Amazing stay, pictures do not do justice to this place. Great host with very clear instructions. Will definitely be coming back for stargazing and the Jacuzzi.

I had the most incredible weekend stay at Mahina Treehouse in Mangawhai. The space is absolutely stunning and surrounded by nature. It was the perfect escape to explore Mangawhai. The entire space felt so peaceful and private also great to have the Pizza Oven and Spa. Kiki was a wonderful host — clear communication and made sure everything was perfect for my stay. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Linda was friendly, helpful & a great host, allowing us to arrive early on short notice & kindly offering a few extra hours on our last day. We enjoyed the stay very much w the serene private backyard & outdoor bath. Great access to the township & local pub just a stroll out the backgate! Highly recommend!

I am beyond grateful for the extraordinarily beautiful home and the extra mile the hosts go to ensure a comfortable and safe stay. A weather event tried to hinder our setting but we were so safe and very secure. They gave us use of a vehicle to access the property safely. Breakfast was supplied for us and it was better than a continental buffet. With everything coming from local sources. Cant say enough to express our gratitude. That spa though.....OMG 😍 so good. Could have slept in there. Highly recommend. Im definitely booking again.

Sheryl and Ian were very warm and friendly hosts with good recommendations for local coffee and places of interest. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and loved the cute cabin details, books and artwork. The outdoor kitchen was adequate for cooking meals and the spa added a nice touch of relaxing luxury.

I enjoyed my stay, extremely quiet being miles off a main road. water views with a friendly host allowing you access to all of the rural land.

We had a wonderful stay at Karen’s cabin. The place was spotless, cozy, and perfect for the two of us. We especially loved the peaceful surroundings and the beautiful view through the large windows — it was exactly the quiet escape we were looking for. The location was also ideal, just a short drive to town and the beach. Highly recommended!

Tracy was super accommodating. Went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The continental breakfast was lovely and we really enjoyed the rustic vibe with the decor and beautiful surroundings on the farm. We would love to come back. Really enjoyed our stay at Clive’s place. He was a great host with lots of good recommendations. Pataua south is a beautiful location and we hope to be back. Cabin was just what we needed and very tidy. Perfect spot for a dog and the beach is only 10m outside of your own private gate!

Maggie, is an amazing host, super thoughtful and kind. We loved the outdoor bath and piano and location is perfect with a great Mexican joint very nearby. Sean and Becs are outstanding hosts, and the cabin (particularly it's location) exceeded our expectations. We are walking Te Araroa and stopped here for a rest day- so had no vehicle. Sean was more than happy to take us to the shops (5km away) when they were heading that way and dropped us back to the trail when we left. They offered us veges from the garden, helpful advice and were all 'round great hosts and really nice people. The location is amazing and not mentioned much in the listing- the cabin looks out over a grapevines and a sloping lawn to the harbour. It's peaceful and relaxing, and the shower (in a small separate cabin ) is excellent. We didn't use the sauna but it is located right on the waters edge. Highly recommended!

Such an incredibly beautiful and private spot right by the water, with breathtaking views from sunrise to sunset. The Bird Box is also perfectly formed, thoughtfully kitted out with every amenity - it’s absolutely gorgeous inside and out. We feel so very lucky we got to stay here, have a hot cuppa on the deck as the day dawns or after a wonderful day of adventure in around the area - there’s so much to explore. Maxine’s a great host too and made us feel so welcome ❤️ we absolutely loved our stay!
