Holiday rentals in Juignac

Have just had a fabulously relaxing & enjoyable stay at Louise’s home. The house was wonderful - spacious & beautifully decorated. The rooms were perfect for our needs with good storage (wardrobe & drawers) & very comfy beds. We also really appreciated the small touches such as lovely handwash soaps left in the bathrooms & decent sized, good quality towels. We felt right at home immediately - the kitchen was a great size and well stocked in terms of kitchenware - plenty of everything, from pans to glasses to coffee machines (traditional Italian hob style and electric pod Nespresso). The setting was perfect for us - private, surrounded by fields of sunflowers & only a couple of very discrete neighbouring houses. A boulangerie was only a 10min drive away. The garden, with its beautiful shaded seating area & swimming pool were much enjoyed. Louise was so friendly and helpful from my first contact, that I began to relax into holiday mode immediately. This is a lovely rental.

We had the pleasure of staying in one of Meg and Mark’s gîtes with our 2 teenage daughters for 4 nights. I had no hesitation in booking the gite having seen how beautiful it looked on the website and reading the glowing reviews both on the website and on Airbnb. On arrival we received a warm welcome from Meg and Mark who showed us around the gîte and the grounds. The gîte itself is just beautiful. It is absolutely spotless and exceptionally well equipped. The beds were super comfortable made even better by the high quality bedding. The grounds and gardens are very well kept and the pool is stunning with great views of the surrounding countryside - it was a big hit as was the hot tub in our private garden! To top it off, Meg and Mark are the most fantastic warm, friendly and welcoming hosts but always respectful of our privacy. Thank you Meg and Mark for a truly memorable few days and for your fantastic hospitality. Chez Lussaud is an absolute gem and is a credit to you!

We loved our holiday at Maison des Abeilles. We were there with our family, including 3 grandchildren aged 9, 7 and 5 months. The house is a good family house, comfortable, very well equipped and welcoming. The kitchen and bathrooms are a little dated but all is clean, the beds are very comfortable with nice linen. The two covered terraces, one facing east, the other west, with dining tables and chairs are great. The garden is spacious and private, the heated pool, approx 12x6m, is perfect. Nearby, beautiful Aubeterre sur Dronne is a lovely village. The local area is rural, unspoilt and very peaceful. We enjoyed some local walks from the house. There was an issue with the drains during our stay. Chris responded immediately and quickly arranged appropriate help. All was sorted quickly. We would happily return.

Nous avons passé 3 excellentes nuits dans le logement. Il correspondait parfaitement aux photos et à nos attentes. Les terrasses privatives sont très spacieuses et offrent un point de vue superbe et paisible. Le poêle à bois chauffe très bien, et la cuisine est très bien équipée. De plus Lesley avait pris soin de nous laisser un panier de bienvenue, ainsi que diverses choses comme du sucre et du café au cas où nous en aurions eu besoin. Nous avons très bien dormi et profité du lieu calme pendant notre séjour. Merci encore pour l'accueil.

In the 40+ places I have stayed on Airbnb, Steph’s is one of the very best. A huge and private space, beautifully and artistically decorated and furnished, full of quirky decor, and the most lovely welcome. From freshly cut flowers from Steph’s garden, arranged in a vase, a little posy of fresh herbs in a vase in the kitchen, dinner and breakfast for your first night/morning provided, big fluffy towels, amazing shower, the list goes on. The outdoor space is divine. I spent a lazy afternoon watching swallows dipping in and out of the pool and butterflies everywhere. The sweeping views of the valley are so calming. It was unseasonably cold when we were there and Steph very thoughtfully messaged to check we had enough firewood (we did, so well stocked). Steph & Dave were amazing hosts, gave us complete privacy but so friendly and easy to chat to when we saw them when we were coming and going. Perfect for couples or for young families, I really hope we get the opportunity to return.

Our stay was great! Derk and his wife were very attentive and warm hosts, who welcome us and explained all about the region. The house corresponds to the pictures: it is beautiful, comfortable and cozy, has all the needed appliances for a pleasant stay in the countryside. Bathroom and shower are really good quality, living room extremely comfortable with a nice woodfire and the TV is actually larger than you can tell from the pictures. The garden is the highlight of the house, with a stunning view and a relaxing outside area for meals. The villages in the region are nice, with little shops, restaurants and sight seeing. Great recommendation for relaxing vacations! We would definitely like to stay in the Gite again in the future :) (and we love Ramsi, the golden retriever). Thank you Derk and family, we had a great time!

Un grand week-end qui nous a laissé sur un petit nuage. Le logement est accueillant et le petit jardin charmant. Aubeterre est à 10 minutes à pieds. Tout est proche : le canoë, la baignade, les ceramistes, les restaurants, l'église souterraine. Merci à Marion pour son accueil et ses bons plans !

Nous avons passé une nuit "d'étape " dans ce gîte, la piscine a été très agréable , grand calme... Sylvie très gentille et arrangeante pour les horaires. Son mari et leur fils charmants. Le gîte est un peu "vieillot" mais on y serait bien restés qq jours de plus pour profiter de la piscine, du jardin et du calme !!
