Beautiful location, great hosts, very helpful. If able, definitely recommend the motorbike/scooter tour Thanh offers and also hiring a scooter yourself and going exploring the surrounding mountains. Great location, beautiful setting and big rooms. We arrived late at night and was asked if we would like to have dinner ready for when we arrived. This was s nice little touch. They organised scooters for us, which allowed us to see more of Ninh Binh. I loved the location which is right near the pagoda and you can see it at night from this location.

great place, clean rooms. there is an indoor pool and a pool table in the public area that can be used. the host was helpful and provided us with useful suggestions and also helped us book Limousine Van tickets. overall nice place!

The place is right near a water body and very close to pagoda. It’s a very beautiful natural layout with amazing home made local food and good local beer. The care taker though can’t speak English but uses google translator for effective communication. It’s feel awesome to have a cup of coffee near the lake. The hospitality is also awesome and room is big, clean and spacious.

Thanh and his family are wonderful people! Thanh made my birthday stay very memorable, he even surprised me with a cake, which was such a thoughtful gesture. I highly recommend doing his tour of Ninh Binh. It’s a bit more expensive than the local tours offered through apps like Viator, but it’s absolutely worth it! His exclusive tour avoids the tourist crowds and shows you the real Ninh Binh..the peaceful, serene spots in addition to the main attractions. He also took us to a restaurant that had the best food I’ve had in Vietnam so far! ( the meal was included in the tour price) Overall, it was a great stay, and I’ll definitely come back again.

The host and his family are so peaceful and friendly. We always greeted each other with a smile. Clean toilets and bedding allowed us to have a good rest. When I turned on the water, I was briefly startled by the thud of the water tank, but it was fine. The sound of chickens and birds outside gave me a rural atmosphere, so I was able to relax. Thank you very much! And I have a very cute kid! very very pretty and cute And also the host allowed us to store our luggage. Thank you very much

What an amazing place to stay! Mountain Side is such a beautiful family run homestay, with delicious food, great recommendations for near by attractions, comfy beds, and great extras such as the pool, pool table and dog and cat! Our family of 4 loved our stay, and look forward to returning 💛

Duong and his wife's place is a huge favorite. Thank you for your kindness, for all the recommendations and for arranging us before and after our reservation. The accommodation is very well located. Cleanliness level in the room or pool, that's fine. The beds are comfortable and the restaurant is just great, both on the quality and the price. Finally, the wifi connection is very good (I had to work there and had no problems). Our experience in Ninh Binh was exceptional thanks to Duong and his wife. Go ahead, you won't regret it!

The place is amazing and we had the much needed rest stop we were looking for. It is located in a scenic surrounding and has many restaurants in walkable distance. Mountain side also provides good good at good rates and the breakfast was large and filling. The pool is clean and the entire family running the property works very hard to look after the place. The even organized rental scooters for us at a good rate. Thanks for an amazing holiday.

Nice little cosy hotel. Room was spacious for the 4 of us (2 adults 2 kids). Bed was comfortable. All in all clean (not super-clean). Pool was clean and kids enjoyed it. You can rent a bike for little money and explore the area. Restaurants in walking distance. Host are very nice. We liked it!

Our stay here was perfect. Vân was extremely welcoming and allowed us to check-in early which was greatly appreciated! The accommodation is very clean and looks exactly like the pictures. The location is very central and is lovely and peaceful... the pool was an excellent addition! I The included breakfast was very filling and tasty. I would stay here again if back in Tam Coc and highly recommend it! Thank you again for your hospitality Vân :)

We had an amazing time staying 2 nights at mountainside. The hosts are so helpful and provide you with so many recommendations! They also offer a bike and scooter rentals which made our travel around Ninh Binh super easy. The location is beautiful and super peaceful and the room was big and clean with really good aircon! Couldn’t recommend enough.

I stayed for 3 weeks and it was perfect ! Probably the prettiest place I saw in Vietnam, it's a little green paradise. The restaurant was good, bungalow was clean and cozy, and the team was kind and helpful. 100% recommend, would definitely stay here again! The cooking class was fun too !
