Loved my stay Margret’s. She’s present and ensures you have a comfortable stay. The room was clean, well equipped with basic utensils, and all around comfortable! It’s also a walking distance from the beach, Cowrie shells nearby has a mean whisky sour.

The location is unmatched! You can safely walk to the mall and get all the things you might need. The pool was enjoyable and the view was unbeatable. It’s a suitable place to stay in Mombasa for holidays!

We were a family of four with two children ages 9 and 7 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in watamu. My children didn’t want to leave the pool and it was so convenient that it was right outside the veranda. The location is perfect. Right on the beach but so close to walking to lots of restaurants, shopping, etc. you can walk down the beach to hire a boat for a ride to snorkel and dolphin watch, you can walk out to the islands at low tide. We hired Joffit, a local chef at Federica’s recommendation , to prepare breakfast and lunches and do shopping. Would highly recommend to anyone else. It made the stay very relaxing. The flat was perfect for our family. Extremely clean, spacious and we appreciated the minimalist decor. We didn’t notice any loud noise like other reviewers mentioned. We could hear the waves at night. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy Watamu.

Great spot in the heart of Mombasa, easy access to the beach with a lovely pool. The house itself has everything you need, soft sheets and fans that keep the room cool.

Che bellezza! Debra's gorgeous flat is precisely how it looks in the photos: airy, spacious, clean, quiet, with a beautiful view of the beach. What's more, my partner and I ran into an issue at the airport and had to push our trip back a day—and I've never known an AirBnB host to be more empathetic or responsive. Then there's Jackson. More than a caretaker, Jackson is deeply kind and hugely helpful host—a priceless concierge. With unfailing calm and charm, Jackson sorted us out with a tuktuk driver (request Salim!), an incredible chef (request Francis!), and when we left something behind, went above and beyond to have it shipped to Nairobi. AirBnB is full of magical properties, and I've been blessed to enjoy a fair few, but the experience that Jackson offers at Debra's flat in Malindi is one of a kind.

Great location with easy access to local shopping and resorts. A very responsive host with prompt action taken when we had hot water issue. The cleaner was very professional and provided service with a smile. Good security and helpful staff at the reception. Definitely was a home away from home.

Our stay at Azzurra's place was fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The apartment itself was charming, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, making us feel right at home, and the location is so close to the Watamu Mall where you can find an ATM, supermarket, nice coffee shop, and means of transportation to go around. The pool area was like a private oasis beautifully landscaped, impeccably maintained, and just the perfect temperature for a refreshing dip. Whether we were lounging poolside with a good book or taking a leisurely swim under the sun, every moment spent here felt like pure bliss Furthermore, Azzurra went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Amazing place! The house is beautiful and charming, the pool is lush, the staff are wonderful and the chef very good. Elizabeth was incredibly helpful and easy to coordinate with. We couldn’t have been happy - highly recommend!

This place is definitely worth your time looking at. I thought I’d miss being right at the beach, but honestly, we looked forward to coming ‘home’ to Joseph and David and the calm, quiet, cool of Ruby House. We spent time reading, playing games, reconnecting and resting, as well as swimming and bobbing in the creek - listening and watching birds. It is so peaceful - chatting with fishermen, and just taking in the surroundings. We went for a few day trips- the Gede ruins are well worth an hour of your time, sand dunes north of malindi were great. And we LOVED Garoda Beach - much less seaweed and less busy. I could not speak more highly of the staff - they were present but not, flexible, understanding and really wanted to help make your time enjoyable. The rooms were so comfortable. I think it may be a little hot in the very hot month, but it gets a lovely breeze and there is always the one room to escape into for an afternoon nap if necessary - but we didn’t need to do this. Home from home! A beautiful spot - gorgeous gardens, a fabulous swimming pool and a lovely home with lots of space to spread out and relax. Tess is the host with the most. From the initial booking information until our departure, Tess made sure we had everything we needed and more. She had great recommendations for the local area and was keen to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We really can’t rate her enough. The team of staff led by Daniel, the chef, were also amazing. Daniel’s cooking was suburb- our evening meals were restaurant standard. We particularly enjoyed the locally caught seafood. All in all, an amazing stay in a gorgeous spot!

