A secluded private retreat in the heart of Yanbaru

Fantastic location for Cape Hedo and Yanbaru forest! We booked this place in order to do some night photography of the stars. The yard has solar controlled lights so they cannot be turned off, however other dark areas are a 10 minute drive. The location was walkable distance to two restaurants with lunch only open times. We brought our own dinner, but there is a grocery store where you can purchase ingredients to cook if you forgot. The little village is peaceful. Our toddler did wake up to the 7am village chime unfortunately, but we expected as much. The road to the driveway is narrow, but doable. The house itself was perfect save for the heat. The house AC is turned off between guests so we arrived to a very hot house. Even with the ACs running on their coldest setting, it took about 6 hours for the house to cool down to a decent temperature. However once we cooled down the house, it was perfect. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Absolutely fantastic place, the view is breathtaking. You could spend your days reading and contemplating the sea (which I did). The accommodation is very comfortable and very well equipped. For those who are driving, there is a parking lot nearby. The kindness of the hosts is unparalleled. Thank you again for this bubble of calm and silence in such a beautiful place.

I am really thankful to Miho & Toshi San for their help. They gave us recommendations and helped us prepare food for our shabu shabu in advance. Toshi-San also helped drive me to the nearest bike repair shop at Nago to fix my brakes, if not, I would not have been able to continue my ride around Okinawa. Lastly, he also personally drove over to pass a pair of slippers which my friend left at the Airbnb because the courier service could not guarantee to be able to deliver it by the day we leave Naha.

We had a great stay! The house was comfortable, located in a peaceful area just steps from the beach. The price was very affordable, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking meals. We also appreciated the convenient BBQ area. It’s only a few minutes’ drive to some really good local restaurants, which was a big plus. One downside for couples is that all the beds are singles—there’s no larger bed to share. Other than that, everything was wonderful!

I really enjoyed my stay in this peaceful house, near nature, despite very humid conditions. The included car was very convenient and it was easy to pick up and return at the airport. The place is ideally located to explore the Yanbaru forest. Yas was helpful and friendly. I recommend it.

Wow, this Airbnb is super cosy and comfortable. It’s exactly as the photos, super spacious and clean! We really loved the space and the beautiful view of the sea and sunrise. I’d highly recommend this cabin for a comfortable, clean and great value stay. Jiunyun sent super clear instructions for check-in, it was completely hassle-free. The Airbnb is up on the mountain, as expected, so it is a drive up and the WiFi is a little weak but to be expected for the location.
