Comfortable Room in Lovely Home, quick ride to NYC

I really enjoyed my stay at Karen and Doug’s home. The house is beautifully decorated and full of artistic touches. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed, and it was great to have a private bathroom. The shower had exceptionally strong water pressure! The neighborhood felt very safe, even late at night. I walked back from the subway alone around 11pm and felt totally fine. The location is also convenient, with several subway lines going straight into Manhattan. The best part was talking with Karen and Doug. Both of them are kind, thoughtful, and fun to chat with. I wish I had more time to talk with them. I’d love to stay here again next time I’m in New York, and hopefully continue some of those conversations we didn’t get to finish.

Amazing deal when it comes to cost/quality. Great place for those who want to have a comfortable stay and don’t mind the commute. The room (plus the additional room) feel spacious and almost like a whole separate apartment. Shared spaces (kitchen and bathroom) are clean and easy to use. I haven’t met Jennifer, only Jose a couple times, and it always felt like a very quiet and peaceful place to stay in. The place had all the necessities and you can see how the hosts thought of every little thing - thank you for that! The only thing I didn’t like much was the area - it does feel far if you take line 2 (line Q feels much faster). I didn’t feel very comfortable walking around late, but had no weird situations, so might be just my personal impressions. Overall, 100% recommend! The best value for price/quality!

Jazzmine met us at the door and gave us the warmest welcome into her apartment. From the start, she made us feel completely at home. She’s incredibly friendly and flexible and has lots of great recommendations to share. Meeting her dog Squish was an added bonus. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Janet place is definitely a 5 star location hands down! I would recommend anyone to request to book this location if they need somewhere to stay. I requested to book late and Janet I am so glad that she was able to accommodate me so late in the night. Very, very, very affordable for an apartment!!! This is definitely one of my favorite locations that I’ve been to. Any time I need somewhere to stay, I will definitely request to book Janet’s place.
