House holiday rentals in Kamigyo Ward

Great location by train station, very walkable and lots of stores and mall near station. Very quiet neighborhood. Clean and authentic living space. Would stay there again!

The location is excellent. It is hardly a 5 minute walk to Shin osaka station. There are lots of shop and restaurants nearby the house. There was only one minor inconvenience. The floors were really squeaky, once our kid slept even tip toing didn’t help to prevent the noise from walking on floor. But as she slept like a log after tiring day it didn’t wake her up. Even the kitchen chairs etc seemed a bit outdated and were a bit loose and squeaky. There is only one bathroom and one western toilet.

A great place a bit out the way, I would definitely stay again .I would recommend to rent a car or a bicycle to get back at night. the local Transit shuts down 8ish. but a very nice place. just look for all the boats.

Beautiful traditional place, refurbished to a high quality, in a picturesque quiet residential neighbourhood. Special experience to stay somewhere like this. Would strongly recommend getting bikes though since it’s not near a metro station, as you’ll need to travel for the sites and for places to eat and drink. You’ll also need to consider if you will dislike all the door heights being low, or the ceiling lamps. I hit my head a number of times - but that’s just a fact for the style of place not a fault of this property.

Beautiful home that blends modern and traditional Japanese architecture. Every light is a dimmable LED on the main floor, and we appreciated the glass-walled garden at the center. Upstairs we only used the main room room, but everything is tatami mats and shoji screens so it's very peaceful.

Really the best place we have ever stayed at! The airbnb has been arranged very thoughtfully and is extremely luxurious!

We really loved this home. Cozy, Japanese style with modern ammenities nicely integrated into the house style. Neighborhood was very nice. Quiet alleway separated the busy (but still small feel) Fushimi-Inari tourist spot. Host was also great to communicate with and very helpful. Overall, would highly recommend and made ourKyoto stay very memorable.

I don’t always review but this home is just so incredibly beautiful. It is updated and thoughtful without losing the integrity of the beautiful old home. It is spacious and well laid out with incredibly thoughtful touches. I am sure this place to stay will be the highlight of our entire trip to Japan.

From the moment we stepped through the door, we were enamored by this place. Kozo and the rest of the team were so welcoming and hospitable— walking us through every detail, providing recommendations, and take the time to learn about our travel needs. They provided more amenities than I have ever experienced at an Airbnb (skincare products, delicious snacks, and more). I could not have dreamed of a more picturesque place to spend my time in Kyoto. The neighborhood is quiet, local, with several good food options nearby and a stunning shrine just minutes walk away. It felt like we had warped back in time. We actually teared up as we closed the door to move onto our next destination.

We loved our stay at Kasumi’s beautiful traditional Japanese home. It offered an authentic cultural experience with all the modern comforts. Just a short walk to Kinkaku-ji (the Golden Pavilion), the location was perfect. Kasumi was an exceptional host—thoughtful, responsive, and incredibly kind, even bringing toys and treats for our daughters. Highly recommend!

Staying at Akane’s home was amazing. Our group of 6 fit comfortably and took advantage of the provided sleeping mats to convert the living room into an additional bedroom. Akane & staff were very proactive in their communication & seriously ready to assist or requests with any questions we had. The home was very beautiful & had a nice amount of space for our group, as well as quick access to the city bus lines. Would highly recommend!

Saki was a great host & we really enjoyed our stay. The place was nicely decorated and well kept in a nice quiet area, although hard to find initially, but the house handbook provided really helped with find the place. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Saki :)

I highly recommend staying at Mamoru’s wonderful home Nachiya. It was the highlight of our trip in many ways, personally. My 5yo daughter and I stayed here for two nights during our week in Japan, and we had some time to stay at the property and recover on the first afternoon, thanks to a last minute reschedule. We had been so busy for the tree days prior in Tokyo. Mamoru is a great host and a good man. I found him easy to understand, he was incredibly helpful upon check-in, and twice again when I needed advice (including getting lost via google maps on the way home from dinner). He takes great pride in his property and it’s definitely a place to be respected as well as enjoyed by every guest. The photos speak for themselves, but being there in person is even better. It’s a big place, and we only really used the main bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and laundry. However, I still enjoyed admiring the Zen garden/s, ceremony room, the cobble streets, everything. Just awesome.
