It is a 1-minute walk to the hot springs and Daikokuji Temple, which has deep ties to tea. Shino, with its unique cafes, coffee roasters, delicious Japanese confectionery stores, bakeries, and soba shops. Please use the carefully restored Kyomachiya as your base for sightseeing in northern Kyoto, where time flows slowly, with a focus on natural materials and traditional craftsmanship by Miyadai Koge and Saigo craftsmen.

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

In addition to burning charcoal in the fireplace and enjoying the burning fire, you can enjoy the following as fireplace dishes. (We prepare 1 box of charcoal. The Japanese house stands in a biosphere reserve village, upstream on the Miyagawa (Miya River) which flows from Odaigahara National Park to Ise. The river is just a few minutes walk from the house which is the best place for chilling out, swimming with your family or family and enjoying water. 20 mins' drive from JR "Misedani" station and 60 mins' drive to the Osugidani Valley (one of the three greatest valleys in Japan).

Our house is traditional Japanese style house. 150 years old and in a very quiet location. We are renting house. Not shared with other guests. There are 2 bedrooms(Tatami-room) and 1 living room, gameroom, bathroom, shower toilet, all of the room are only for you. *Children is free of charge if your children don't need a bed and break fast. There are air conditioners in bedroom and livingroom.
