I'm located on the south side & on a great bus route which runs day & night & takes approx 20-25 mins to the city centre. I also have street parking & plenty of shops/amenities closeby. I highly recommend Claire as a host. She goes above and beyond to give her guests a nice, enjoyable and relaxing stay. On my first day of arrival, she thoughtfully took me to local supermarket, so I could buy basics for breakfast etc. She also showed me where the bus stop was too. Claire lives in a very quiet area and the bus stop is only a 5 minute walk. So the best of both worlds…quiet, calm and relaxing place to chill and a short walk and short bus ride to city centre to explore Edinburgh. Claire gave me a key during my stay, so had the freedom to come and go as I pleased. I really enjoyed my stay with Claire. She’s so lovely, friendly and helpful. We got on really well straight away. The bedroom and en-suite bathroom were even better than the photos. The bed in particular was very comfortable . The price paid was amazing value too. I’ll definitely been staying with Claire again when I visit Edinburgh again.

Elaine is a great host. She's kind, a free spirit and has two lovely dogs. We has a little hiccup at the start, but Elaine fixed everything in no time. The bed was okay, the bathroom is large and there is great parking space.

Every morning started with a delicious breakfast, and we really enjoyed the engaging and friendly conversations in the beautiful garden. The bed was incredibly comfortable—pure bliss after a day of exploring. This is truly a place we’d love to return to

The village of Colinton is beautiful. The little room I had in Anne Marie’s house was gorgeous, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Anne Marie was a wonderful host and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Colinton is a wonderfully peaceful place to return to after a busy day exploring the city of Edinburgh. I highly recommend this accommodation 💕🙏🏼

We felt very lucky to have found this hidden gem of a place! While it is some distance away from the main city area of Edinburgh, it's very well-connected with frequent buses running along the route. Mike's place was clean and cosy, and he went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and welcomed us into his home. Both Mike and Basa were super friendly and easy to be around, and by the end of our stay we both felt that our trip was too short! A big thanks to Mike and Basa for their hospitality and generosity, and we'd highly recommend this place to anyone else visiting Edinburgh ☺️ Will definitely also be back if we're ever in Edinburgh again
