Holiday rentals in Lago di Corbara

We loved our stay in Sara's rustic farmhouse cottage with its glorious views across the valley, little hill towns on the other side and a beautiful scenic drive across to Orvieto on one side (about 1 hour) and Todi on the other. The pool was heavenly. We only had swimming weather for the first week but we were in every day. When the mornings were cold, I also enjoyed sitting by the pool in the morning sun, reading and drinking my coffee. The garden is also beautiful and very quiet. It was so peaceful here - and what a dream to have the pool to ourselves. Sara lives in the other half of the house with Simone, her partner, and Eugene, the dog - but we never saw them (they have their own entrance) except when they were cleaning the pool. The house is full of art and ceramics, some of which are Sara's own, and we even had lunch in Todi at Simone's restaurant. Yes, the road is rough, but so are all roads in Umbria. We have a mini and the road was not a problem.

We had the absolute pleasure of spending three unforgettable days at Paolo and Monica’s 800-year-old farmhouse — and it was hands down the best Airbnb experience we’ve ever had. The home itself is stunning: full of history, character, and comfort, with every amenity thoughtfully provided. Each morning, Paolo and Monica prepared a beautiful, fresh breakfast spread complete with homemade cakes and warm, delicious options that started our days off with so much care and joy. The hospitality was truly beyond compare — Paolo and Monica are salt-of-the-earth people with hearts of gold. One of the highlights of our stay was visiting with the many animals they lovingly care for. From eagles and owls to donkeys, horses, peacocks, ducks, and sheep — it felt like something out of a storybook. Monica’s passion for rescuing and training animals is inspiring, and added such a special, personal touch to the experience. Thier home is filled with beauty, warmth, and heart. Our stay at La Casa dell Abate was truly wonderful and memorable and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys beauty and comfort off the beaten path. From the moment we arrived, Allesio was welcoming, friendly, showed us around the home and offered tips on what to do. He will also offer you the opportunity for a pasta class or gourmet dinner which is prepared by their friend Francesco, in the private garden/outdoor kitchen. We really enjoyed this experience. Their home is beautifully decorated yet maintains the charm of the 16th century in which the village was built. We slept great in the peaceful surroundings and the comfortable beds with nice linens. We had a truly wonderful stay at this charming countryside retreat in Italy. The accommodation was clean, cozy, and full of character, nestled amidst breathtaking views of rolling green hills and silver olive groves. The staff were exceptionally friendly, thoughtful, and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food was fresh, delicious, and made with love. We enjoyed engaging activities like a fun pasta cooking class and an exciting truffle hunt, both memorable experiences. Overall, our stay was excellent—relaxing, scenic, and warm. I highly recommend this lovely place for anyone seeking authentic Italian charm and hospitality.

The accommodation was not only comfortable but also perfectly suited for families, with plenty of space and thoughtful amenities that made everyone feel right at home. The place is really magnificent, vineyards and olive trees as far as the eye can see. It was exciting what I was looking for to stay away from the mass tourism circuits in August. I slept in silence and enjoyed the peace that the authentic countryside can give. All this is just minutes from extraordinary cities of art, without excluding the cuisine and wines that the regional tradition offers. See you soon. M

Beautiful location, so nice and calming Beds are so comfy, kitchen has everything you need and outside table for the perfect outside afternoon dinners with friends. No mention of cost of air conditioning on the listing but was notified after we had arrived - we didn’t use it as it wasn’t too hot at night Pool was great to lounge by Near by towns are cute
