The house is in a beautiful garden and the terrace allows you to admire Lake Tanganyika. The interior. the bedrooms, the living room are spacious and well appointed. The house is really inhabited, decorated, lively. Kitchen has what's necessary. The city center with shops and the market are 10 minutes walk. We had a lovely stay. I would definitely recommend it.

We stayed at Said and Kudu’s place for three nights to visit Katumbi and the Mahale National Park. We truly loved our stay there. The accomodation is located in the lovely Katumbi village where everybody was very friendly and nice with us. Kudu is a great host, extremely caring and always available to organize and do activities together. We had lovely dinners together that we will always remember. Katumbi is a little gem in a beautiful region and Mahale park is only 2 hs away by boat. The guesthouse contribute to funding an important agroforestry project in the region and this is an added reason to visit and stay at Said’s place. You will not find a fancy lodge but a truly immersive and authentic experience close to the people of Katumbi. Highly recommended!

It was perfect for our family of 4 children 12 years and younger. Quiet location and really felt safe. The house is old but was very clean and nicely decorated. One bedroom was without a fan but the house is shaded and it was cool enough that was no problem. Our children enjoyed the toys there and there is a nice view of lake Tanganika.

We enjoyed our stay with Mteule very much. He picked us up in town and took us to the house which is located around 2 km outside the immediate town surrounded by hills. He also made sure we accessed a supermarket and got all things we needed. He also arranged for help to cook in the house since it's located away from restaurants. The place felt very comfortable and safe and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay with Mteule again.

My stay was perfect, the place is neatly and extremely worth exceeding my expectations. I will for sure recommend anyone visiting to choose the Kidyama house. Grace went extra miles on services offered on accommodation and gastronomy (Foods). I will absolutely be back at this location soon.

I recently stayed at Hija's House in the Mlole Area, Kigoma, for six nights, and it was fantastic. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at home. The warm hospitality and attention to detail made my stay memorable. The house is charming and spacious, with three bedrooms. We were lucky to be the first to stay after a major renovation. The rooms are clean and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Kigoma. The kitchen is fully equipped with almost everything you need for meal preparation. The house has parking for 2-3 mid-sized vehicles, with ample space outside the wall fence. The National Housing neighborhood in Mlole is peaceful and safe, with a security guard at the entrance. Hija's House is conveniently located near local attractions, markets, and public transportation. I enjoyed visiting nearby Lake Tanganyika and engaging in various water activities. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend Hija's House to anyone.

Very nice place. Super comfortable beds. Great air conditioning. Great bathrooms and showers. Very clean. The neighborhood is beautiful for walking and it’s a quick walk to the beach.
