Holiday rentals with breakfast in Kalutara

The Palm Beach Villa was absolutely amazing! Piyal, the house manager, was waiting for us at the airport, and drove us to the Villa, even tho we arrived early in the morning. There was a wonderful breakfast waiting for us upon our arrival. Piyal and Sujami took such great care of us during the day, and Sumith was there all night, which made us feel very safe. We weren't expecting the high level of pampering we received from the 3 of them. It really made our stay truly relaxing. The Villa and grounds are beautiful! The dogs were an added surprise, and were definitely part of the experience :) The pool was heavenly! The beach was right there!!! and was so beautiful and virtually empty! Watching and helping with the morning fishermen was an experience we will never forget! The location is so private, but close enough to many of the island's attractions. Piyal was a gracious host, driver, and AMAZING cook!!! Sujami was so sweet and helpful. Sumith was great! Will def be back!

I was absolutely delighted with my stay at Duminda's place. I had the entire top floor of the building to myself. It is spacious, well-designed, and nicely furnished. Duminda was very helpful by meeting me at the train station with his friend Samantha, who drives a tuktuk. During my time there, I was able to hire Samantha to take me to the Bawa sites that I wanted to see. If that is what you are after, I highly recommend him. I would not hesitate for a moment recommending Duminda's home. I would happily return if I am in the area again.

N is a very humble host. He is very helpful, very transparent and does his utmost best to serve his guests to create a magical stay experience. N took care of us as though we were his closed family members giving us a feeling that we were back home. I cannot express enough my sincere gratitude and appreciate to this fine gentleman whom I want to call as brother rather than a host. His breakfast serving for us is fit for a King! I would recommend to stay in this property if you want to be in good hands.

My husband and I stayed here for a whole month. First of all we want to say that we feel very grateful to the family because they were always willing to help us in any situation. For example one time we got sick during our trip and the family was always aware of our health and attended us in the best way. They also gave us recommendations on how to move around the area and places that could be interesting to visit. On the other hand we can say that the place is very nice, clean and comfortable. We like to have experiences close to local life and being there allowed us to enjoy quiet days away from the tourist hotspots but not so far as to be able to easily go to interesting places such as different beaches, jungles, temples, among others. The breakfasts were varied and all delicious. Also many nights we decided to pay extra for dinner which we must say was everytime delicious and budget friendly. We can highly recommend it staying here and hope to return soon. Cathy & Philipp

One of our best holidays . The place was so peaceful and beautiful. The host Isuri and caretaker Shelton are really nice and helpful. We had a very relaxing weekend with our friends. This is really a hidden gem in the busy town of Moratuwa . Thank you !

When planning my trip to the South Province of Sri Lanka I was looking for an authentic, calm, modern, clean and one of a kind accommodation. The BoBo's Cinnamon Estate Duwabedda met more then my expectations. I am still dreaming of the soft breeze, the shy smell of cinnamon, the peacocks who visited us before heading to the next lot (this time a rice field), the smooth awakening early in the morning (gentle prayers of the Buddhist monks from far away, early morning songs of the birds...), the lovely Ceylon tea, the host's topless tuk tuk that brought us to the sea side, Galle and other destinations, and so much more... Catrin and Bharatha were caring and loving hosts. They were present yet discreet. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

My stay at Priyanka's place was truly exceptional. The hosts were incredibly friendly, caring, and supportive, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. They went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, offering thoughtful touches and local recommendations that made my experience even more special. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax, and their genuine hospitality truly stood out. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a stay with a personal and caring touch!

While the accommodation itself was perfect, the real selling point for this stay is the hosts. They are the most lovely hosts I’ve ever had, attending to all of our needs and very communicative. Please do yourself a favour and stay here! 10/10

Love this place, Kumara is a really nice guy who will help you with anything and give ideas of what to do during your stay. He is a very welcoming man 👍 Apartment is really clean and modern, with also a very reasonable price for the stay. Cannot complain with this place at all. Thank you to Kumara for our stay.

Bernhard and Roni were the perfect host , very caring and they both have a great sense of humour . We had a great time with them . Their local knowledge is second to none and they made us very welcome . If you love fish , fresh catch is available just 5 mins away . The beach is just behind the fish stalls and very peaceful where no touts will hassle you . Most morning you can see the fishermen haul their catch in and sitting on the beach watching them go about their day to day business is so nice . Enjoy your stay with Bernhard and Roni and their Sri lankan breakfast is just amazing .

Everything was really great! The owner is very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable, very new and clean. Location is good, just few minutes walk to the ocean. Highly recommend!

The accommodation was as described and shown in the pictures, which we appreaciated. The staff was the sweetest, always happy to help! We liked the breakfasts and our room with a nice view. The place is not located directly by any beach but there was a possibility to take a boat to a pool and a beach (free of charge). We got help with airport transfer as well. The only thing was that the WiFi worked exclusively in lobby and restaurant area, no chance for connection in the room. Otherwise highly recommended, thank you!

Lucky's place is unique. Nowhere did we feel as at home as with him. His wife cooks amazing food, his kids are really sweet and help out wherever they can. The dad, too, always had a smile on his face. The beach is 100m away and Lucky always has a tip ready. He explains a lot about his country & is also very interested in yours. We'd return to this place anytime. 100% recommended.

Edna and Alfons were the warmest hosts you could only ask for! We felt comfortable from the beginning, had a cozy room, the food was super delicious and varied. Here you really experience the original Sri Lanka, away from the tourist paths - and also get to know great, interesting people (other guests, Edna and Alfons, who always have something exciting to tell about their life in the jungle, as well as the nice staff at the lodge). Alfons has taken a hike through the rainforest with us and 2 other guests - absolutely worth it! Also in the morning yoga or a massage at Edna's place I can only recommend it. We had really great days (and didn't want to leave)! 1000 thanks to you two, we will definitely be back!

Beautiful! Better than expected and such a wonderful family.

We recommend a stay at Sanka's villa to every Sri Lanka traveler. We spent the last week of our trip there to relax and reflect on the stations of our round trip. For this, hardly any other accommodation is as suitable as Sankarest. The place itself is beautiful and very well maintained. Each of the room has an additional shaded porch outside the front door. The rooms are cleaned daily and carefully maintained, as well as the pool area. But the family, friendly atmosphere in which you feel incredibly comfortable, is the clear highlight. The whole family and the other helping hands are extremely helpful and always open and responsive when it comes to excursion tips and any other concerns. The food is cooked with a lot of love. The beach is only two minutes from the villa, but is right there but not suitable for swimming, but 300m further you can swim wonderfully. On to Kosgoda!

I was in Bentota for a wedding and stayed with Lex two nights. Lex's place is well worth the price. I felt Lex and his wife really went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable: they offered me tea when I arrived, they provided breakfast both mornings, and they even loaned me an adapter when I discovered I didn't have the right one (Sri Lanka has Type D and Type G plugs). My request was last minute and they were so responsive and eager to help. The AC worked perfectly and the room was exactly as described and as shown in the photos. It was very quiet at night with truly beautiful vistas during the day. You can walk to the beach and train station and post office easily from here; plus, there's an Ayurvedic massage center just around the corner. If you're looking to stay a while in Bentota, I highly recommend Lex's place.
