Kid-friendly holiday rentals in La Gaulette

The small cottage of Jf and Kareen more than convinced us with its very own charm, a great layout and its optimal location. It was clean, neat and lovingly furnished. The hosts didn't promise too much, were themselves very friendly, courteous and always available for questions. Would recommend this place with a clear conscience at any time 😊

The bungalow is really something special. The wooden house is high-quality and reduced but tastefully furnished. The veranda overlooking the garden is a real highlight. You are in nature, with all the trimmings. The view is truly fantastic. We didn't particularly like the nearby beach, even if it was exciting for the children to watch the planes. Otherwise, the location is good for excursions to Le Morne, the south coast, Chamarel and the national park. Communication with Olivier was easy. We were there with two small children, so a special view: the wood creaks quite a bit, and the doors too. Difficult for noise-sensitive children in the evening/at night. There are also dogs on the property, which are very sweet and usually don't pay attention to us. Still, not for everyone.

We had a wonderful time at Shangri La! Our host Francine was great, she communicated very well and the house was fantastic. We wished we could have stayed longer and we plan to be back soon!

The Villa is amazing. Very peaceful, safe and has a beautiful beach front view. Its extremely spacious with a huge living room and dining. Kitchen has all the amenities required. The best part is the outside sitting area where they also have an 8 seater dining table, where you can sit and enjoy the view of the calm beach. The view of the sunset is breathtaking from here. Swimming pool is very clean and regularly maintained. Master bedroom is quite big. The host of the villa Asvin, is extremely helpful and friendly. Him and the manager Sudesh made sure that we checked in properly and made sure that we were comfortable during our entire stay. Some good restaurants to try, nearby, are Village Cafe (Bf) Chessy Latte (Pizzas), Happy Rajah (Indian) and Chamarel Panoramic Viewpoint Restaurant (Amazing view). Grocery store, London bay, is also very nearby. Overall we loved the place and had an amazing time at the Villa !!

This estate is awesome. Beautiful patio, garden and pool. Well suited for exploring the close by Black River Gorge national park and Le Morne beach. Valerie is a super host! Very friendly, attentive, proactive, providing lots of local info and easy to communicate with.

We enjoyed our stay at Geraldine's. The place was well located in La Gaulette, walking distance from the supermarket and restaurants.

Marine is a wonderful host who created a beautiful and unique environment that is peaceful and welcoming. Staying at the villa was truly the most relaxing experience it was both private and very safe! The beach is at a walkable distance and so are some delicious restaurants. I would stay at the villa again in a heartbeat and it is for sure not my last time!

Anne and Dom are very good hosts, friendly and accessible, respond very quickly to questions or requests. The accommodation is very spacious and very well decorated, we stayed as 3, my spouse, my 2-year-old daughter and myself for 3 nights. The terrace with the garden and the pool are very pleasant. the kitchen is functional. everything is done to feel at home😊.

We had a wonderful time at Le Morne Boutik Retreats! The resort is very stylish and cozy. Our room was super clean and comfortable and the view was simply stunning. The location is perfect, very close to the beach and ideal as a starting point for excursions around Le Morne. We would love to come back and can highly recommend it! 🌺☀️

Stayed here during our holiday to Mauritius, we wanted a night on the west coast for the sunset and you can see that without leaving the balcony. Ms Sheela showed us around and explained everything. Lots of lovely little homely touches like beer in the fridge and soft drinks, toiletries, and even binoculars even to try and spot whales/ dolphins. Patio is huge plenty of space , hosts replied to messages promptly and always answered any questions. Ms sheela and pothano were very accommodating and adaptable to any amendments throughout. We would 100% recommend and happily stay here for a full holiday.

Stéphanie and her team were incredible, very responsive and even helping to set up a surprise birthday welcome for my husband on our arrival. Blue Bay is a dream and this house only adds to it - luxe, easy, and with the lagoon right out your door. Very well set up for kids and families with lots of nice touches. Only drawback is that you're right in the flight path of the airport, which scared our toddler until he got used to it - but luckily the flights don't really go at night so you're not disturbed. Would definitely recommend and hope to return!

