A cosy, warm little haven in the beautiful wild. It is well thought out - all the instructions given by Marianne and George, and noted around the cabin ensure your stay is seamless and answers all the questions you might have - it is important to listen to them, especially as you are in the middle of the wild, responsible for your own warmth and staying in someone’s home. You are stepping back in time, at one with nature. This is a magical place. Marianne and George are kind and welcoming people. In the middle of an area flooded with guides and tourists and impersonal experiences they are a true find. Passionate about nature and the aurora, experts in the region (Marianne is a local). If you’re looking for other experiences whilst staying in the area - they are the perfect people to ask (especially aurora hunting). Going to the cabin is a truly unique experience. We are leaving with stars in our eyes and will definitely return.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt gehabt! Check-In und Check-Out per Schlüsselbox und alles war frisch bezogen. Auf Anfrage hat man uns auch Trinkwasser bereitgestellt. Bitte beachtet dass aufgrund der Wasserfärbung eigenes stilles Wasser mitgebracht werden sollte, bekommt man auch in jeden Einkaufsladen. Der Coop in Mestervik ist ca. 25 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt und ist die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit. Ansonsten haben wir auch von Nachbarn nichts mitbekommen bzw. nichts gehört. Man hat tatsächlich ein schönes ruhiges Örtchen, mit herrlichen Ausblick und den Fjord und die dahinterliegende Bergkette. Der Whirpool war ganz einfach zu benutzen und ist ständig gewärmt. Die Sauna lässt sich mit Holz beheizen. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Woche und würden wieder kommen. Über angebliches Viehzeug im Haus können wir nichts sagen, bei uns war alles sauber und ordentlich. Fahrt am Besten im Winter mit 4x4 und Spikes. Die Straße zur Unterkunft vereist gerne mal.

Stunning views and location, and so cozy. Highlights are the jacuzzi, sauna, access to take a dip in the fjord, the fireplace in the living room, the comfy beds, and fully kitted out kitchen with a great coffee machine. Host was very nice and always responsive. Highly recommend!

Die Unterkunft war genau wie beschrieben, super gemütlich und mit einer traumhaften Aussicht. Arthur hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen, uns einige Tipps für Tromsø gegeben und sogar noch Getränke für den Whirlpool gebracht. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Ein absolut gelungener Aufenthalt in Norwegen. Sehr freundliche und unkomplizierte Kommunikation von Anfang bis Ende. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist ein Traum um abzuschalten. Ruhige Lage mit toller Aussicht. Sauna, Whirlpool oder ein gemütliches Feuer im Kamin helfen dabei. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt im Haus. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen, es war wirklich toll. Danke für alles.

Stay and book within the city of Tromsø for 2-3 days and the rest of your stay, you MUST book one of Freddy’s campers. Beyond the city, you will see the real beauty of Tromsø. We stayed at Freddy’s place for 5 nights! Within six days, 1. We saw the Aurora Borealis dancing right in front of Freddy’s property. 2. We watched the most beautiful green, pink, purple Aurora Borealis during our last night right at Freddy’s backyard. 💚💜💖 3. We hiked twice in different areas 30-mins away by driving from Freddy’s place, 4. We had a walk in the nearby area 5. We ate quail eggs (gifted to us by Freddy). 6. There was a day when we just stayed in the camper, enjoyed the view and read a book. We also walked around the area that day. 7. From afar, we saw Moose and Reindeers. 8. Max the cat, the ducks and Geese are a plus! So adorable! We really wanted to get around the places outside the city, good thing Freddy had an extra car for us to rent. We can assure you, renting a car and driving around is worth the view, worth the everything! 😉 The camper was clean, complete and organize as we arrived. For two people, it is very spacious. The view from the window is stunning. The camper is well-heated. 30mins away, there is a local grocery store. We ate there once and we liked it, and we did our groceries from there too. Karin welcomed us and explained to us everything. Freddy was very helpful with many tips to give us. You can ask him anything about Tromsø. He lent us snow shoes and walking sticks for hiking. We wouldn’t have hiked without it. They are both hospitable and very interesting people to talk with. So if you’re planning a trip outside of Tromsø city, Freddy’s camper is the place to be!

We cannot say enough about how lovely our stay was at this beautiful property. The views, the comfortable accommodations, the sauna and jacuzzi, cozy and well supplied kitchen…Tromvik Lodge had it all! We really appreciated how responsive Tore was since we needed some guidance with it being our first time in Norway. He made everything accessible for us and we felt right at home. Despite it being cloudy during our stay, we had two spectacular nights viewing the Aurora borealis! It was a dream come true in the most perfect setting at this lodge.

We keken enorm uit naar ons verblijf in Noorwegen en de host was steeds bereikbaar. We kozen voor een verblijf in rust en natuur met sauna en hottub. Voor het gebruik hiervan moesten we bijbetalen wat niet zo heel duidelijk staat vermeld. Voor deze prijs misschien wel wat meer hout voorzien want hier kom je zeker niet mee toe en vermits de prijs toch al prijzig is mocht dit er wel onbeperkt inzitten vinden wij. Het huis was proper, ruim en prachtig zicht. Wel een gevaarlijke trap naar boven, vooral het gat naar onder als je boven staat. Kinderen die aan het spelen zijn hebben dit niet altijd in het oog, misschien een omheining voorzien voor de veiligheid! De openhaard is zeker een pluspunt want we houden van deze gezelligheid. We hebben 5 van de 6 nachten het noorderlicht kunnen bewonderen vanop het terras. De keukenuitrusting kan misschien nog iets uitgebreider. We misten een mixer om onze soep te mixen en een vergiet om de spaghetti af te schudden.

