Wow what a beautiful space and home , tranquil and comfortable . Kitchen had ALL the amenities one would need . Comfortable beds - outdoor space is gorgeous . This home would be great for families . If you want to escape all the hustle and bustle this is the place to truly relax !!!

This “prairie style” cabin is not to be missed, if you are an admirer of nature orarchitecture. Every detail if the exterior and interior are well planned and executed to enhance the experience of the inspiring natural surroundings. So many great details. It is so cool to wake and look behind you to see the sunrise from the bedroom loft perch from this house on the rock. There are a wealth of species of birds around and with the bird feeder, guests are able to enjoy many avian melodies from dawn to dusk. Perfect for those who find peace by immersing in nature! Chris is a very considerate and highly accessible host. He does a great job of accommodating the place with every modern convenience, and provided interesting details about the history of the property. We barely left the grounds during our nine-day stay and loved our daily hikes on the on-premises trails and the well-appointed kitchen made it easy to cook and eat in the there or on the surrounding porch. Wonderful & peaceful cottage within beautiful, lush rolling hills located close to many things to do: Charming, historical, artsy Mineral Point with the Red Rooster for local pasties, World champion/Hooks Cheese (amazing fresh curds & cheese), and a great farmers market! Greg and Juliet are outstanding hosts. They made every effort to make us feel welcome and encouraged us to contact them with anything we might need. We had a couple of requests and they were immediately responsive. The setting for this home is beyond description. While the pictures are quite accurate, the views are positively stunning, better than you can imagine. If you are looking for a place to give you utmost privacy, peace and relaxation, this is it. The house has all the appointments you need. Beds are extremely comfortable, high-quality bath towels, and bed linens. The large screen TV offers access to your own personal streaming services. Early morning coffee sitting out on the comfortable deck taking in the beautiful vista before us was such a pleasure. We took an afternoon trip to Mineral Point, such a quaint town. Dodgeville had a farmers market we took advantage of as well as a wonderful restaurant called Cathryn’s Market. Fantastic sandwiches. We look forward to returning.

Home is very accommodating inside and out, the lake was perfect for kayaking and we visited downtown shops and a short ride to House on the Rock. Great place to reconnect with family!

It was a wonderful stay! Ashley was great. I wish we could have gotten closer to the river to fish but the place was clean and nice.

Interesting decor inside with a huge open outdoor space perfect for games or just enjoying the scenery. Perfect for escaping the city.
