House holiday rentals in Hythe

This is the second time we have stayed at Corrina’s holiday home and once again we found it to be squeaky clean, very well equipped, peaceful and a great location. The garden is home to a family of foxes, who were so confident, that they sunbathed on the lawn whilst we were sitting on the veranda. Corrina made us aware of check in details in very good time and left a number just in case we needed assistance, which I’m happy to say we didn’t need. The surrounding area is so lush and green, this time of year, and there is always plenty of interesting things to do nearby. We will visit again next year, but hopefully for longer this time. Thank you.

We had a lovely stay here, Nick was an excellent host, greeted us on arrival and very helpful with local info. Nick responded almost immediately to messages and had the pool ready for us to use as and when we requested. The kids had so much fun in the pool, the floats and toys left out to use were an added bonus! House was spotless and perfectly equipped. Would definitely Recommend and would happily return. We absolutely loved our stay and will be booking again. The space was clean, warm and very spacious up and downstairs. The design and decor was on another level. We couldn’t get over the beautiful chandelier. We were greeted with fruits and milk on arrival in the large kitchen. Ahead of our journey we were given clear directions to the property. Access was easy and there were clear instructions for the sauna, pool etc. We used the sauna daily. It’s was huge and looked brand new. We were be able to watch the kids swim in the pool from the sauna. The kids absolutely loved the pool and took every opportunity day and night to swim. It really was a bonus to have our own pool. 5 of us stayed for a week and there was enough space in the fridge and freezer for all of our food. I have already recommended the space to my friends.

Jane was a brilliant host. Responsive, professional and very friendly. The cottage was clean, had everything you’d need and more! The pool and hot were definitely the highlight! Thank you for a lovely stay :)

I stayed for my 30th birthday celebrations and had the best time ever. This place was perfect! the decor, the location, the surroundings and most importantly Karen and her husband was so friendly and lovely and ensured I had a special birthday. I’ve stayed at Airbnb’s before and I’ve never had a host as lovely as Karen was, the perfect host we could have wish for. The swimming pool was amazing and me and my family had a wonderful time enjoying it in the sun with a BBQ. The cottage was spotless and a welcome hamper was provided and every little detail was perfect. The garden area was beautiful through out the day and so peaceful and relaxing. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough, it was truly perfect and I will definitely be staying again and recommending to everyone I know! Thank you again for making it such a special birthday x

We were very impressed on arrival. Lovely peaceful grounds, pool bigger than we’d expected and great games area. Good place to stay with our extended family, good central location, really enjoyed nearby Canterbury. We were lucky with the weather. We visited Howletts zoo & 2 different sea-sides. The house is quite warm, it’s great fans are provided in all bedrooms. Improvements- Need better extraction for the kitchen- & update the book on what to do if the smoke alarm goes off! The agency were quick to help but with poor phone signal this was tricky to arrange. Bigger beds/ new mattresses Downstairs loo had no toilet lid Other reviews mentioned cobwebs & the place seeming a bit ‘tired’, I’d agree with some of that but it didn’t stop us having a wonderful time & a few cobwebs don’t bother me, everything else was clean and we’d love to return .

This was our second visit to the Lighthouse and it still is an amazing place, from the panoramic sea views to a lovely warm inviting home. A dip in the pool before breakfast, sitting with a coffee watching the seascape, as far as Essex and beyond, sunsets and so much more. I will make the same comment as I did last, this goes for the whole of our party across 3 generations and the dogs, the only bad thing about the Lighthouse is having to leave. Hopefully this will not be our last visit.

Excellent family home in a quiet village near Dover. A great place to explore and good homebase for exploration. Claire's place was just as advertised and worked out very well for my family. 5/5 would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at The Glen-what a great find! Sarah sent an extremely comprehensive check-in message before we arrived & check-in was easy & straight forward Loved how much space there was & how quiet the location was. The house looked lovely & lots of wildlife to see in the garden (foxes, rabbits, loads of birds & insects) Fantastic location with so much around locally to do, either only a short drive or walk. Myself & my 10 year old had a lovely little walk down to the beach. We were there in only a leisurely 20 minutes. The canal walk looked a great find but sadly we ran out of time for that…….maybe next time! We had everything we needed, a great supply of towels, toilet roll, toiletries etc We stayed as our family of 4 (2 adults 2 kids) & our friends as a family of 2 adults & there was plenty of space for us all Would definitely recommend & would happily return. We would recommend a visit to Port Lympne Safari park & also to Brockhill walks which was a great find!

