Holiday rentals with breakfast in Kandy

Fantastic home and some great help from Danuo and Praba who cooked some fantastic food and were always there to help and offer services and information . Praba was a great Caddy ! Overall a fantastic host, house helps and definitely recommend for families and friends coming to Victoria

Clarence's place is just wonderful! It is very spacious, airy, light, comfy and beautiful. All our family enjoyed staying at Clarence. He is a great host, always responding quick and making the best to please his guests. The other members of Clarence's family must be mentioned too. They all are very polite, friendly and hospitable. The balcony, which better be called a terrace, is huge and the view is stunning. Everything is great, highly recommended for families and people who prefer tranquility over a busy city. To call a taxi we used "pick me" app. It is very cheap and useful.

Wow! I have been traveling with AirBnB for 11 years now and have never had such a great experience. The slogan "Your second home" is not just a slogan, but a reality right from the start. I can only recommend this accommodation to everyone. From the facilities and service to the location, everything exceeded our expectations. In addition, Gampola is an authentic place where you can get to know Sri Lanka at its best in an oasis of tranquillity in the midst of different religions. Centrally located, Gampola offers a good starting point to discover the surrounding area, all the way to Kandy.

This is a 147 year old bungalow, and the stay was simply fantastic. We loved everything about the house and the host was fantastic to stay awake late in the night to welcome us after a tiring day for us. I would highly recommend this place to others.

We hebben zo genoten bij het verblijf van Damayanthi. Zij en haar man waren zo gastvrij en vriendelijk. We kregen veel tips en hulp als het nodig was. De kamers zijn mooi en het ontbijt lekker en goed. De plek is er fijne plek om aan te bevelen.

Our stay at Somaland was an incredible experience! We were treated like royalty yet felt completely relaxed and like at home. The colonial mansion is very beautiful. Impeccably preserved and kept, luxurious and comfortable, it’s huge and full of exquisite furnishings. Such a rare opportunity to be able to stay in such a magnificent residence with such history, surrounded by peaceful gardens and lush landscape. Our trip was only enhanced by the divine attention and service of Nilani and Gamage. They welcomed us into the home and looked after us like special family members. So thoughtful and kind and fun. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an extraordinary and wonderful experience. Pieter the host was incredibly helpful and attentive with many extra tips along the way. This property is ideally located near downtown Kandy, offering a peaceful riverfront setting surrounded by scenic walking paths, parks, and mountains. It’s the perfect spot for nature lovers and those wishing to explore Kandy’s natural beauty. The house is spacious, with four cozy bedrooms, two large living rooms, and a lovely balcony that overlooks the stunning river really worth the price we paid. It’s an excellent choice for families, groups, or friends. The host was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The overall vibe of the house was warm and inviting, and we felt right at home. The location is serene and safe, providing a great balance of nature and proximity to the conveniences of downtown. We truly loved our time here and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kandy. If we return, this will definitely be our go-to place to stay. The property was absolutely worth the price—clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all amenities. Amal (if I’ve spelled it right) assisted us really well throughout our stay. Just two small suggestions: the door in the bedroom behind the TV needs a bit of repair, and it would be great to add a sunlight-blocking curtain for that room’s balcony, as the morning sun was quite strong. Other than that, everything was excellent. Thanks for a great stay!

I stayed at Riverside for 3 weeks and it was a great stay. The apartment is situated a few km out of Kandy in a small village, which is great as you get to experience real Sri Lankan life, I found the villagers very friendly, often stopping to chat to me. The bus to Kandy is just 10 mins walk away. The apartment is lovely, very spacious and with a wonderful large balcony perfect for eating and working. There's an outside plug so you can plug in your laptop. Hiran and family are lovely, Hiran is happy to help with any problems and the breakfast cooked by his wife is delicious and different most days. I'd definitely recommend this apartment and I'd stay again also being a solo woman traveller I felt safe at all times.

Our host couple Indira and Lakshman are very attentive and helpful people whose hospitality comes from the heart. We stayed for six weeks in their beautiful house, which is situated in a lovely garden on a hill in Sirimalwatta. Our flat with kitchen and two bedrooms also has a terrace where we always had our meals as a family of four. We liked it so much that we will be staying here again temporarily on our next visit to Sri Lanka in the autumn. Lakshman also helped my husband a lot with one of his local projects and arranged an appointment for him with the local governor.

If only you could leave a bonus star on Airbnb. We felt fortunate for the opportunity to stay here. Truly an amazing place with a very friendly host. Highly recommend

This home is very unique the way it is built--sort of like a cylinder of 7 stories. It is an outstanding architectural design. Inside it is furnished so stylishly and COMFORTABLY!!! Mufi will answer any questions you have about Kandy and draw you maps of where you want to go. She will even number the places in the order you should go to them to make efficient use of your time. She has a "standard" tuk tuk driver she can call for you. His name is Sham and is very reliable. We would add for you to exercise a sense of humor when her husband visits with you.

Dilanthi is a Super host indeed !!! Olu Lodge is a lovely little place, located conveniently. The garden is beautiful and the place is nicely kept and very clean. Beds are comfortable. Dilanthi's food is delicious. She cooked lovely milk rice for us for breakfast and my son enjoyed it very much. Also both Dilanthi and Samantha spent a lot of their time chatting with us and we felt very comfortable with them. They are very kind, polite and understanding. I would certainly recommend her place to the future travellers. Thanks once again Dilanthi & Sam.

Sudesh's place is a dream! Super quiet with sourrounding jackfruit and palm trees. His mother and wife were cooking amazing sri lankan lunch and dinner for only a few dollars extra. The including breakfast with different type of fruit and baverages was really good. Sudesh is also owener of a tuktuk pick up which is really helpful to get into town. This homestay is defenetly recommended and is one of the prettiest we stayed at.

The team were amazing! Extremely kind and very much made us feel welcome. The location was beautiful and even with the rainy weather, we loved seeing it roll over the hills! The bed was comfy and the cold plunge bath was a great addition. There are a few ants (expected in nature) if you don’t disturb them and don’t eat sweet food in the room, they pay no attention! We loved it and would definitely come back!

Accommodation is lovely and cosy. Peaceful and private spot. Restaurant dinner is great value and delicious. Breakfast I thought was overpriced.

Ich war für eine Nächte in der Unterkunft und habe mich dort sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Räume waren äußerst sauber und Jayanta war ein großartiger Gastgeber. Er hat mir viele hilfreiche Tipps für Kandy gegeben. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer ist sehr schön! Das Zentrum von Kandy ist über Treppen in etwa 15-20 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Ich kann diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

The house is really nice, a two floors villa with garden. Accommodation is comfortable and in a good position to visit Kandy but far from the traffic. Joseph takes care of everything, he is super friendly and helpful (moreover he prepares a delicious local breakfast). The main room is big and located in the upper floor, while another room is available on the ground floor (this would need some small renovations), In the end, our stay was really pleasant and the place is totally recommended.

We had a beautiful stay at Thomasz lodge, the hosts were so kind and made us feel right at home, which is really what we needed after travelling for some time. We did a cooking class with them which was really interesting and the food was delicious, breakfast was great too. They spent time showing us around their garden and letting us taste different fruits that they were growing. Can’t recommend enough, worth being out of town for if you want to relax and have a peaceful stay.

Rajith and his family were warm, welcoming and kind! We felt right at home and Rajith even kindly took us to a tea factory and dropped us off at the train station on our check out day. Would absolutely come back and stay again 👍
