The location was perfect, especially being so close to our whānau whare, which made our stay even more meaningful. Every detail had been thoughtfully considered, from the cosy layout to the immaculate presentation. The hosts were incredible – welcoming, kind, and genuinely caring. Their message after our stay made us feel so appreciated, and it’s clear they put their hearts into what they do. Bummer we didn’t get to use the pool this time, but we’ll definitely be back for another stay! If you're looking for a place that feels like a true home away from home, surrounded by beauty and manaakitanga, this is it. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful and uplifting getaway. We had a wonderful refreshing stay at Danielle's home. Everything was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Every room had large picture frame windows looking out onto the most amazing immediate view of community enjoying the beach in all manner of ways. We loved staying at Danielle's home it was a real highlight.

Great place, handy to the University and the cable car to get down to the city. Perfect for what we needed.

Absolutely love the place. It would be great to have a heat pump to warm the place up for safety reasons especially when taking children or toddlers. The dryer did take a long time to dry washing but still recommend this place to anyone who is travelling to Wellington for a weekend away or for work.

We’ve stayed at a lot of wonderful places in our many travels around the world and this place is at the very top of the list! We have never stayed at any location more beautiful nor more secluded nor more welcoming. Champagne on arrival and continental breakfast and fixings in the fridge and in the cabinet. The house is incredible and the hospitality is outstanding. Would highly recommend getting a chef’s dinner as it was remarkable and delicious particularly when paired with Man of War wine. Definitely take the morning walk and take full advantage of the bathtub. We had a bath every single night as the stars appeared in the sky, and it was the most romantic and wonderful thing I think either one of us can remember. In addition to all of that wonderful playlists were available for music and such a beautifully appointed home with comfortable beds (Nothing else to say really other than we really hope to come back someday soon and experience the treasure once again!).

The property is very central to the main street with restaurants and activities, only a short walk and was very close to brewtown which was great for us as I had an event there. The host is very responsive and accommodating, we will definitely be checking availability here next time we are in the area.

We had a great stay here. The house is lovely and has great views over the water. We had our own car and access to all parts of Wellington was easy. We’re quite a bit fitter for the walk up the stairs each day, but the cable car access is great also.

Homely apartment with everything you need. Had a lovely 7 stay at Rhys's apartment it was the perfect home away from home. The location so close to the city with all Major shops & attractions were within walking distance which made exploring the city really easy. The apartment is spacious, bright, as described and shown in photos. Bed was extremely comfortable. Check-in was effortless. Rhys the host available and easy to communicate with. What a perfect spot. So central yet quiet and beautifully fitted out. The little touches like bathrobes, marshmallows for the hot chocolate and a bikkie for a cuppa were lovely. The added discovery of a cool whiskey bar downstairs (not that you would have known!) was a treat. Would definitely recommend.

We really appreciated Alistair and Shelia's hospitality. They were the best hosts we have experienced with Airbnb rentals. The living accommodations were very comfortable and provided the space we needed to rest, do laundry, visit Wellington, and prepare for the next stage of our trip to South Island. We appreciated the closeness to bus and train routes into Wellington and to the Interislander Ferry to Picton.

Absolutely beautiful place: well designed, spotless, and comfortable, with a stunning view over Wellington harbor. The funicular access adds a bit of magic to the experience. Lovely, simple breakfast left for us. The location is perfect—a short walk from Wellington’s central business district. Loved our stay here.

Great apartment on a lovely neighborhood. You are a 10 minute walk away from the Khandallah shops. You have restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy, pretty much everything you need a quick stroll away. Jules is a very responsive and responsible host. She took care of everything and the apartment is great. We were welcomed with treats and super useful tips! Highly recommended!

Arriving for a very cold Wellington weekend, we found our lodging to be warm and cosy. Fiona had left freshly baked Anzac biscuits to welcome us, and a still warm, home baked loaf of bread arrived later in the afternoon. With the fresh fruit, meusli, yogurt and home made jams and preserves, also provided we enjoyed a feast each morning for breakfast. The bed was super comfy made up with high quality linens and pillows. The shower was hot and had strong water pressure. Fiona was a wonderful host, we appreciated her kind gestures and easy communication. We loved the proximity to family in Aro valley and the very short walk or Uber trip to reach Wellington City. We will certainly stay here again and will highly recommend this airbnb to friends and family.

Great apartment tucked away in the thick of it all — easy walking distance from Te Papa museum and the waterfront, easy Uber rides to Wētā Workshop and the airport, easy access to loads of restaurants and bars on Cuba Street. We had less than 48 hours in Wellington but this stylish place helped us make the most of it.

Great stay. Perfect for me, was looking for a place with views and at a decent but not too long walking distance from the city. Perfect for people at conference for example that still want to get some activity in and have sense of place, otherwise you just roll out of a hotel and into conference without realising you are in Wellington. Private, clean, practical amenities, clear instructions and how wonderful to have thoughtful details such as strings of lights on the table outside and inside on the bed to guide me (I arrived after sunset). I loved the walk to and from city (30 minutes to Tākina/ Te Papa, whichever route you take (either well lit pavement route down Palliser road or take the nature route - Victoria lookout and then through the Mount Victoria town belt - and bump into locations from LOTR such as where the hobbits hid from the black riders under tree roots). This home’s 180+ degree views encompass a wide sailboard and surfers beach, Wellington airport’s final-approach flight path (which is quiet) and the mouth of Wellington Harbor. Therefore it is fun, fascinating and fulfilling.

Mark and Fiona were the perfect hosts. Incredibly friendly and went above and beyond expectations for our stay. They made us feel so welcome and Mark makes a good cheese scone!!

Jan is a most kind, caring, and thoughtful host. She genuinely cares about the wellbeing of her guests. She is industrious and proactive day and night providing a first class base for our exploration of Wellington. Can't recommend her place more highly!