This is a lovely property with many original features but tastefully updated and welcoming. Our daughter and family stayed for Christmas week and were bowled over with the property and our 3 Yr old granddaughter christened it her Cosy House which describes it perfectly. It is located in the centre of Saltwood village and is ideal for a couple with two small children. One of the nicest AirBnB we have used. Will definitely use again in the future.

The flat was lovely and up to date. We felt like we were staying in a friends home. It was super-convenient for Waitrose and the High Street as well as Ladies Walk down to the beach. We also enjoyed the garden out back. We cooked many meals in the kitchen and found everything we needed. We stayed for a week and will be back!!

A lovely charming house, extremely well thought for a rental, premium service in all bedrooms. The four bedrooms allow to have 2 families comfortably installed. Would definitely recommend

We stayed at Marie’s for the weekend to experience the steam strain and the safari. The place is cosy, clean and located in a very quiet village. Mark & Marie made us feel at home and they prepared everything for our 2 years old son…bath basin, shower gel, toys, books and even milk in the fridge. We asked to place our ice pack in their freezer and they brought a small freezer for us 😍. They even prepared few beers in the fridge for us. Also, they gave us a late check out to let our son taking a nap. Super attentive and considerate hosts. Many thanks Marie & Mark.

Perfect property, perfect location, perfect host. Five stars!

This property was perfect for our visit to the area. A brilliant public football pitch to play with my kids located just across the road with the beach 2 minutes away through the back gate. This was a last minute booking whilst visiting family but will definitely use again to bring the family in the summer! Thank you for letting us use such a great home.

This beautiful house was just what we needed. Spacious, modern, clean and very well situated right by the canal and the sea. It has a lovely decking area with a fab hot tub and outdoor garden furniture. We loved the fact we had 4 double, en suite bedrooms. Plus each bedroom has a TV. The kitchen is well equipped and everything was in good working order. We had a luxurious stay and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. It's easy to get onto the traffic-free canal path by just going across the back lawn and through the gate. Once there the canal path offers wide easy cycle paths for many miles. It was just what I wanted as my daughter has a mild learning disability and I wanted somewhere she could cycle without us having to worry. It was perfect. We also walked one day to Folkestone all along the promenade by the sea. It was a beautiful day and a gorgeous walk - 8 miles. We went to the National Trust site at the White Cliffs of Dover and the Deep Fan tunnel. Thank you! Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay at Ursula's home over a sunny weekend in Folkestone. the house was immaculate and Ursula kitted it out with everything we needed for a really comfortable stay including providing stair gates, highchair etc for my my friend's 1 year old. A great place to stay for families or groups of friends, would recommend!

We stopped over at Kates place before we took the Shuttle over to France and it was perfect. The house is super comfy, clean, very sweet, and Mersham is a lovely village. The house is practically next to the pub, which served good beers and very decent food and the staff were great. Kate also let us know about the new cafe (along with lots of other pieces of info and helpful recommemdations) - which was ideal for breakfast. Everything was so easy. Would have happily stayed longer and definitely would stay again!

Second year staying at this beautiful little home. Perfect for all our needs and always a lovely warm welcome. Peaceful and lovely surroundings and the chicken and goats always a child pleaser.

Wir haben uns in Simons Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage und Ausstattung sind super - das Cottage wunderschön eingerichtet und ruhig. Auch der nahe gelegene Parkplatz ist super praktisch.

Great location, right across the street from the beach, the city center, and necessities. Walking distance to the Western Heights which can be accessible at any time and only a 5 minute drive to the white cliffs and Dover castle.

We had a lovely stay at Kate’s place! A great location for a family get together near the beach. There are lovely cafes & deli’s within walking distance in Sandgate. And the location was also great for exploring Folkestone & the local area. A fab spacious home, we would stay again! Thanks Kate as well for helping with the heating & being really responsive with messages, it really made a difference :)

Lovely accommodation, beautiful views. Adam was helpful and left detailed instructions. Nice walks along the beach edge to Hythe and Folkestone.

We really enjoyed staying at Amy’s place. The cottage is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Amy was a helpful and responsive host. The location is superb, our first time in Rye but we will be back. We particularly enjoyed brunch at The Fig and dinner at The Union in Rye and The George Hotel has a lovely courtyard for drinks.
