Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Iowa City

We loved Erin’s home! It was the perfect “far but not too far” escape from Chicago for a quick creative retreat, and provided a quiet, charming and very comfortable home base to explore Iowa City. Everything had a special touch - the ac/heating unit was modern and easy, the kitchen was well-stocked with nice tools and pantry essentials, the towels were cushy, the laundry units were clean and easy to use. Everything was so effortless and perfect. There was one issue I had to contact Erin about, and she was quick to respond and handle it with me. All of this, and her recommendations were spot-on. I’m hoping to return again, much sooner than later. Highly recommend this space for couples, small families, and friends to chill and create memories. 😊

RJ and Hope have done an excellent job setting up this location. During our stay we throughly enjoyed the home the two of them had set up and amenities they’ve obviously put a lot of work into. It was another excellent weekend in Iowa City, thank you RJ and Hope!

It is a wonderful historic home. It has been beautifully maintained - I assume retaining the original rooms and layout. Early June is a great time to be here - was able to open the windows to take advantage of the wonderful breeze and cool night time temperatures. We had a family reunion and used the space to gather for a family history slide show event for those of us staying there as well as some others who were at hotels. Plugged my computer to an HDMI on the TV (this was one of the questions I had for Doug prior to the stay, and he responded immediately confirming that the flat screen TV would be able to do that). The house is set back from the street with lots of gardens. Awoke one morning to a sleeping buck out the side, and a doe with two fawns in front. Very peaceful. Lightening bugs too!! Thank you, Doug!!

My family and I had an unforgettable stay at Amy's place. It was perfect for our party of 6. The house has a spacious, open living/dining/kitchen area. Plus the bedrooms are quiet and spacious, too. Great showers with strong water pressure and those towels others have mentioned! We loved everything about this place and plan to return in the future. The house is even nicer than the photos show, and it's on a beautiful, peaceful land. And Amy was one of the best AirBnB hosts I've ever stayed with. She was helpful and kind, and we are grateful for this experience.

Great location and great host! We had to book this house at the last minute, and Greg was very responsive. He was also flexible to give us a late check out when that was really needed. Overall, the house was perfect for our needs and we would stay there again.

Beautiful Airbnb! When you walk into each room it is thoughtfully put together with those special touches of home. Loved the socks (as you leave your shoes by the door), the welcome sign on the kitchen counter, the coffee pods, farm fresh eggs & microwave popcorn. The gas fireplace warmed the basement while we watched movies (we were able to control the thermostat). Having soft water to shower in was so nice. The beds were comfortable. There was a ping pong & foosball table in the garage. There was a hot tub although we didn't use it I'm sure it was as well kept as everything else. The property this Airbnb sits on is beautiful as it sits in the country. My favorite spot was on the front porch as it was so welcoming and serene. We watched the squirrels, birds, turkeys and the deer. Our hosts, Gary & Carrie invited us to feed their goats with the snacks that were left on the kitchen counter. They are so very nice and responsive if you need anything. We definitely recommend!

Very comfortable and well decorated apartment. Extremely clean, great location and numerous thoughtful extras. Highly recommended if you ever need a stay in Iowa City.

Me and the rest of the groomsmen I was traveling with needed a place to crash between events for a wedding. Was super clean and nice, comfiest couch I’ve ever slept on felt like a brand new man afterwards. The queen bed was great the smaller beds weren’t bad (all of us are over 6 feet tall it wasn’t the beds’ fault) the ACs kept up wonderfully with the mid 80s weather and plenty of fans to stay cool as well. If I ever find myself needing a place to stay in the area again I will be booking here!

Totally will use them again in the future. We used the rental for our churches anniversary young guest speakers. They loved the area, had a great time in the pool and whirlpool!

It was a wonderful place to stay and we will definitely be back!!

Amazing stay for a couple. Definitely would recommend.

My family and I stayed two nights at this cozy condo while visiting the Iowa Children's Museum, which is a few mins drive away. The restaurants and amenities of Iowa River Landing are a 20m walk or a short drive, and downtown Iowa City is only 10m drive. The condo was spotlessly clean and enough space for us, with decent Wi-Fi, comfy beds and a Roku enabled TV. The host's management company provided extremely specific instructions to find the way in, and there's a reserved parking spot out front. This place fit our needs well!

The apartment was as described. Pretty Quiet neighborhood. Apartment has a “college” feel but the bed was extremely comfortable and the place was very clean. It was nice to have coffee pods for the morning! Great value when the hotel for a wedding was way overpriced!

I loved this place so much! The location, the lay out of the apartment, the decor, and amenities were wonderful. I’m already thinking of planning a staycation to return!
