“I stayed for a week mostly working during the day in the room and going out in the evenings. The place had everything i needed and Ashish was ready to help with anything I required. Good wifi, clean bathroom and a fairly well-equipped kitchen. It’s about a 30-40 minute uphill walk to MG Marg and less than 15 min walk back downhill. Nice view either through window at the end of corridor or your room (depending on which room you’re staying in). I would stay here again.”

“Deep and Priya, Magical and heavenly, your place is beyond review. Merriam Webster defines a host as “one that receives or entertains guests socially, commercially, or officially”. Add the words “personally and warmly” to this definition , you get the superhosts Deep and Priya. Can you Imagine a host constantly in touch with you all throughout the road trip to the farm, waiting with a lit torch in the middle of a windy freezing December night for you and guiding your young daughter to negotiate a steep descend to the cottage; that’s Deep for you. Deep is listed as a Superhost. A host turns super where he stands by you and lends you a shoulder when distress calls on you uninvited. Our daughter fell sick on the last night of our stay and needed urgent medical care. Home made remedies, assuring companionship, excellent transportation and logistics, our hosts really made their title “Superhost” worthy of it. Bonus: If you’re a dog lover, Jenny the pup and her furry friends will surely put a smile on your face!! Special shout-out to Bishwajeet ,Deep's go-to-man.”

“- The hosts Mr. Sachin and his colleague Mr. Rinzing Chewang were very helpful in accessing the location. Being a first time traveller to Lachen, it was initially difficult in locating but thanks to Mr. Rinzing, we were able to locate the house. - The house is a traditional Sikkimese house constructed with Himalayan oak and is very welcoming. For those travellers looking to experience true Sikkimese lifestyle and hospitality, this is the place where you need to stay. - Mr. Rinzing and his wife were very warm, hospitable and friendly to me and my family. They were always available for helping us whenever we were in doubt and proactively inquired whether we faced any inconvenience. - For our fellow travellers, Mr Rinzing Chewang is a former Indian Army trooper and has a versatile and dynamic personality. His confidence, charm, humility, positive attitude and satisfaction with life is infectious and will quickly captivate you to appreciate your life even more. He is a natural when it comes to socializing and became a fast family friend with our family. Mrs Chewang was an equally engaging and humble personality who helped us feel at home. - As an animal lover myself, I was charmed by the three lovely pet dogs that they have; Sophie, Thumtu and Jimmy. The hosts were careful in keeping their pets away initially, showing their concern in case we were averse to pets. However, the three dogs were extremely friendly and were not at all aggressive. My experience with the Chewang family was a delightful one, not just for the visit but also my life. After learning about the struggles, battles and challenging Mr. Chewang faced for our great country India, I am humbled and now look at my life with a new perspective. I am extremely thankful to Rinzing ji and his wife for showing me how to not just live but enjoy my life and at the same time learn to be content. I humbly thank Mr Sachin Chaudhary ji for this wonderful opportunity to spend time with the Chewang family and look forward to visit them again and again.”