This was my second time staying at this villa, and it was just as amazing as the first—if not better! I came with a group of friends for my bachelorette trip (first time for most of them), and the experience was unforgettable. The staff truly made our stay special. William, the chef, was incredible—he made sure we were always well-fed, worked around our timings, and even helped with our daily shopping needs. Mercy and Tatu kept the villa spotless and were so sweet, even making us some chips one afternoon when we had a craving! Vincent ensured the pool was always clean and helped out with anything we needed. Our hosts, Philippe and Soltana, were so accommodating and warm. Even though the villa is for 8 and we were 9, they helped us with extra arrangements and were genuinely excited for our girls trip. They checked in often and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this villa if you’re looking for a relaxing, well-catered, and welcoming stay. I’ll definitely be back!

Lovely house, great pool, attentive but unobtrusive staff including a great chef. You need some reliable Tuk Tuk drivers to get to the beach and other places but you wouldn’t get a place of this quality/price by the beach. Both our families had an incredible stay at Watamu.

I love this bnb! this was my 2nd stay and won't be the last. whenever am traveling to mombasa this is my go to spot. the bnb is beautiful the decor is kool unique and stylish . the seller is the view!! it's what really draws me there each time. loaded with amenities pretty much everything you can think of is there. very comfortable sofa seating and bed. I literally have no complaints the only thing that could make it better is if it was in a more happening area but it's easy to get around with ubers. the host is amazing she always gets back to me with any concerns and rectified them. she definitely takes wanting us to have a good experience serious. pro tip . there is a store nearby on called food plus where you can get cases of water, snacks and even food stuff for cooking. the big thing is there is also a pharmacy and atm in that same Plaza. good to know because there is not an atm at the premises where you'll stay. cash is king.

We had an excellent and restful stay at Claudio's! The photos do not do this listing justice - it is a very beautiful and thoughtfully designed space. The surrounding environment is very tranquil and just what we needed for our trip to Malinidi. The hospitalily of Henry is unmatched and he made checking in and checking out very seamless. I highlighly recommend Claudio's place. We will be visiting again!

Susan’s place is a true gem. The beds were comfortable, always hot water and power, well equipped kitchen and a gorgeous pool and patio. Even niceties I dint expect like security cameras, house cleaning and a quality washing machine. You have all you need to live there autonomously. Next door is a great pizza place w vegan pizza and cocktails! Notes for families: the beach that is directly outside of Susan’s compound is not family friendly nor good for swimming (trash and khat chewers). But the cleaner swim able beach is just a 8 min Tuk Tuk ride away. Worth the distance to have such a gorgeous condo! The pool was shallow enough for my 5 yo to stand w her head above water but a short child or a younger child couldn’t stand. There is no “kiddie pool”

I spent two nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I booked, Abdirahman was communicative and friendly, sharing clear arrival instructions and local tips that made my trip seamless. The space itself was immaculate and thoughtfully furnished. I loved the comfortable king-size bed, and the fully equipped kitchen that allowed me to prepare breakfast. The Wifi was good. The location is a bit out of the way from local central attractions, but I was using the space as layover on my way to Kilifi so I really didn’t mind. Plus it offered privacy and silence that I needed.

The house looks exactly like it does in the photos—no surprises, no disappointments. The view is stunning, and there’s a large shared pool that’s perfect for relaxing. Everything was very clean, and Silvia was incredibly helpful and always quick to respond. The location is unbeatable—it’s right on the beach, just a couple of steps away. Unfortunately, we visited during the low season, so we ended up going to Garoda Beach to swim. Still, I’m sure that during the high season, you can fully enjoy the beautiful beach right in front of the house. Overall, we had a great experience. If there’s one thing I would suggest improving, it’s the interior design. Replacing the bedsheets on the couches with proper covers would make the space feel much more polished—and truly deserving of more than 5 stars.

Franca's apartment is tastefully furnished, airy and with a sea view, as in the photos. The garden, pools and beach are a jewel...quiet and relaxing. Franca is a careful and thoughtful host, ready to give excellent advice on excursions, restaurants etc. Really super recommended!

I had a wonderful stay at Marie’s apartment during my conference at PrideInn Paradise, Mombasa. The location was perfect—conveniently close to the venue yet peaceful enough for rest after long days. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and exactly as it looks in the photos. The host was incredibly responsive, friendly, and made check-in and check-out seamless. Overall, I truly appreciated the hospitality and would gladly stay here again during future visits to Mombasa. Highly recommended!

The location was excellent—convenient, peaceful, and close to everything we needed. Brian was a very responsive and helpful host, always quick to reply and make sure we were comfortable.
