Holiday rentals with a kayak in Houghton County

Wow! The views from the back of the house to Dollar Bay are amazing!!! Plenty of space, everything we needed to cook meals, and close to downtown Houghton. Perfect location!

Great place to stay. There was nothing in the kitchen we couldn't find in the cupboards to use. The view is great, close to places we wanted to see. Would stay here again if it is available when we are in the area. Thank for recommending Silver River Falls, it's awesome.

This place was a perfect getaway spot! The home is clean and the decor is very cute. Large kitchen with all amenities necessary to cook meals while there. Beds more firm than I’m used to, but still very comfortable and cozy. Comfy blankets, sheets, and pillows also. Location was fantastic and rustic with few neighbors. Private access to beautiful little lake with dock and a variety of boats to explore with. Flies and mosquitos could be intense at times, so we really enjoyed relaxing outside within the protections of the screened in porch. Very peaceful and relaxing trip, thanks to this gem. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Such a relaxing experience in ambience, location, and comfort! The house was furnished with everything one could need! Even a garlic peeler! (As a cook I appreciated that!) We thoroughly enjoyed The Lakehouse!

All I can say is WOW! I would not hesitate to rent this place if I were ever in the area again. The kitchen is so well stocked with anything you could possibly need and more (coffee, tea, spices, popcorn). The hosts have really gone above and beyond in providing so many little "extras" that are really appreciated. We were there for a Michigan Tech graduation and we received a very nice card, balloon and bottle of sparkling juice. Everything was super clean and tidy and communication from the hosts is top notch. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Beautiful historic lake front home with plenty of space for my family. Comfortable and filled with history as outlined in write up about the home's origins and previous owners. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises each morning of our springtime stay. Great communication from Paul making this a great experience!

Daniel’s place was easily one of the best places we have stayed. It was beautifully decorated and we felt so at home! There was so many extra things provided for snow shoeing and a foosball table. There was an instruction manual available and very clear instructions. We really enjoyed the arctic entry way (from Alaska lol) so that’s what they are called, but catches snow and boots etc before entering the home. Everything we needed was provided included extra large towels and the pillows and beds/blankets were all so comfortable! It meets every need and want in a home away from home! Most airbnbs don’t meet every need like this one.

Fantastic hosts and lovely area. We star gazed, had bonfires, fished, hiked, and more. Hosts were super responsive to anything we needed. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Debs place was perfect for an adventure to the UP. Comfortable, the sauna was fantastic. My friends and I would be glad to return.

Barry and Carol are incredible hosts. The place is exactly what my dad and I needed for our yearly trip to the UP. We got a flat tire and Barry and Carol were beyond helpful. I thought it was going to ruin our trip but turned into a 30 min drive with a spare, and one of the best Pasties I’ve had which was a win. Thanks again.

Some girl friends and I had a wonderful stay here. Very beautiful place, scenery, and very peaceful. Close to Quincy’s for a place to eat, and had lots of kitchenware for cooking. Overall, we had all the essential amenities we needed and more. I recommend staying here!

It was fun being right on the water. Took the canoe out, which was fun. The games and books left there was great. Game night is always a good time.

Cozy, clean, peaceful cottage! Lovely view from the wrap-around porch. Loved the location and being so close to the beach. Great place to travel with our dogs. Close enough to local restaurants and plenty of cute shops nearby to explore, along with lots of outdoor activities. Cell service was limited and the Wi-Fi was very spotty, but would definitely stay here again!

Great place for a weekend fishing or lake getaway. I have 0 complaints on this place and it was overall great. The boat and kayaks are a great addition to the property and made it fun and easy to get around the lake and just get out on the water. I would totally recommend.

This cozy, clean and quiet place right on Lake Superior is simply wonderful. Had access to everything we needed. And what a perfect week of sunshine and good weather to enjoy all that the area and house has to offer. Thank you and I can not wait to come back!!

Carol's place had everything we needed for a great trip to the Keweenaw. Check in was easy and the place was clean.

We had a short but great stay. It was clean and cozy! We appreciated the hospitality.

I stayed at Kari’s place with my husband and three kids. We all had enough place to sleep, and to spend time together. The cabin had everything we needed and more. The coffee and the basket with snacks were appreciated. The entire place was well cleaned and modern. We all enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. The kids really liked the game room.

Our group had a wonderful stay here! It was a great way to disconnect from the bustle of daily life. The lake was so peaceful and we loved playing games by lantern light in the greateoom. Rebecca was super helpful with explaining the how-tos of off grid living and it was super easy to enjoy our stay. We will definitely be coming back again in the future!

the place was great! I would not hesitate to stay here again. the place was clean, in a great location, and had all the essentials. the hot tub and sauna were great amenities as well.

Great stay, the cabin was well appointed an as described. Beautiful lake views and wonderful star gazing. We arrived at night and it was a little bit difficult to find our way around the back of the house to the entry point in the dark but we made it in. Very quiet and peaceful.

Lovely large place right on the lake w/ great views. Four bathrooms, four bedrooms, lots of bunks. Two large beds. Big kitchen. Big TV. Close to Mt. Bohemia for skiing abd hot tub sauna, and closer still to Calumet for the Nordic ski race - the great bear chase. Good times!

The cabin was perfect for my son and I on our snowmobiling adventure. 24 foot enclosed trailer and we had no issues getting situated. Trail #3 was right across the street. We will make this our go to accommodations for future riding in the Keweenaw!!!
