The property is absolutely stunning, only topped by the amazing views! The home is beautifully nestled into the rock and natural surroundings. Consequently, the views from the hot tub and the sauna are breathtaking. During our stay, we had excellent sunny weather and enjoyed daily. Hikes: either directly from the home or within a 30 minute car drive. The house itself is well laid out and the kitchen has everything you need for six people. It never felt crowded, except occasionally the two lounge chairs from which you could view the valley, as we sometimes fought over who gets to sit in them… 😊 There is a small grocery store just down the mountain within a 15 minute drive. It is well stocked but a bit expensive. For us this was a perfect vacation as we just wanted to enjoy nature and relax. Beyond that, there really isn’t much to do as there are neither museums nor cultural points of interest. During the winter time, this obviously is a prime skiing location.

Wonderful place tucked away by a lake. Very cosy and has everything you need. If you visit in winter the road can get slippery so make sure you are well prepared!

Absolutely loved our stay here! The cabin is just so perfect, location is amazing! It had everything we needed and more! The hot tub was amazing, we loved using it and watching the sunset. Kitchen is perfectly equipped with everything you may need! Shop is just down the road. The hosts were so quick with responding to us to any questions we had. Would recommend to anyone!!! 🤩

Honestly one of the best airbnbs I’ve booked. Very cozy, well planned interior. The fireplace and sauna were a great add on. It’s a great airbnb if you’re planning for a cozy trip with close friends and family. We went as a group of 8 people and it was extremely comfortable for everyone. Marieke the host was also very accommodating and kind, always on stand by if anything was needed or if we had any questions. Definitely would recommend to others!

We were 5 people staying in the house in August. It’s a beautiful house as described with a great view over the lake. The information center for the national park is only a 2 minutes walk away. Nevertheless, the spot is private and very quite, perfect for a relaxing time. It’s a great spot for activities like hiking various trails nearby or visiting the national park. We were really impressed by the spectacular nature. The house was clean and had all amenities making our stay a great experience. Check-in was easy and very flexible. Stein-Arve was a very helpful and responsive hosts, providing us with many information on possible activities. We can really recommend the house for a stay in the area.

Very nice and modern cottage, there were a few things I think should be improved in the future. Essentials like toilet paper and hand soap were missing. It was a long weekend away and it was hard to buy these products. I think it's worth thinking about the lighting on the terrace by the jacuzzi, the lack of lighting made it harder to use the hot water and the grill when the sun went down :) generally very nice neighborhood, quick contact with the owner and a clean modern cottage :)

Very cozy and well-functioning cabin with extremely good location for alpine slopes and cross-country skiing (200 meters). Øystein always responded quickly. I only have great recommendations.

Great and cozy cabin, everything worked as it should. The double bed was very narrow for 2 people. Fun with touring in the living room. Short distance to the slalom slope and cross country tracks. Cozy hostess who allowed us to send check out since the first day had miserable weather and the second day brilliant sun and the opportunity for a day of skiing. Thank you for us, we would love to come back.

It was our second holiday in Rauland and we felt very comfortable in Richard and Monica's house again. We were lucky with the weather. Every day we could enjoy the view of the fascinating mountains from the large terrace. The house is very cosy and the perfect place to relax after a ski tour. Richard and Monica are wonderful hosts and always very helpful. The central location of the house is ideal for winter sports and excursions in the surrounding area. We made it to the highest mountain Gaustatoppen this time and it was a great experience. Rauland is always worth a visit and we would love to come back.

Very nice cabin—modern, clean, and equipped with everything one might need. Perfect location right by the slopes, making it ideal for skiing. Mr. Ulf is very kind, helpful, and communicates easily. We would love to travel here again 🙂

Great stay at Rauland, a little bit colder than the rest of south Norway, but central towards many interesting spots around. Good communicating and friendly host.

We were on tembuilding and enjoyed two days, despite bad weather. The place is suitable for many, even if you have to be inside. Everything was tidy and ready when we arrived, and we have got quick answers to what we were wondering about ahead of time. Have already decided to come back

Lovely cabin that is family friendly (we were there with 2 smaller children to ski). Short walk to the alpine area, possibility to drive to the mountain top and walk a small round of cross-country skiing as well as small cross-country tracks under 100 meters from the cabin. Otherwise cozy and practically furnished cabin with lovely sun terrace. It was great to be there and we experienced hosts who responded quickly to questions.

We had the pleasure of the house in week 7, 2024. The house is definitely recommended. The view of the valley is wonderful and you can walk a few meters to the lift. There are two kitchens in the house, which is a big advantage when there are many. We all had a great time. Fred Hansen is very helpful and responds quickly.

We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children who were on a skiing holiday in Vrådal. We have been in Vrådal for many years and this cabin was one of the best we had stayed in. There was plenty of space and the cabin was very well equipped and had everything we needed. It only took 2 minutes to walk to the lift/piste from the cabin and back. We had a few questions for the host (Henrik) along the way, and he responded immediately without any problems. All in all, we have been super happy with the stay in the cabin and if we come back to Vrådal next year, we will definitely try to book the same cabin again.

A cozy, stylish, and incredibly warm house, perfect for a comfortable stay. The hosts kindly provided bed linens and towels for a small additional fee, which was a pleasant bonus. The house is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including thoughtful details like salt, pepper, cooking oil, some firewood, and toilet paper — a delightful and unexpected touch. The panoramic windows offer breathtaking views of the mountains. All essential amenities are within easy reach: it’s just a 5-minute drive to the ski resort and plenty of activities to enjoy in both winter and summer. A sauna by a natural lake with an ice hole is just a 10-minute drive away. The roads are cleared of snow daily. Moreover, in early January, we were lucky to catch a slight glimpse of the northern lights. The hosts were always available and responded promptly to any questions, leaving the best impressions. In conclusion, this is a wonderful place to stay with family or friends. Highly recommended!!

When driving, everything looked taken care of. Upon entering, we received a confirmation as it looked outside. Neat, warm, luxuriously furnished and thought of everything. Wood was ready for the stove, the kitchen generously furnished, where thought had already been thought to satisfy the first tasty appetite. Very enjoyable after a long day of travel. Breathtaking views from the living room. After the first night, this was complemented by an even more beautiful panoramic view sunrise. Located on top of the mountain, almost on the slopes, everyone was free to do and leave what everyone wanted. The owner communicated very smoothly and pleasantly. Highly recommended as a vacation spot.
