Campsite holiday rentals in Kalahari Desert

I loved my stay at Askiesbos! I was here for a month to conduct research in Nxamasere. I arrived much later in the day than I originally estimated, but Dammann and Hettie stayed in close contact with me and Dammann was waiting for me at the gate to welcome me upon arrival. They were extremely hospitable and made me feel very comfortable during my stay. They also supported my research by allowing me to use the beautiful lounge area for some of my data elicitation sessions (not to mention providing a reliable internet connection and power source, which goes a long way in my field!). The chef, Titi, cooks fantastic food that feels like dining out at a restaurant. I would definitely recommend staying here for vacations or for work.

Staff was so helpful, restaurant was a welcome convenience after a long days travel!

An absolute gem! Unspoilt nature in rustic yet extremely comfortable, well maintained and clean accommodation. Although power sources are solar and gas, you still have all the comforts of home - just better because it is so amazingly quiet and peaceful…and the stars…oh, my goodness…incredible night sky!!

The permanent tent was perfect, beautiful view of the forest, infinity pool, a unique, quiet, perfect place. We only stayed one night, but the place deserves a longer stay for those who like tranquility, walking in the forest, mountain biking or horseback riding. Horses are on site and the rides are very affordable. Erika and Markus are fantastic hosts. We are more than delighted.

We were absolutely stunned about the amazing place, location and pool. It was even better that what we expected. It was peaceful and quiet and only an hour to Etosha. The host couple are friendly, patient and helpful and gave us fine hints for our visit to the Etosha park. We can fully recommend the place and would definitely love to come back and stay much longer!

Claudea's place was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed and linen was really wonderful and comfortable. The shower was also fabulous. It certainly provided all we needed for a comfortable self-catering stay. Being part of a busy service station provided opportunities to order in meals form the fast food restaurant. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend Claudea's place for people visiting Tsumeb.
