It is a 10 min hike to the Escarpment Lookout, and roughly a 25 min hike to your canoe on a small lake. There is a picnic table, firepit, outdoor gazebo bar, seasonal outdoor shower and private outhouse. The cabin comes with a map of 30km of trails for you to hike or snowshoe. No neighbours within 500m in any direction. Possibility of occasional guest cars going past.

The chalet is located at Gerber's Nursery outside the village of Golden Lake, and provides a cozy get away for a couple, small family or four friends travelling together. One bedroom has a Queen bed and the loft has a double, with a small sofa bed downstairs which sleeps one. We are 30 minutes from Renfrew, Pembroke and Barry's Bay. 1.5 hours west of Ottawa. In the other direction 1.5 hours to Algonquin Park. A great base to explore the Ottawa Valley.

I recently stayed at this beautiful yurt and had the most peaceful and memorable experience! From the moment we arrived, everything felt cozy, welcoming, and perfectly in tune with nature. The yurt was clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed — it had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. Waking up to the sounds of birds and falling asleep under the soft glow of the stars through the skylight was pure magic. The surroundings were serene and private, perfect for unwinding and disconnecting from the hustle of daily life. Our host was incredibly kind and responsive, making sure we felt right at home. I truly appreciated the personal touches and care that went into every detail of the stay. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, this yurt is an absolute gem. Highly recommended — I can’t wait to come back!

The cottage was a home away from home, clean, spacious and a perfect getaway from the hustling city life. Very clean and comfy beds, spacious living and kitchen area. Amazing views of the beautiful lake and loved our everyday visitor, the blue jay and other chirping birds. We had a great time kayaking and exploring the peaceful lake. A group of 15 family and friends had the best time at this cottage created the best memories that we all will keep close and thanks to this amazing cottage we were able to do so. The place has been added to the list of places to revisit and rebook. Also would like to talk about the amazing host, Tabita she was more than just a host, she was amazing, responded to all our questions quickly and was very considerate for calling to ask how our check in was and if we had any trouble finding the cottage and if we had any questions once we checked in. A very amazing host she is. Overall, fantastic and the best getaway to relax and have loads of fun

Our stay in the glamping dome was great! The host left surprise snacks that were a nice touch and fresh eggs in the fridge. All of the amenities of home or a hotel were included. Access to paddle boards, kayaks, paddle boats, lifejackets and more was a wonderful feature. Instructions were clear and communication was quick and responsive. I would definitely got back.

The cottage is very clean, cozy and full of things to do, the lake that it’s located on is spectacular. There are a bunch of ways to enjoy the water, kayaks, a canoe, paddle board and row boat. The hosts are very friendly and responsive we had a great time visiting their place
