Family-friendly holiday rentals in Klaksvík

The accommodation was the absolute highlight of our stay in the Faroe Islands. It is truly uniquely beautiful and the pictures cannot reflect the beauty of the surroundings. The house is so cozy, authentic and a place where you can relax and also feel comfortable right away. Unfortunately, the whirlpool was broken, but we were told in time and we were offered a sauna directly in front of the house instead. That was really great! We stayed for almost 2 weeks and we never got used to the view. the house itself is very nice and has everything you need. The location is the best, both for peace and quiet and to get everywhere in Faroër.

This little cottage was absolutely perfect for our stay in the Faroe Islands. We sat and had coffee in the sunroom every morning and watched the waves. The hot tub was amazing, even with the drizzly weather. Leynar was a a calm and peaceful home base for our trip and it was easy to hop back on the highway and go wherever we needed. Everything in the house was as described and the kitchen was very useful! The beds were pretty comfy too!

The view from Steinbjorn’s home is quite possibly the most beautiful vista I have experienced anywhere in the World. They say location is everything, and I don’t believe my experience of the Faroe Islands would have been as good had I stayed anywhere else. The solitude of Elduvík was perfect for my solo mountain biking trip, the pink sunsets at Midnight incredible, and the hot tub after a few hours on the bike the icing on the cake. The lounge and dining room are spacious and well appointed, the kitchen clean and well provisioned. I had the pleasure of meeting Steinbjorn when I arrived at the house. He is a friendly chap and is clearly proud of his home. Communication with him both prior to, and during my trip was superb, lots of recommendations for places to visit, and information regarding the village. Steinbjorn was also very attentive to any queries I had whilst at the house. I could not have hoped for a better experience.

Everything was clean and tidy. All as described. Beautiful house in beautiful area, great!

Nice place to stay near the airport , especially if you want to hike the famous waterfall trail and nearby slave lake. We stayed here our first night, and hit all the surrounding area hikes with this Airbnb as our base. Close to airport, easy to find, clean, easy to park.

We had such a wonderful stay! The location is wonderful for exploring Vagar and right near the local football pitch and beach. The house is very comfortable and makes you feel at home.

Very spacious and lovely place! At the back of a petrol station thus easy to buy snacks and refill your car. Highly recommended!

We were guests in this beautifully developed boathouse for a week. The location in the middle of the Faroe Islands is unbeatable, from here you can explore the whole country by car! It was just super cozy, quiet and relaxing here. The accommodation was exactly as described and everything was very clean and tidy. We were also very happy about the washing machine and dryer, you can't find that everywhere. Communication with the hosts was always very friendly, informative and fast. We can only recommend the accommodation as well as Maria and Pol as hosts and would definitely come again.

Great place to stay. It was very comfortable, quiet and well-equipped. The location is good too - the centre of Torshavn is so easy to access quickly by car, there is a good supermarket nearby and some good takeaway food places too. Hilary is a good host, taking care to provide a really good experience and to communicate well.

Very clean place with a fully equipped kitchen. Loved the dining area where we can look out to the fjords. a convenient place to get to all islands, Torshavn and airport.

The location of the house was very central, very quiet, small village. The roads in front of the accommodation were fantastic for cycling with great views. Very well equipped kitchen with everything you need. The view from the bay window is always fascinating - depending on the light and weather. The balcony with a little sun is immediately cozy for sitting. Great!

stayed for 10 days at Anna's house and it was a pleasure. We are every year in the Faroe Islands (since 2007) where we rent private houses and it is absolutely in the top 3, can only be recommended.

Stayed at this house for several nights, and it was exactly as described. Holger and Sylvia provided many brochures and suggestions regarding things to do in the area, and we're very quick to respond to messages. The house is spacious and was very clean.
