Holiday rentals with a kayak in John H. Kerr Reservoir

We had a wonderful experience at Christina’s lakehouse. It’s a wonderful place for two families to share many memories. If you are renting a boat or you have a boat, it’s easy to dock. They have a bunch of games in the front room to keep the kids busy. And many places to eat and just look at the beautiful scenery.

This home was perfect! We needed something accessible since my husband is in a wheelchair and this was perfect. Dock was easily accessible, doors were wide enough and there was a ramp leading to the entrance. Shawn was very helpful and responsive. He made us feel welcome and like he was there for anything we may have needed. Would definitely stay here again.

This was our second time staying at The Wilde Retreat and it was fabulous, once again! It’s clean, comfortable, and the view is unbeatable. We are already looking forward to our next trip.

We had family coming in for our wedding and needed extra space due to some last minute changes. Our family had nothing but positive things to say about Sarah’s home. It was beautiful, spotless, and everyone had plenty of space. They were very responsive and kind, and even informed us that we could check in earlier than expected. It was a great stay! If you are looking for a beautiful and peaceful retreat for a large group of family or friends Adrian’s Lake House is a great choice. The house is spotless and well equipped and the lake view is amazing!

Katie was a great host. She was very responsive to any and all questions and went out of her way to make sure everything was comfortable and enjoyable.

Beautiful place with great amenities. The lake is beautiful, pool is nice, and elevator comes in handy for families or older parents. The balconies are pretty and it’s peaceful and a great getaway.

We had a wonderful stay at Liza’s place on Lake Gaston for our first family vacation. The home was clean, well-equipped, and perfectly set up for a relaxing getaway. The lake access was ideal, and we loved spending time on the dock and enjoying the peaceful views. Communication with Liza was smooth, and everything was exactly as described. It was the perfect spot to unwind and make memories—we’d definitely come back!

We had a great time at the Cottage! The lake was beautiful to kayak on and the general environment was very relaxing. The host was super kind and great with communication! Will definitely stay again if we come back to the area!

We enjoyed everything about the property- the beautiful and well kept yard, swinging bench, Adirondack chairs, fire pit, kayaks, and fishing directly from the lake at the yard front and from the pier. The two porches, enclosed and screen, were fabulous, and allowed us the spectacular view of the lake at all times. We were very comfortable there and enjoyed our time immensely.

We had a great time paddle boarding the lake and chilling on the screened porch. Went out for drinks to buoys to break up the stay.

Jeff’s place was perfect for our weekend getaway! Great location, close to the campground. The dock was a lifesaver as the weather wasn’t great but sitting on the dock with a blanket and a coffee (or beer) was extremely peaceful! We will be back!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the hideaway. It was peaceful, the home was exceptionally clean, and it had everything we could ever need and more! The boathouse was so perfect with optimal shade all day and outstanding fishing, we caught a 21” catfish and many massive bass. There weren’t as many bugs as one would expect being in the woods, but we did love the screened patio and the screened room down on the dock. I would recommend this beautiful home to anyone!

Marc and Maryann place was great! Right on the river beautiful boat dock. We had two boats and 4 cars all fit perfectly. House was clean and we all felt right at home. We will be back again in the future.

Had a great weekend at the cabin. We have rented a few cabins on hyco lake and this location was probably our favorite. Fishing was fantastic and we found a resturant nearby that was, a little pricy, but amazing steak. It was the closest steak house when you google "steak near me". We spent hours down at the dock house and when inside the cabin, the coffee bar and couch called my name often lol.

WOW!! Everything about this property is just WOW!! We’ve stayed at our fair share of Airbnb/Vrbo properties & this one takes the cake! Lanni has literally thought of EVERYTHING! All you need to bring is food, sunscreen & your clothes 😊 The rest is taken care of! Everything is labeled, organized & super clean. The neighborhood is so beautiful & peaceful and it was so lovely to be immersed in nature. There are so many fun activities at the house available for guest use and even with small kiddos, we had something fun to do all day! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property & Lanni—who was also amazing to work with & made things so simple—we would definitely stay again!

very nice place to stay I love the I enjoyed it it was worth my money only thing just need blinds in the bathroom and the bedroom doors need locks other than that lovely nice beautiful place to stay

Fantastic cabin in the woods. Huge back deck overlooking the water. Bedrooms were nice size and nicely decorated. There were great little touches such as a basket of chips at the door many different options for coffee, ground or keurig. Honestly it’s exactly what me and my wife are looking for when we retire.

We had great time with family and it was a perfect location. The area was very quiet!

I rented this place for my first solo trip. I couldn’t have picked a better spot! From the secluded private yard, to the hot tub, to the beautiful area. I had such a wonderful birthday and a wonderful first trip on my own! I will absolutely be coming back!

We totally recommend staying here, it was so lovely! The view was beautiful and in such a cute spot. Lisa was so friendly and sweet and we really appreciate how understanding and accommodating she was with us. We definitely will return!
