Family-friendly holiday rentals in Kalutara

Gayana’s place was everything we hoped for and more! We were staying for a multi day wedding nearby and needed a clean easy place to sleep and get ready. Gayana and her lovely housekeeper ensured we had everything we needed and more! Including a delicious breakfast every day and assistance to one of the guests who has a visual impairment, which was so kind and appreciated. Beautiful house with a lovely pool - couldnt recommend more!

The Palm Beach Villa was absolutely amazing! Piyal, the house manager, was waiting for us at the airport, and drove us to the Villa, even tho we arrived early in the morning. There was a wonderful breakfast waiting for us upon our arrival. Piyal and Sujami took such great care of us during the day, and Sumith was there all night, which made us feel very safe. We weren't expecting the high level of pampering we received from the 3 of them. It really made our stay truly relaxing. The Villa and grounds are beautiful! The dogs were an added surprise, and were definitely part of the experience :) The pool was heavenly! The beach was right there!!! and was so beautiful and virtually empty! Watching and helping with the morning fishermen was an experience we will never forget! The location is so private, but close enough to many of the island's attractions. Piyal was a gracious host, driver, and AMAZING cook!!! Sujami was so sweet and helpful. Sumith was great! Will def be back!

One of our best holidays . The place was so peaceful and beautiful. The host Isuri and caretaker Shelton are really nice and helpful. We had a very relaxing weekend with our friends. This is really a hidden gem in the busy town of Moratuwa . Thank you !

A picture perfect location by the river very close to Kalutara town. You can't swim in the river but the beaches to swim are not far away. A spacious house with a large varendah and a lovely garden overlooking the river to relax in. It is always breezy, keeping you cool when it is pretty warm outside. We spent all our waking hours out there, not inside the house. The house is well equipped to prepare your own meals and many shops are nearby to purchase whatever you need. There are lots of tuk tuks to get around and the town centre is very close to catch a bus or a train. With the expressway it is easier to get to Kalutara.

Здравствуйте мы отдыхали в этом домике с 4 июня по 7 июля. Дом соответствует описанию есть кухня газовая плита, необходимая посуда,холодильник. Хорошая территория с небольшими насаждениями,но очень красивыми которые действительно нужно поливать))) Алена постаралась сделать наше прибывание приятным украсив стены красивыми картинами.Пляж в шаговой доступности где мы каждое утро делали пробежку и купались с наслаждением в океане.Рядом рынок, ж/д вокзал ,автобусная остановка.Очень удачное расположение. Я благодарна помощнику Алены Даммика который беспрекословно выполнял все наши пожелания.Хочу сказать огромное спасибо Алене за предоставленную нам возможность отдохнуть в ее уютном с положительной энергетикой доме. Сказать честно нас было 4 человека и ни кто не хотел уезжать.Отдых был замечательным ,сказочным. Ласковый океан ,божественная атмосфера,добрые люди.Я хочу вернуться.я обязательно еще вернусь сюда.

Everything was great! The location is super convenient, it's close to the nice beach, some restaurants, train station, bus stops. The host is responding very quickly and provided all we asked. In addition, he helped us to arrange river safari. The apartment itself was really great: a lot of space, nice and stylish, with kitchen and terrace. One small disadvantage: it's very close to the school and it's a bit noisy in weekdays mornings, but for us it wasn't a problem. But if quietness is important for you, mind this.

We are volunteers in a school and have been stayed for this house for 11 nights. It's a modern, clean, and very warm home for us. Importantly, the price was not that high. Very very very good house and the owner are so kind to talk. Very good experience.

We stayed at Bliss Villa for 17 nights and it was amazing. Villa is big and has its own territory with jungles and a personal pool. The place is located near Kande Vihara (the temple with the big Budda), Morgalla beach is a 10-15 minutes walk, and Bentota beach is 10 min ride on Tuk-Tuk. Special thanks to De Silva, the landlord of the villa, who met us at the airport, recommended places to visit and even visited them with us. We together visited Yala park, ocean fishing, and lots of other authentic local places. We really enjoyed the time spent together and learn a lot about Sri Lanka. We can recommend you to stay at the villa if you are looking for a calm place in the jungles near the ocean.

This place blew our mind. A very stylish place with amazing hosts. We were the first guests in this place and we enjoyed every second of it. We were welcomed with a drink and food so we felt welcome straight away. I would recommend this place especially to couples who need some rest and peace. It is a bit far away from everything so make sure that you have a scooter or other transportation.

Diese Unterkunft hat unsere Erwartungen genau erfüllt. Wir fühlten uns sofort wohl und haben die Gelegenheit zum Entspannen sehr genossen. Dazu beigetragen hat auch der große Pool und der nette Hausangestellte Aruna. Er fuhr uns mit seinem Tuktuk wohin wir wollten und überraschte uns während des Aufenthaltes immer wieder mit kleinen Gesten. Am Abreisetag kochte er sogar ein hervorragendes Mittagessen für uns. Der flexible Checkin und Checkout waren für uns ebenfalls ein großer Pluspunkt. Wir können diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen und würden auch jederzeit wieder dort buchen. A private and comfortable home, centrally located, quiet street with walking access to beautiful beaches, shopping, restaurants and temple. Great value and excellent hosts...highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time in a caring environment. The bungalow was lovely as was the pool. A perfect place for nature lovers. Our hosts were wonderful and made the experience very special. A charming place to relax and enjoy a beautiful getaway.

Really enjoyed our time at VHB, we rented this Airbnb for my bachelor party, and the hosts along with the staff went above and beyond to make sure that it was a success! Clean place and well maintained.

We were here for our 25th Anniversary. This beautiful place is a peaceful oasis to relax and recharge. You could want for nothing. Senaka and his crew went above and beyond to make our Sri Lankan experience special and to always be warmly remembered. The staff anticipated and accommodated all of our requests. The food was amazing, and the tours fun, immersive, and informative. Meals were amazing, you will definitely not go hungry! Their breakfast was beautiful and ever changing. We had them do dinners for us and they were amazing, fresh and tasty. The team that takes care of you are truly what sets this apart! I miss all of them already. Contact the host if interested in touring the country and he can assist with some great tours! Highly recommended!

Wir waren mit unserm zweijährigen Sohn unterwegs und haben uns ab dem ersten Tag wie zu Hause gefühlt in unsere Cabana. Wir hatten die große Cabana und somit reichlich Platz. Der Garten ist wunderschön angelegt und der Pool, gerade für Kleinkinder, ideal. Das Frühstück wurde immer frisch zubereitet und auf alle unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Steffie, Dilly und das komplette Personal waren mehr als zuvorkommend und superfreundlich. Unser Kleiner hatte viel Spaß mit allen. Geliebt hat er vor allem den Garten, den Pool und die Haushunde. Es war eine rundum gelungene Sache. Ruhige Lage und trotzdem mit dem TucTuc schnell am Strand. Gerne wieder mal!

My Stay was incredible! The lake views were stunning, and the traditional charm of the place made for a unique and memorable stay. The stay was clean, spacious, and full of character. Highly recommend for a special getaway!

Ben was incredibly responsive. The cottage is a bit tricky to find but Ben was very helpful and spoke to our taxi driver to help us find it. The place is very nice and just like the photos. Very clean and the staff were super helpful. It’s about 20 minute walk into town but easy to get a tuk tuk which makes it a 5 minute journey.
