceful environment, one can only listen to the flow of the river and the singing birds. Nice view on four waterfalls falling from a big mountain.

The Baita dell'Est is much more than just a place to stay – it is a place full of peace, magic and loving details. The cottage is fantastically located, stylishly furnished and offers a real experience with the whirlpool and the view. We came for the 5th anniversary - and got much more than just a nice place to stay. We have collected memories that will remain. What made this stay so special was Nicola. His cordiality, reliability and tips complemented everything perfectly. You can tell right away: there's a real heart in it. We can especially recommend a breakfast at the Pasticceria Mastai in Chiavenna - heavenly! The surroundings also invite you to explore - nature, small alleys, good food. Spending two days in amazing studio in a really old house was an amazing experience. Studio is made from old wood with vintage refurbished furniture and well equiped. In the basement there is a self-service cafetria and a shop with their home made products. They make outstanding cheese from milk from high alpine pastures. I highly recommend!

Super cute place. We were almost the only people in the village and enjoyed the hut a lot. The surroundings offer nice walks and hikes and even though we were not so lucky with the weather we loved watching the clouds and fogs from the cozy inside and also went one some smaller walks. Would love to come again and also do some of the hikes. Jennie is also super kind and very helpful!

We were completely satisfied. Communication with Lory was very pleasant and friendly. In the apartment we particularly liked the beautiful bedroom and the very well equipped kitchen. Parking directly at the house, in a few minutes walk on a beautiful path on the Mera to the nearby old town of Chiavenna , in appropriate weather views of the mountains....fantastic.