Ravishen and his family really took care super well for us. The apartment is at a great location, partial sea view, nice big balcony. Amenities relatively simple, but functional and clean. He organized as well somentrips, rent a car and gave lots of information. Airport pickup with the rental car for a reasonable price was arranged. Absolutely to recommend.

The apartment was really great! The location in Black River (west of Mauritius) is perfect for excursions and daily supply (supermarket, restaurants, boulangerie etc.) is just around the corner. The apartment complex is very nice, clean, safe and well maintained. The pool and the lookout from there on black River Bay and Le Mourne is tremendously great - not only for sunsets. The apartment itself doesn’t lack anything. It was perfectly clean, felt very nice, private and welcome to be inside of it and the balcony is great to enjoy your food or just to relax. It’s in our opinion of a perfect size for four people (family) and the available utensils/ items in the kitchen are well thought-through. Priscilla is a wonderful host with a perfect balance of being very helpful, friendly and reliable without forcing you to anything. We would definitely recommend the apartment as we experienced it.

Wonderful, clean, cosy and very practical in terms of location. Ample parking and great maid service was offered. Would stay again without any hesitation.

It was perfect! We felt right at home, the apartment is nicely and cozily furnished and very well equipped, nothing is missing. Also a very nice big bathroom. The supermarket and a good bakery are around the corner, as well as the very nice beach of La Preneuse and good restaurants. An entrance from Black River Park is also only 15 minutes away by car, so you can also take tours spontaneously. After long days on the island, it was always a nice feeling to come into the apartment and make yourself comfortable. We had a wonderful week in Tatiana's beautiful apartment. The view of the Indian ocean was spectacular. We practically had the pool and beach to ourselves when we were there as very few others around. Tatiana was very responsive, particularly when we had an issue with the hot water on day one. It was all fixed very quickly. I hope one day we can return as it was the perfect base for us to explore the area. Thank you!

We had an absolutely wonderful 4-night stay at this property in Flic en Flac! The host(Tawhida) was fantastic — warm, welcoming, and personally came to meet us during check-in. She gave us a clear walkthrough of the house, which really helped us settle in quickly. The location is ideal, just a 10-minute walk to the beautiful Flic en Flac public beach. Perfect for morning strolls or catching the sunset! The property itself was spotless, well-maintained, and felt like home. We especially appreciated the dedicated covered parking space, which made things very convenient as we had a rental car. Check-out was also smooth and hassle-free. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and well-located stay in Flic en Flac. 🌴🌊

Great apartment with its own grounds and parking. Simple but helpful equipment was available. The host was always trying to make sure we had everything we needed. Kitchen, washing machine were also very helpful. We had a great time and would definitely recommend the accommodation.

The villa is absolutely beautiful. Artistic fixtures everywhere that gave the feel of walking through an art gallery. Swimming pool, gym & jacuzzi all included in your stay. You couldn’t really ask for more. Florian was an amazing host, clear & timely communication, suggestions on what we could do every day (even BEFORE check in) on different parts of the island. He was persistent is ensuring we had a great experience. We have stayed at SO many different airbnbs all over the world & honestly I would say Florian is the best host we have encountered. I’m not just saying this, we don’t owe him anything this is just a true reflection of our experience. We stayed in a hotel before we stayed here & wished that we had found this place & stayed here the whole time. It turned our trip from good to great & is a big reason why we would even return to 🇲🇺. If I could rate our stay 7 stars I would as 5 doesn’t even do it justice. Thank you Florian for everything & we hope to stay with you again!

The place totally exceeded our expectations, infinity pool was just incredible, we ended up using it every evening while watching the sunset. The flat was really high quality, every little detail was thought through. Also kitchen had everything you could possibly need, like really everything. Martine was lovely and always quick to help if anything came up, and the staff were so friendly and polite. Also what surprised us a lot was that they cleaned the flat every day which we never seen in Airbnbs. Great value for money, would 100% come back.