Ottima esperienza in una casa molto accogliente e pulita e con gli host sempre disponibili ad aiutarti. posizione vicina al centro, facilmente raggiungibile con 3 fermate di bus, zona splendida soprattutto per i dintorni, con una vista spettacolare sulla città e abbiamo avuto anche la fortuna di vedere l'aurora boreale dalla finestra.

Amazing job of converting boathouse into very nice living quarters. Hosts are friendly, responsive, and provide very good info on what to do in the area. We saw northern lights over the marina during our March stay. Turn on Youtube, put on a crackling fire, and enjoy watching the boat traffic pass by. A big snowstorm came in before and during our stay and they did a great job of keeping the driveway clear. The road from Tromso was also fine for driving during our winter stay. We got a few groceries and the kitchen had everything we needed. Cabin is warm and cozy, VERY clean. Great location for exploring the area. We would stay here again.

Die Wohnung befindet sich in einer ruhigen Gegend oben auf dem Berg. Die Bushaltestelle ist nur wenige hundert Meter entfernt. Auf der anderen Straßenseite hat man einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf die Stadt, am letzten Abend haben wir von dort die Polarlichter über dem Haus, der Stadt und dem Storsteinen beobachtet, wirklich sehr schön. Für Skifahrer (Langlauf) ist die Gegend perfekt. In unmittelbarer Nähe befinden sich mehrere beleuchtete Loipen (z.B. Charlottenlund oder Prestvatnet). Auch der Tromsø Alpinpark hat mir gut gefallen. Es sind sehr nette Gastgeber, ich musste gar keine Fragen stellen, da alles vorher schon über die Airbnb App beantwortet wurde (Code für die Schlüsselbox, WLAN, Mülltrennung, Zugang zur Wohnung, ...). Da es nicht mein erster Aufenthalt in Tromsø war, war ich nicht auf Ausflugstipps angewiesen, es liegen aber mehrere Broschüren hierfür im Regal. Mit dem Bus ist man in rund 10 Minuten unten in der Stadt. Die Umgebung (generell Nord-Norwegen) ist wunderschön.

Best place to stay on the island! Incredible mountain and water view out the back window. Quiet apartment with plenty of elbow space, including a full kitchen and living room. Nice change after the typical, tight city rentals. Opportunity to take a polar plunge from the backyard. Short drive into town, accessible by car or omnipresent bus system. Ørjan and Maria couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. They felt like family in no time. Five stars all the way.

Widok z tarasu to chyba największy atut tego domu- Jest przepiękny. Kawa w towarzystwie przyjaciół z takim widokiem smakuje lepiej. Dom idealnie mieści 8 osob- są 4 sypialnie. W jednej piętrowe łóżko, ale dolne spokojnie mieści 2 osoby. Wnętrze urządzone w klimatyczny stylu vintage. łóżka wygodne, zasłony spełniały swoją funkcje- momentalnie w sypialni robiło się ciemno. Polecamy:)

Le chalet est parfait pour y passer quelques jours. La vue depuis la terrasse est magnifique ! Il y a de très belles randonnées à faire à proximité du logement.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Aussicht vom Haus auf den Fjord ist traumhaft! Das Haus ist sehr schön und gemütlich. Die Sauna ist ebenfalls sehr schön und bietet ebenfalls einen wunderschönen Blick auf den Fjord. Ich würde sofort wieder buchen!

This is a great place that we truly recommend! It’s a nice flat that suited us (2 adults +2 children) perfectly. Easy commute to the city centre, but also possible to walk. The host, Irene, is super-friendly and flexible and shares useful tips and info about the area. And Sally the cat made our stay even better – she’s adorable! 😍

Meravigliosa baita con una vista incredibile sul fiordo. Luminosa e confortevole, con un sacco di spazi comuni utili per le nostre esigenze. É stata la base perfetta per la nostra settimana di scialpinismo a Lyngen. Inoltre, la chicca è la vasca idromassaggio esterna dove ci si può rilassare sotto le stelle a fine giornata. Maria e Andreas sono sempre stati disponibili e molto amichevoli, accogliendoci anche nel cuore della notte a causa di un ritardo del nostro volo. Consigliatissimo!

Ich durfte vor 2 Jahren schon mal bei Bjørn im Airbnb übernachtet und habe mich in das Haus und die Umgebung verliebt. Ich würde behaupten das Bjørn eines der schönsten Airbnb auf dieser Plattform besitzt. Aber nicht nur das Haus und die atemberaubende Aussicht auf denn Fjord sonder auch die äusserst freundliche Gastfreundschaft von Bjørn macht diesen Ort so speziell.

Wir hatten vier unvergessliche Tage in Trømsø. Die Wohnung hatte eine gute Lage. Nähe zum Zentrum und zum Wasser. Es gab sogar einen Parkplatz am Haus. Die Wohnung war sauber und sehr gut gepflegt und sehr gut ausgestattet.

Cleand and tidy and super close to Tromso downtown with a grocery store next door. Place was comfortable for the three of us with room to spare. Had everything you need to make your stay comfy.

This was our first visit to Tromsø, and we couldn’t have found a better place to stay. About 30 minutes drive from the city, the apartment is beautifully located by the fjord—peaceful and scenic. Susann and her family were warm and welcoming. We travelled with our 1.5-year-old and were touched by the thoughtful touches—travel cot, age-appropriate toys, books, and even a winter suit for our little one. The weather turned out colder than expected, but thankfully the hosts had winter gear like suits and crampons available for rent at reasonable prices. We especially enjoyed the campfire spot (we were there 2 afternoons during our 4nights stay) and were so grateful when they cleared the snowy path for us after hearing we couldn’t find it. The apartment was clean, spacious, and perfect for our family of three. Highly recommended—Susann and Jørgen are wonderful hosts!
