Located 20 min from the beach and at the foot of the mountain. 20 km from Biarritz, 10 km from Espelette, 5 km from the small train of the Rhune de Sare and in the middle of nature. New house with 3 bedrooms and a large very bright living room. Terrace, BBQ. No wifi. Beach and mountain nearby. CLEANING is NOT INCLUDED. 15 mins from Cambo les Bains, for curists. From February to Toussaint, rentals are made for the week (SATURDAY TO SATURDAY).

A 17th century house, the Altxua house (Aulnaie in Basque) was renovated in 2006 and offers an independent upstairs apartment with its private terrace (with barbecue). It is a short walk from the village of Ascain and all shops (800 m), 10 minutes from the sea and its beaches, golf courses and is the starting point for many hiking trails including the one leading to the Rhune. Nice 2 bedroom duplex on the 1st floor of a small residence in the heart of the Basque Country. Equipped kitchen, living/dining room, large south-facing balcony. Upstairs, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Bed linen and towels included. Private parking space. The village 1.5 km away is within walking distance via the medieval road. You can visit the caves, climb the Rhune aboard the little rack railway, go hiking (PR, GR8, GR10), go see the ocean (14 km) or visit the Spanish side.

Céline and her husband were very welcoming, responsive and very discreet hosts. We had a great time. The accommodation is very cute at the foot of the GR to get to the Rhune. The small village of Sare is pretty with all the shops and good restaurants. We can wholeheartedly recommend staying here.

The apartment was exactly what we wanted for our family trip. The location was incredible, beside the beach and a walkable distance to the middle of town. Our host was extremely knowledgeable, provided us with loads of information including some lovely recommendations for lunch and dinner. The apartment was incredibly clean and equipped with everything we needed. It was very comfortable and I would 100% staying - we hope to stay again in the future.

Nathalie was very welcoming and introduced us to the accommodation and its amenities. Everything was great, it perfectly matched the description and photos. The environment is quiet, away from village life but accessible in less than 10 minutes' walk. The village is very good with different shops and restaurants. The accommodation is warm and perfect for a couple. It's spacious, well decorated, tidy and has everything you need to cook. We had the daily visit of their nice dog and their cat who loves hugs. Easy parking in front of the property. From Ascain, easy departure to the various sites around (Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Biarritz, Train de la Rhune, Spain...) It was a real pleasure to have spent these few days in Ascain.
