Villa holiday rentals in Ishikawa

Wonderful experience staying at Villa Mitoreya. It's not your usual Airbnb, it's a lot more. The house is amazingly built with beautiful views and Tsuyoshi was an excellent host. He was present to welcome us, he went out of his way to drive us to a nearby restaurant so we didn't have to worry about parking and having a drink. His breakfast were delicious with many small details. It was like having a personal chef at home. We really enjoyed the peaceful environment and watching the local train pass in front of the house. It was like being in a Ghibli movie.

We loved our stay there! We were two people so the appartement was big and very nice, also with the cute cat decoration everywhere. the big bathtub was awesome, and the option to use the sauna was cool (but we didn't use it). that we had easy access to a cat room was an amazing surprise, very cool to calm down in the evening and cuddle the cats! the staff was super nice too. there were some drink and food options available so that was convenient. Train station was not far by foot, so it was a great place for a trip to Takayama and the surrounding area. but if you want to visit the Shirakawa-go villages and go by train/bus, it's better to stay in Takayama, cause all the busses start there (so you would have to drive from Hida to Takayama first always). but that's still possible, just takes longer. but we would recommend this appartement cause it's special and supports the cat shelter, so very cool concept!!

It's an amazing place for longer stays. Our group of 6 (male, 20s) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Compared to other places, what made it stand out to us were the living room, large bathroom and multiple toilets, and combination washer-dryer. Communication during our stay was also excellent and a problem with the microwave was resolved quickly. While the location is great for visiting nearby attractions like Kenrokuen and as a base for driving out of the city, there are better options if you plan to take the train out multiple times. Parking is out front and fit our Toyota Alphard. Our group didn't have any significant complaints.

Thierno gave us a thorough rundown of everything we needed to know and made us feel welcome. Any follow up questions I had were quickly answered, but generally we didn't need anything because everything was already great. We had our toddler with us and while they didn't have any crib or baby chair, we found the space to be great for her nonetheless. We had 4 adults, which was comfortable, but anymore might start to feel a little cramped. The only downside to this place is that if you plan to walk back from the old town, it's about 5-10 minutes of walking uphill without much shade. This was a little rough, so we figured out it's better to just walk over to the train station and hop in a cab back up instead. Would absolutely recommend staying here and will look at other Iori locations in the future.

The best host we have come across, and we have stayed in a 100 airbnbs. The place is made with so much love and soul. Great kitchen, nice Japanese futons. Oh and the cycles made the stay superb! Amazing recommendations by the host. The carpentry museum is a must do and 3 minutes walk away. Stay here instead of Takayama if you want to be away from crowds but still want a unique Japanese stay and a quaint town you can wander around in.

I would highly recommend staying here if you're spending time in Takayama. The location is ideal, the townhome is unique and very well appointed. Our host went above and beyond assisting us in getting the most out of our visit!
